An image of Sophia Shaw’s face flashed through Jenson Forrest’s mind.

But he said, "No."

"It couldn’t be Levin Sawyer, could it? Didn’t someone say he was the one who registered Clover’s email address?" Justin Hughes asked.

Justin Hughes didn’t know that Clover had worked as a consultant for Stellaron. All he knew was that this person had helped Joanna Sherman, and that Joanna was now looking for him.

"What’s Levin Sawyer’s angle?"

A profound look had already appeared in Justin Hughes’s eyes.

Sharon Sherman quickly chimed in, "My sister really is attractive. Even someone like Levin Sawyer is switching sides for her."

Sharon Sherman hated Sophia Shaw and couldn’t wait for Levin Sawyer to dump her for Joanna Sherman.

Joanna Sherman, of course, knew that Levin Sawyer would never be interested in her, but she didn’t respond.

Instead, she looked at Vincent Grant.

Vincent Grant’s expression was placid, showing no change even after hearing Sharon Sherman say that Levin Sawyer had fallen for Joanna Sherman.

Joanna Sherman’s fingers, wrapped around her glass, couldn’t help but tighten.

「The next day.」

Sophia Shaw and Levin Sawyer went to Stellaron to perform the final inspection.

"Here."

The moment they walked in, Young Master Croft held out a bouquet of flowers.

Sophia Shaw found her arms full of flowers. She looked at Young Master Croft in astonishment. "For me?"

She glanced outside.

’Has hell frozen over?’

Young Master Croft nodded awkwardly. "Yeah. My dad told me to give them to you."

Caleb Croft hadn’t been explicit, so Young Master Croft didn’t know what the flowers were for.

’I guess the old man wants me to apologize to Sophia Shaw with flowers.’

Young Master Croft scratched his head, the words "I’m sorry" stuck in his throat, too embarrassed to be said aloud.

Sophia Shaw had no interest in the reason for the flowers. She was busy with work and looked down at her laptop. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Levin Sawyer understood Caleb Croft’s intentions at a glance. ’Oh, interesting,’ he thought.

’So Caleb Croft actually wants to make Sophia Shaw his daughter-in-law.’

In the distance, Vincent Grant and Joanna Sherman were striding toward them.

Both were wearing work uniforms, looking as handsome and beautiful as ever.

"Good morning, you two."

Joanna Sherman politely greeted Levin Sawyer and Sophia Shaw. When she saw the flowers in Sophia’s hands, she smiled, pressing her lips together.

"Miss Sherman." Young Master Croft still held a certain admiration for Joanna Sherman.

His eyes lit up when he saw her.

"I actually have a question for you. Do you have a moment?"

Young Master Croft had been forced by Caleb Croft to cram rocket science lately, so he used this as an excuse to get some time alone with Joanna Sherman.

"Of course."

Joanna Sherman was gracious and stepped aside with Young Master Croft.

Levin Sawyer had to take a sudden phone call and motioned to Sophia Shaw.

Sophia Shaw nodded, carried the flowers to the changing room, put on her work uniform, and donned a hard hat.

When she turned around, she saw Vincent Grant standing in the doorway, his arms at his sides, his watch glinting brightly.

His expression was slightly dark, yet he exuded a boundless aura of nobility.

He was looking right at her.

"Cedric has called you many times. Why haven’t you answered?"

’I thought he came to find me to finalize the divorce date, but I guess not?’

A little disappointed, she gave a noncommittal "oh."

"Too busy."

She was so busy right now she didn’t even have time to take care of her little Bun, so how could she spare any time for Cedric Grant, whose mind was completely filled with "Auntie Joanna"?

Besides, Cedric Grant was only happy when he was chatting with "Auntie Joanna." She didn’t want to offer a warm welcome only to get the cold shoulder.

Sophia Shaw’s coldness drew a helpless smile from Vincent Grant.

He reached out and plucked the flowers from her arms. "Caleb Croft had Young Master Croft give you these flowers. His intention is to make you The Croft Family’s daughter-in-law. Are you really going to accept them?"

With a flick of his wrist, he tossed them into a nearby trash can.

Sophia Shaw hadn’t thought much of it, but his comment made her finally understand.

She looked at the flowers in the trash can, feeling both embarrassed and speechless.

’But Young Master Croft is obviously more interested in Joanna Sherman. Why isn’t Vincent Grant stopping him instead of running over here to snatch my flowers?’

"Young Master Grant, I’m sorry, but Faye doesn’t like to be disturbed while she’s working."

Levin Sawyer came over and said bluntly.

He gave Sophia Shaw a gentle push, using his own body to separate the two of them.

The two of them entered the cabin, one after the other.

The door shut in Vincent Grant’s face.

Just then, Cedric Grant’s call came through. "Dad, did you see Mommy?"

His voice was exceptionally tense.

He had been calling for days, but Sophia Shaw hadn’t answered, and Cedric Grant was very worried.

Hearing that his mom might be at Zenith, he had timed his call to Vincent Grant perfectly.

"When is Mommy going to stop being mad at me?"

"Don’t worry. She’s just been too busy to answer your calls."

"She’s not mad anymore."

Vincent Grant said.

He had always been very patient with his son, Cedric Grant.

"Really?"

Vincent Grant hummed in affirmation. "If you’re still worried, I’ll have her call you later."

"Okay." The tension in Cedric Grant’s heart finally dissipated.

The moment he relaxed, his thoughts turned to Joanna Sherman.

’I wonder if Mommy gave Auntie Joanna a hard time.’

’Lately, Mommy’s always using Uncle Sawyer to put down Auntie Joanna, deliberately making people think Auntie Joanna is useless.’

After what happened last time, Cedric Grant didn’t have the face to try and persuade Sophia Shaw.

He could only sigh.

’Oh well. At worst, I’ll just have to be even nicer to Auntie Joanna and take on more responsibility for looking after my little sister.’

’Who else could do it? I’m her son, after all.’

Sophia Shaw was oblivious to what anyone else was thinking, completely immersed in her own world.

Her clear, dark eyes were serious and calm, the beauty mark by the corner of her eye perfectly still.

Not until she had confirmed the final component did she let out a soft sigh of relief.

She took the tissue Levin Sawyer handed her and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Her back was already soaked with sweat, her clothes clinging tightly to her skin and outlining her slender waist.

It was stuffy and hot inside the cabin, with temperatures reaching at least thirty degrees Celsius—nearly ninety degrees Fahrenheit.

Working for four or five consecutive hours in such an environment was no easy feat.

Sophia Shaw and Levin Sawyer walked out together.

"You’ve worked hard."

A bottle of water was offered to her.

It was Vincent Grant.

Sophia Shaw flinched back reflexively, but Levin Sawyer reached out from behind her and took it. "Thank you, President Grant."

Vincent Grant smiled and offered another bottle to Sophia Shaw.

Levin Sawyer intercepted it once again, wiped it on his clothes as if no one else was there, twisted it open, and handed it to Sophia Shaw. "Here, drink."

"Thanks."

Sophia Shaw took it and started drinking.

Vincent Grant watched Sophia Shaw drink the water, his eyes dark.

"You two have worked hard. Let’s all go out to eat," Joanna Sherman said, walking over like a hostess.

Levin Sawyer looked at Sophia Shaw.

Sophia Shaw shook her head. "No, thanks."

Levin Sawyer shrugged. "Sorry, it’s not that we’re looking down on a meal with you two. Faye’s just too busy."

It was true that Sophia Shaw was busy.

But Levin Sawyer had deliberately added the phrase "looking down on," blatantly pointing out that the main reason they wouldn’t eat with them was precisely that: they looked down on them.

Even someone as composed as Joanna Sherman couldn’t keep her expression from changing.

Vincent Grant’s lips tightened.

"Cedric will be there too. Sophia, are you not even willing to have a meal with your own son?"

"No matter what, you’re the one who brought him into this world."

Sophia Shaw couldn’t figure out why Vincent Grant was so insistent she go to this meal that he would even resort to guilt-tripping her.

"Let’s go."

"Um... I just remembered I have something to do. Why don’t you guys go ahead," Joanna Sherman said.

Levin Sawyer followed up, "I have something to do as well. Why don’t you three have one last family get-together?"

He deliberately emphasized the word "family," glancing at Joanna Sherman with a smirk.

He waved at Sophia Shaw and left.

Joanna Sherman also went upstairs in her high heels.

’Vincent Grant didn’t even ask Joanna Sherman to stay?’

Sophia Shaw raised an eyebrow in surprise, but quickly lowered her gaze.

Upstairs, Jack Holloway ran into Joanna Sherman, a surprised look on his face. "Ms. Sherman, you’re not having dinner with President Grant?"

Joanna Sherman just hummed in response, her gaze cold as she brushed past Jack Holloway.

She entered her office.

And closed the door.

Then, with a loud CRASH, she swept everything off her desk!

’Vincent Grant actually used Cedric just to make Sophia Shaw stay for dinner!’

’What does he mean by that?!’
