"Well, continue with your plan. I'm just here to watch," Void said with a smile.

Hm… and harvest the benefits afterward, Void

added as he thought to himself.

Devouring a multiverse was massive. It held the necessary energy for him to advance to Rank 4. He already had enough souls. All he needed was to destroy a multiverse but if he could devour it as well, his improvement would be explosive. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Oh, before I forget… this is the new slave. Welcome, Mark," Void said with a shrug as he pointed behind him.

Seeing this, the other slaves smiled and welcomed him.

Soon, they all began talking, many asking Void about how the angel vs demon war was progressing.

Most likely, Void would take his slaves to war. They needed experience fighting angels.

"I will take my leave," Void said as he stood up.

"Yes, Master," his slaves replied.

Then Void left for a room.

Opening the door, Void's face twisted in pain as he sat on the bed.

"Damn it…" Void cursed as he felt his heartbeat spike violently.

(Host is advised to quickly reach Rank 4. Her curse is slowly consuming the host.)

The system's voice rang out as Void gritted his teeth.

"I know…" Void groaned, his eyes blazing.

He never expected something like this to happen. How could he still be harmed? And this wasn't even a physical injury he could heal, it was something affecting his very existence.

This was new to him.

But also a reminder…

At his level and beyond power wasn't just about strength anymore.

There were other kinds of attacks.

"Oh? What's wrong?"

Suddenly, Void heard a familiar voice and looked up.

Standing by the door was Linkir, arms crossed, staring at him with a grin.

"You… you've been following me?" Void asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Obviously. And I can tell something is wrong with you… especially your power. It's waning. You're getting weaker. What happened? What did you do?" Linkir asked, curiosity gleaming in her eyes.

Hearing this, Void sighed with a weary smile.

"Just a result of the war. You could say I met a being… that showed me a new path to existence," Void chuckled, though his eyes glowed intensely.

"Oh… I see," Linkir said softly as she walked closer.

Her eyes looked down at him, a faint grin tugging at her lips.

"Haha…" Seeing this, Void chuckled.

Still holding his chest, he stood up. Even in his suppressed state, he stood over two meters tall, completely dwarfing her.

"Do you want to attack now? Kill me like you swore you would?" Void asked calmly.

His expression was indifferent.

After living for so long, very little could shake him.

Even Linkir's rebellion… was expected.

After all—

He destroyed her home.

"Tch… how convenient," Linkir rolled her eyes.

"It seems you demons only think about killing," she added, raising her hand.

Her palm pressed against Void's chest, feeling his heartbeat, strong and violent, like a whirlpool.

"What if I want you to fall for me… become obsessed with me… then break you afterwards?" Linkir asked, licking her lips.

For a moment, Void looked at his first disciple.

Memories surfaced

Her first kill.

The moment she turned against her own people.

The moment she changed.

Void chuckled as he lifted her chin.

His face moved closer to hers.

His hot, demonic breath brushed against her face.

Within that breath… was pure killing intent.

A primal, chaotic aura.

It stirred something deep within her.

Something savage.

"...That would be fun," Void said with a wide grin.

"Hehe…" Linkir stepped back and bowed slightly.

"Glad to see you again, Master. Do make sure to fix yourself… or we might break free from your control," she said with a sweet smile.

"Yes… I'll keep that in mind," Void replied.

Click.

The door closed.

Void frowned slightly.

"That angel… her strength… I need to understand it. After I break through, I must capture her," Void muttered as he sat back down.

Blood flowed from his mouth, dripping onto the ground.

"Ssssss—"

The ground corroded instantly, melting through one of the strongest materials in this multi universe.

"Argh…" Void groaned again as his body shrank.

His horns faded.

Clothes formed around him as he returned to his human form.

Void looked at his stats and grinned.

Then he lost consciousness.

Outside the door, Linkir watched silently, her expression darkening.

How could this be?

Was the warfront truly this terrifying?

Even with all of them at Quasi Rank 4… none of them could defeat Void.

(Except perhaps Alayot…)

Yet their seemingly invincible master was injured to this extent.

Linkir waved her hand.

A dome formed around the room.

Now, only she could sense Void inside.

This was to hide him… even from his own slaves.

"How is he?"

Just as Linkir was about to leave, a familiar voice spoke.

She looked up.

Alayot leaned against the wall, watching her calmly.

Linkir frowned.

Even she…

Did not dare confront him.

Among all of Void's slaves...

He was the most mysterious.

And she had seen firsthand…

That his methods were beyond comprehension.

He might kill her without her even realizing it.

Besides, for him to ask, he must have known something about it.

"He has regressed to the peak of Rank 3," Linkir said with a sigh as she watched Alayot's reaction.

But Alayot didn't seem fazed. It was as if he had expected it.

"Linkir… what is happening to Void is more than what we can see," Alayot spoke up, causing Linkir to frown.

What exactly was happening to Void?

"Do you know what is happening to him?" Linkir asked.

For the first time, Alayot showed a wary smile.

"I have an idea. But… it's more of a curse. Not one directly cast by his enemy, but by a higher power. The enemy was merely the medium through which the curse was transferred to him," Alayot paused.

"When he breaks through to Rank 4… that will be the worst period of our lives. We will have to face him."

"His soul and body will be separated… and the hidden, savage, chaotic, and primal instincts of the demon race will awaken within his body."

"His body will go berserk… while his soul will be separated and reincarnated."

Alayot's words dropped like a bomb.

Linkir's face paled in horror.
