100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat
Chapter 96: Matter of the Worse [2]
"If there was, I’d know."
The chairman had a stern expression looking at Julius. He didn’t know if he was telling a lie, but he definitely knew he wasn’t telling the truth.
"And you can defend yourself? Or is this person George claims, not in your guild?" The chairman asked, demanding answers.
"Yes this person is in my guild but know nothing of him being involved in this matter."
Julius turned his head, facing George. He had a cold expression on his face like looking at George.
However, George was unfazed. At this point, Julius knee that denying it wouldn’t take him far. He needed more words for them to believe him.
And just then, the thought came into his mind, ’This silly man wants to put me in a tight position? I will not let him. I need to think of something fast, something to get out of this situation. Haha... found it. Yes, I will use this one!"
"This is unacceptable!" He crashed out, pointing at George, " You are trying to see me up? Using my own comrade for your ownself emotions! Why don’t come, let’s settle the score rather than using childish tactics. You have a grudge? Then man it up and don’t use other people to lie."
The entire room fell silent at the bust of Julius. The guild masters that were standing, as well as the vice chairman, sat down back on their seats.
They all had a puzzled expression not looking from Julius to George and back, continuously.
Who should they believe?
It is well known that the characteristics guild master, Julius and the Integrity Guild Master, George were not friends.
They always had constant arguments and when one doesn’t agree with the other, it becomes a battle royale.
They fight it with other means rather than their fists of talents since fighting amongst awakeners is forbidden even if they are of high rank. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
The chairman hearing Julius call George for a fight frown, his gaze directed at Julius releasing a light blue color.
The room began to get cold. Not from the ice, but from a place near them, all of them.
Julius, feeling this, stopped his yapping and turned to the chairman. In that moment, he felt a shadowy presence towering over him like a rat overwhelmed by the presence of a dire wolf.
The Chairman was still in his seat, yet it felt like he had stood up and his presence had covered the entire room.
Everyone could feel his overwhelming magical powers, even for S-rank awakeners it was too much to comprehend.
They were barely able to breathe and the A-rank top stage awakeners were almost at their wits end.
While feeling the terrifying and overwhelming presence a voice spoke out, like thunder, every word spoken was like a thousand voices saying the same thing.
"What is it I told you about fighting against another awakener, Julius? And doing it at my front nevertheless, have you lost your mind? Answer me!"
The voice of the chairman was terrifying, even as the question was asked, Julius couldn’t answer because if he did his head might just fly off his neck.
At that moment, the assistant of the chairman wouldn’t hold out any longer as she fell to the ground, her body weak to the point that felt and could no longer be held up.
She coughed a couple of times, trying to speak and call out for the chairman to stop releasing his intense magical aura, but she couldn’t lift her heavy arms.
It wasn’t only her that was being affected by the intense aura. The table and chairs were shaking, the walls also, some paintings that were on it had already fallen down.
The entire room while shaking, and possibly the entire floor of the building could feel the tremble.
This wasn’t nothing compared to what he could actually muster since at this point he wasn’t even using five percent of his power.
At this moment, the A-rank top stage guild masters and the chairman already had their heads on the table, since their bodies were very heavy, they rested there while feeding the intense push of gravity.
However, on the other hand, George, Quincy and Julius cloaked themselves with what it called mana zone.
Mana zone is an advanced magic control technique that allows those who can perceive mana to manipulate the natural mana in the surrounding environment rather than just their own.
This can vastly increase their talents using it and can also be used as a defense mechanism something similar to what Aegon usually uses.
The technique is so advanced that not everyone could use it. However, Raymond who is an A-rank top stage and also the guild master of the mages guild was partially able to use it for a while.
It summoned it for a while but because of the intense force of the. Chairman’s mana aura had quickly used up his mana reserve and fell to the table, his body becoming affected and heavy.
Only the S-rank guild masters are able to overcome the pressure of the chairman.
Since Julius couldn’t speak due to the fact that he was using all his strength to hold his mana zone intact, his anger had already calmed down.
And seeing this, the chairman began reducing his mana aura until it completely dissipated.
The room was calm and everyone felt relief after suffering that much insane mana aura.
George at all the while it was happening had his gaze on Julius, his hands crossed, while looking unfazed by the intense pressure.
However, he too was using all his strength to hold his mana zone for his protection. He has already felt the tense mana of the chairman before and he knew this was only a fragment of what he could actually manifest.
The Chairman, who had now stopped flowing his mana out, removed his gaze from Julius, to the door looking for his assistant.
He called out her name since he wanted to give her instructions, but couldn’t find her standing at the door. "Did she already leave before I started?" he asked, wondering.
While he was speaking, Charlotte moved his eyes to the door, she didn’t see the assistant. Then, she stood up her feet, stretching and on the ground she found her laying cold
"There she is!" Charlotte shouted. She quickly left her seat and rushed to the assistant.
Upon getting there, she dropped to the ground and inspected the assistant’s neck, then shouted.
"Oh no, she’s out cold!"
