Chapter 416: Bonus - : Valentine’s Day of Light and Flame_3
A Flame Demon. The Flame Demon girl seemed to be frightened by a wooden door that looked like a gentle push would knock it over, she looked at the two men piled in the corner of the wall, shyly covering her face, "Ah, sorry, did I come to the wrong place?" Her innocent face and a fiery figure were enough to ignite the blood of all men, but the Silver Knight merely asked his father in surprise.
"You’ve arranged for me to have a blind date with a Flame Demon?"
Hot dog.
For some reason, that was the first thing the Silver Knight thought of.
"Rufus Flameheart, she’s no ordinary Flame Demon, the leader of the Black Abyssal Demons, Pomfrey Black Abyss is her aunt. She is the little princess of the Black Abyssal Demons, the pearl in the palm of the Black Abyssal Demons. That is the future fortune I prepared for you, and something you must take on, to strengthen the ties between the royal family and the Demon Race, you must win her over no matter what. By the way, she is a fanatic fan of the Holy Light, don’t be surprised, this is currently the trend among the Black Abyssal Demons."
"Got it, kid? With the Ice Qi Stone, you are her perfect suitor," said Laloyetie, giving his son a push, "By the way, the Ice Qi Stone is very fragile, don’t let it get squashed."
And so, an intense blind dating event began.
The Silver Knight and the Flame Demon girl sat face to face on what used to be a chair but now was charred remains. Thanks to the power of the Ice Qi Stone, the Silver Knight remained unharmed, without turning into a cooked can of meat.
"Hello, I’m Rufus Flameheart," the Flame Demon girl bowed her head. She was a bit shorter than the Silver Knight, who resembled a small giant, and her cheeks were tinged with blush as she peeked out, whether from shyness or the high temperature, it was unclear.
Upholding the chivalry of a knight, the Silver Knight did not make the girl look bad.
"Hello, beautiful girl, I am Ming Dovran," Ming Dovran’s lips curled into a smile, "My friends call me, Dovran Mingo."
"Okay, Ming," she said.
The face of Paladin Ming fell.
"Miss Flameheart, feel free to call me whatever is convenient, it’s just a title, I don’t really mind, even though it sounds quite cheap..."
"But Ming sounds very cute," chuckled Flameheart, her head lowered, accidentally nudging Ming’s breastplate with her horn, "Ah, sorry." Rufus Flameheart quickly apologized and raised her head again.
The girl’s cute reaction couldn’t help but bring a smile to Ming’s face, and that gentle smile quickly calmed the girl’s panic.
"That... Ming, is it really... that is, a Paladin?" Rufus’s crimson eyes seemed to have sparks ignited in them, looking at Ming expectantly.
"The real deal." Ming extended his palm, and a bright sphere of light appeared in his hand.
In Rufus’s eyes, tiny sparks were overshadowed by the brightness of the Holy Light, and she became entranced by the ball of light, unconsciously reaching out her hand and slowly approaching it.
Ming watched the dazed Flame Demon girl, and if one removed the scales and horns that symbolized evil in their religion, Rufus Flameheart seemed like an ordinary girl. Her cute dumbstruck appearance and the innocence in her eyes struck at the Paladin’s faith. The last bit of doubt completely crumbled away.
That slender hand clad in red scales also overlapped with the memory of a girl’s hand he once saved.
Rufus Flameheart’s hand connected with a rough and sturdy palm.
"Ming...?"
The Paladin offered a trademark smile and lifted up the kneeling girl.
"It’s a rare celebration now, Miss Flameheart, may I ask you on a date?"
Being asked out by someone of the opposite sex for the first time, the normally solitary Flame Demon girl had no social experience in such situations and could only stutter in response, clumsily following her inner instincts.
"...Yes."
The date between the Flame Demon and the Paladin began in the City of Wandering.
Although the high temperature of the Flame Demon posed a significant problem, Paladin Ming perfectly played the role of that hand, helping the Flame Demon girl touch everything in the world.
Gradually, their hearts grew closer.
Rufus Flameheart began to relax her timidness, showing the natural enthusiasm of the Demon Race.
"Ming, that’s the food street over there! Let’s go take a look!"
"As you wish, my lady."
The Paladin’s exaggerated seriousness once more made the Flame Demon girl smile, a wave of heat overturning the surrounding flora with her smile, but only the Flame Tequila survived, shooting its flames wildly amidst the girl’s laughter.
The location of the food street was in the central district, with various stalls standing side by side along a complete street. The stark contrast of black and white split the center, and without much thought, it was clear that the darker side contained the chaotic dark area stalls.
Although Ming had a preference for the cuisine of the light side, Flameheart had already walked up to a stall on the dark side and started chatting with the owner.
The stall owner was dressed like a human, probably a puppet creature or a magic puppet.
To withstand the high temperature of a Flame Demon, he certainly wasn’t an ordinary human.
"Ming, come and see this!" Hearing the girl’s call, the Paladin immediately walked over.
The girl held a cookie of unappealing appearance in her hand, its charcoal-like black exterior unaltered even within the realm of the Ice Qi Stone. This meant that the craftsmanship of the shop itself was subpar.
