Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 392 - 391: Reunion
Very soon, the three marched into the deeper layer of the Dreadborne organization headquarters.
During their walk, they witnessed the intense training the members of the Dreadborne organization went through, battles and spars with each other that mimicked life and death. Training inside black holes, spatial storms, and the likes. Getting injured, shredded, and recovering rapidly.
For Mark, this was a shocking sight. At the very least, he could label them madmen—daring to gamble with their own lives.
Occasionally, shockwaves could be felt as space rippled outward. Of course, for Void and the rest, it was but a breeze. But a Rank 1 being's face would show horror if they witnessed this. Each wave could obliterate a planet. Each wave could destroy stars. Each wave could change the life and death of billions of creatures and here, these waves were merely the byproducts of their training.
Their flesh smashed against each other like neutron stars as space and time were disrupted and distorted.
For Void, it was a moment of observation seeing how far the Dreadborne organization had come. He had to admit, he was impressed.
Of course, they still lacked compared to the demons in the Abyss, but they were close. closer to reaching the brutality of the demon race. For that, he commended them.
For Alayot, it was nothing more than routine.
Even though Void, Alayot, and Mark passed by them, these Rank 1 and Rank 2 beings didn't notice. After all, the three were at a higher evolutionary level. They were higher-dimensional beings, and these Rank 1 and Rank 2 entities couldn't comprehend or interact with them unless permitted. They simply couldn't perceive the terrifying beings walking past them.
The three soon reached deeper into the headquarters, sensing multiple Quasi Rank 4 auras. And just as Void, Alayot, and Mark sensed them, the Quasi Rank 4 beings sensed them as well.
Finally, they arrived at a door. Inside, various Quasi Rank 4 auras lingered.
"They are all here," Alayot said calmly as he opened the doorknob.
Click…
The door opened, revealing a slightly dim room. Inside were various exquisite and magnificent materials.
Each item, to the outside world, would be considered terrifying equipment, priceless materials used to forge divine weapons or create formations capable of guarding ancient families or entire militaries. Yet here, they were used as mere decoration.
In what appeared to be a living room sat a figure cross-legged, watching a movie. Popcorn sat beside him, along with various drinks. He wore dark shades, his bright white hair standing out.
This was Nephem.
Beside him stood a stoic, handsome man. His eyebrows resembled blades, and a faint sword intent of destruction lingered around him, causing space to ripple constantly.
This was the Sword Demon.
A seductive female demon with a charming aura leaned against the wall, this was Junnie. And last but not least was Linkir, her eyes closed as she folded her arms. She seemed to be deep in thought… or perhaps cultivating mentally.
"Your master is back," Alayot said softly.
Everyone including Linkir, who had opened her eyes at some point looked toward the door.
They saw Alayot leading, with a familiar figure behind him Void and lastly, an unknown Quasi Rank 4.
They frowned… but quickly, their expressions turned to surprise.
"Master!"
Suddenly, A figure flash by appearing as a blur as something suddenly clung to void.
Junnie had rushed forward and hugged him tightly, her soft skin brushing against him. Void's face twitched slightly as he gently pulled her away.
"Master," both Nephem and the Sword Demon called out, bowing slightly.
Only Linkir looked at Void with a faint smile.
"It's nice to see you all. But where is Nyx?" Void asked, not sensing her aura anywhere nearby.
You must understand, his perception covered more than one-fourth of this multi universe, yet he couldn't sense Nyx. Either she wasn't here, or she was at the farthest corner of the multi universe. However, Void leaned toward the former, since through the system and slave contract, he could tell she was far away.
"I sent her to the Abyss to handle something," Linkir replied.
Void nodded, not asking further.
With Junnie still clinging to him, Void walked to the sofa and casually sat down.
Nephem and the Sword Demon stood up.
All his slaves stood around him except Linkir, who remained seated.
With just that, the chain of command was clear.
Even though all were slaves of Void, there were ranks with Linkir at the top, almost equal to him.
"So tell me…" Void began as a cup mysteriously appeared, wine swirling within it.
"What happened while I was gone?" he asked with a grin.
Linkir smirked and began to speak.
Void listened with amusement, while Mark listened attentively, being the newest among them. Almost every being in the room emitted pressure. Each controlled a terrifying origin, making his own chaos seem weak.
Was this Void's confidence?
If so, then any one of his slaves could easily dominate their so-called "HANS leader board."
What a joke.
No wonder Void had stopped attending meetings and cut ties with them.
It wasn't arrogance.
They were simply too weak, too insignificant to be of any use to him.
Mark lowered his head as he glanced at the beings in the room.
Finally, Linkir finished speaking.
Void placed his wine cup down.
Click.
"You did well," Void said, praising her.
Linkir nodded slightly.
"But I suppose the real play is about to begin. I can already see it… hahaha. Old beings willing to sacrifice everything for their selfish goals…"
"Standard issues of existence," Void continued. "Those without an immortal lifespan lack the potential to evolve."
He clicked his tongue.
But what could he say?
If he weren't a demon, perhaps he would be like them.
No matter how high one climbs… lifespan always remains a problem.
Even what is called immortality often proves to be a lie.
Everything exists in a cycle.
The multiverse ages.
The omniverse ages.
Even existence itself ages.
It's not that beings don't have infinite lifespans it's that stronger forces periodically erase everything to maintain balance.
Void frowned slightly as he felt his body weaken just a bit.
The curse of that terrifying angel… was acting up again.
Of course, the frown didn't escape anyone's notice.
Most ignored it.
Except Linkir.
Who revealed a faint, knowing smile with her cunning eyes.
