Alpha Marked By A Ruthless Enigma (BL)
Chapter 28 - 27: You Belong to Me
Julius stepped out of the car without waiting for her to open the door. Harrison’s house stood in front of him. Everything was too quiet.
The guards at the gate weren’t moving. No one was visible outside. No security walking around like there usually was. Julius didn’t slow down.
If anything, his anger pushed him forward faster. He walked straight to the front door and pushed it open without knocking. The air inside felt cold and controlled.
"Breaking into someone’s house now?" The voice came from deeper inside, calm and amused. Julius didn’t stop walking. "I don’t remember needing permission."
His voice turned cold. "When you broke into my world, did you ask for mine?" Then Harrison stepped into view, moving slowly like he had all the time in the world.
He looked completely unbothered. No surprise on his face. No anger. Nothing. Like he had been expecting Julius all along.
"You came faster than I thought," Harrison said. Julius stopped a few feet away from him. "You destroyed my company stocks." Harrison tilted his head.
"Did I?" "Don’t play games with me. You think I don’t know that was you?" Harrison didn’t deny it.
He just watched Julius with those dark eyes. "What do you want from me?" Julius demanded. "You reject my proposals twice, then suddenly approve them."
"You send me to a hotel, then leave before I arrive. You crash my stocks the second I visit Helen." He took a step closer.
"What kind of game are you playing?" Harrison’s expression didn’t change. "You’re asking the wrong questions." "Then what should I be asking?"
"Why you keep choosing her over me." Julius froze. His hands curled into fists. "I didn’t choose her," Julius shot back.
"She got into an accident. I went because—" "Because you still care." Harrison’s voice stayed calm.
"Even after she drugged you. Even after she tried to trap you. You still ran to her the moment she called." Julius looked away.
"I went to end it. I told her never to contact me again." "And yet you were late." Harrison took one step forward.
"I was waiting for you. But you chose to see her first." The air between them felt heavier now. Thicker.
"I didn’t know you were planning to crash my entire company as punishment," Julius replied, his voice rising. "You want answers? Then give me some first."
"Tell me why you keep hiding everything. Tell me what you want from me." Harrison smiled. "You’re the top Alpha in this city, aren’t you?"
"The one everyone respects. The one who built an empire from nothing." He moved closer. "So why can’t you find the answers yourself?"
Julius stared at him. "You think it’s that easy?" "I think you’re not trying hard enough." "Not trying?"
Julius’s voice turned sharp with frustration. "Do you know how impossible it is to find anything about you? I’ve had people searching for weeks."
"Your security is out of this world. No one can get close to you. No one knows anything real about you." He stepped even closer now.
Anger burning in his chest. "You expect me to figure everything out on my own when you’ve made it impossible for anyone to learn the truth?"
Harrison didn’t move back. He just stood there, watching Julius. "Maybe that’s the point," Harrison said quietly.
The air changed. Harrison’s pheromones started spreading through the room, controlled and deliberate. They didn’t calm Julius down the way an Enigma’s scent should.
Instead, they made everything worse. The heat. The frustration. The anger. Julius clenched his teeth. "Stop that."
Harrison stared at him. "Stop what?" "You know exactly what. You’re doing this on purpose." "Am I?"
Harrison’s voice dropped lower, more dangerous. The pheromones grew stronger. They wrapped around Julius like chains, pulling at something deep inside him.
His breathing changed. His body responded against his will. Julius grabbed the front of Harrison’s shirt, pulling him closer.
"I’m not playing this game anymore. Tell me what you want. Tell me why you’re doing this. Tell me—" "Tell you what?"
Harrison cut him off. "That you’re mine? That you’ve always been mine? That everything I do is to keep you exactly where you belong?"
Julius froze. His grip tightened on Harrison’s shirt, but he couldn’t move. Couldn’t speak. Harrison leaned in closer.
"You want the truth, Julius? Here it is. You don’t belong with her. You don’t belong in that fake engagement."
"You don’t belong anywhere else." His voice dropped. "You belong to me."
The pheromones in the air wrapped around him tighter.
It was making it harder to think clearly. "You’re insane," Julius said, but his voice came out weaker than he wanted. "Maybe."
Harrison’s hand came up to Julius’s wrist, holding it there against his chest. He didn’t let go. "But you’re still here, aren’t you?"
"Still demanding answers. Still coming back to me no matter how many times you try to walk away." Julius tried to pull back.
Harrison’s grip didn’t let him. "Let go," Julius said. "No." "Harrison—" "You wanted the truth."
Harrison’s eyes locked onto his, burning with something dangerous and possessive. "Now you have it. What are you going to do about it?"
The room went silent. Julius stood there, his heart pounding too hard, his mind racing with too many thoughts at once.
Then Harrison’s phone rang. The sound cut through the tension like a blade. Harrison didn’t move to answer it.
He just kept staring at Julius, waiting for his response. The phone kept ringing. Once. Twice. Three times.
Finally, Harrison let go of Julius’s wrist and pulled out his phone. He glanced at the screen. His expression changed completely.
All the control. All the calm. All the power. Gone. His face went blank. Empty.
Then something else crossed his features. Fear. Harrison answered without saying hello. Just listened.
Whatever the person on the other end said made Harrison’s entire body go still. Then he ended the call and looked back at Julius.
"You need to leave," Harrison said. His voice was different now. Flat. Cold. Julius frowned. "What?"
"Get out. Now." "You just said—" "I said leave. Before I do something we’ll both regret."
Julius stared at him, trying to understand what just changed. But Harrison’s face showed nothing.
For the first time, Julius saw something in Harrison’s eyes that scared him.
Not anger. Not possessiveness. Fear. Raw, genuine fear.
