"Boss, it’s Stone." After the call connected, Stone’s voice came through the phone.

"Stone, did you find Professor Hu Yang?" Lin Tian asked directly, not in the mood for pleasantries. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Of course, Professor Hu is right next to me, you can speak with him." Stone reported the news Lin Tian most wanted to hear.

The Ghost Team is no less skilled in reconnaissance than the Thunder Wolf Team. Once they lock onto a location, finding someone is not too difficult for the Ghost Team.

Just after Stone finished speaking, another male voice came through the phone: "I heard you were looking for me, what’s the matter? I’m busy, please be brief."

"I’m Lin Tian from the Jinghua University Science and Technology Institute. Recently, ancient bugs and viruses have been unearthed at the school’s construction site, and several people have been hospitalized due to infection. Professor Hu, being an expert in ancient biology, we hope you can come check it out." Lin Tian summarized the situation quickly and clearly.

Professor Hu is known for having a quirky personality; if you talk too much, he might just hang up.

But Lin Tian still underestimated the professor’s temperament as Professor Hu tossed a blunt response: "The school found ancient viruses? Are you joking, student? You’re wasting my time!"

Professor Hu Yang indeed didn’t believe it, and of course, who would believe such a thing coming from a student?

"Please don’t hang up. Professor Hu, you can ask Professor He Jianhua. It won’t take more than a few minutes." Lin Tian quickly said to prevent Hu Yang from hanging up, which would mean wasting more time.

"Old He?" Professor Hu indeed sounded puzzled, then the call ended abruptly. Lin Tian knew he went to confirm with He Jianhua, but hanging up without a word was typical of his eccentric temperament.

Within a few minutes, the phone rang again, and it was Stone’s voice: "Boss, the professor is packing his things."

"It seems Professor He has explained it to him. Stone, arrange for a helicopter to send Professor Hu directly to Jinghua City. If he takes a car, who knows when he’ll arrive." Lin Tian instructed.

"Alright, I’ll take care of it right away." Stone was swift and efficient in his actions.

After hanging up, Lin Tian thought for a moment and decided to go back to the dormitory. Professor Hu would arrive tonight, and if things got busy, the little girl would have to wait for him for dinner again.

"Lin Tian, class is over. Did you hear any news from Professor Hu’s side?" Xiao Manxuan asked with concern from the kitchen.

"Yes, I’ve already asked Stone to find a helicopter to bring Professor Hu back. He’ll arrive tonight, and given his temperament, he’ll probably head straight to the lab as soon as he lands." Lin Tian confirmed.

"I hope Professors He and Hu can develop a special medicine; otherwise, Qiao Xiaoyi..." Xiao Manxuan didn’t continue because the possible outcome was too harsh.

Lin Tian gave her a reassuring smile and said, "Don’t worry, even if there’s no progress here, Luoxi is going to seek the Zhang Family. Being a Demon Exorcism Family, they’ll likely have a solution. Moreover, Xiaoyi is a good person; King Yan won’t want to take him."

He was right about the first half, but even he didn’t quite believe the second half. Xiao Manxuan was such a kind person, and yet when the Netherworld says it takes souls, it doesn’t hesitate. If it weren’t for him and Zhang Lingyu storming the Netherworld, Xiao Manxuan might not have survived.

Upon hearing Lin Tian’s response, Xiao Manxuan felt slightly better. She had watched her relatives leave when she was a child, and she couldn’t bear to see those around her pass away.

After dinner, around nine in the evening, Stone sent a message: "Boss, Professor Hu has reached Jinghua City and will arrive at Jinghua University within twenty minutes."

Just after reading that message, the phone rang with another unfamiliar number.

"Lin Tian, I’m He Jianhua. Old Hu is heading to the school; let’s meet at the lab." The voice on the phone was He Jianhua’s, clearly informed by Hu Yang.

During crucial research, professors often eat and sleep in the lab, so heading to the lab late at night was expected by Lin Tian.

"Alright, Professor He, I’ll be there soon." Lin Tian agreed straightforwardly and hung up. Turning to Xiao Manxuan, he said, "Xuanxuan, I’m heading to the lab. Go to bed early; no need to wait for me."

"I wish I had finished my medical studies; I could help you guys. Alright, I won’t add to the chaos and will be good at home." Xiao Manxuan understood the gravity of the situation and didn’t insist on coming along, knowing she wouldn’t be of help.

Despite seeming spoiled, the little girl was very sensible during critical times. Lin Tian gently brushed her bangs aside, gave a small smile, and headed out the door.

The Life Sciences Laboratory was right in front of the Science and Technology Institute building, and Lin Tian knew the way well. He didn’t rush, taking ten minutes to arrive outside the lab.

From afar, he saw a figure pacing under the streetlight, appearing anxious.

"Professor He, no need to worry; they’ll arrive soon." Lin Tian naturally recognized the pacing figure and offered some reassurance.

"I wish I could not worry, but lives are at stake..." Professor He turned and saw Lin Tian, letting out a heavy sigh.

Just as Professor He finished speaking, two figures hurriedly approached from outside. With good eyesight, Lin Tian instantly recognized them as Professor Hu and Stone.

"Old He, I’ve been away for a few days, and such significant things have happened at the school?" Professor Hu said from afar.

Lin Tian saw clearly that the professor was still covered in dust, and even his shoes were muddy. Apparently, he had rushed back from the ancient tomb without even changing his clothes.

"You’ve been gone for more than half a month, not just a few days. There’s a lot to say; let’s discuss inside the lab." He Jianhua sighed.

"Wait just a moment." Hu Yang waved his hand and turned to Stone: "Young man, thank you, you’ve been a great help."

Stone chuckled and pointed to Lin Tian: "This was arranged by our boss; we aim to complete tasks perfectly."

The two professors were slightly surprised, not expecting Lin Tian to have the capability to summon a helicopter so casually.

"Boss, the helicopter is still waiting. I’ll head back." Stone reported.

"Alright, thanks for your hard work. Send my regards to the guys." Lin Tian nodded.

Once Stone left, Hu Yang turned his gaze to Lin Tian: "You must be Lin Tian. On the flight here, Old He mentioned you quite a bit. Truly impressive for someone your age."

"Old Hu, it’s rare for you to praise a young person like this." He Jianhua looked genuinely surprised.

"What expression is that? Like I’m always wearing a sour face." Hu Yang replied disdainfully. He Jianhua, knowing his temperament, merely shook his head silently.

Lin Tian didn’t mind the friendly bickering between the two middle-aged friends and casually asked, "Professor Hu, did you find anything in the ancient tomb in Xikou City?"

Though he seemed relaxed, he was actually very concerned. After all, the tomb was where the female zombie Qingyao was sealed, the Zombie Ancestor that changed his life forever.
