"Let’s go, we’re heading to the command room."

Zhang Xiaoman walked out of the ship captain’s room, already aware of what Ziwei had mentioned.

As the ship captain of the Hail, how could he possibly be unaware of the ship’s movements? The onboard intelligent system had already reported the current situation to him in advance.

Now, the Hail has completed its wormhole traversal and arrived at the other side of the space.

The location is determined based on the coordinates recorded in the observer’s log, and judging by the spatial coordinate names, this star system should be called Phantom Spirit Star, which is the home planet of the Phantom Spirit Clan.

"Everyone, be cautious. We have reached the target area and may encounter unknown risks. The ship’s shield is operating at 29% power, deploy drones for reconnaissance, and stay alert at all times!"

In the command room, Li Xiang and a group of astronauts were tensely focused on the virtual projection ahead.

The layout here is similar to that of the Dawn, if it wasn’t for knowing in advance that they’re on the Hail, one would surely think they’re flying on the Dawn right now.

"Have the probes been sent out? Scan the spatial region information as thoroughly as possible, aim to find out all the abnormal signal points in this information packet to prevent ambush..."

Li Xiang and the others were experiencing their first hands-on operation of the high-tech ship from the Dark Star Alliance. Though a bit tense, their strong professional skills kept them from being flustered.

Their operations, though still somewhat clumsy, seemed legitimate enough, since the Hail’s driving system could adapt to personal operating habits. So even though this ship is a type of high-tech vessel never seen before on Water Blue Star, for Li Xiang and his team, the operation wasn’t all that different from controlling the Dawn.

"How is it? Have you found anything?"

Zhang Xiaoman approached the group and inquired about the current status.

"Star Lord!"

Li Xiang greeted the newcomer with a bow before reporting:

"We have passed through the spatial wormhole and are currently inside this star system numbered 803976. As of now, no abnormal signal points have been detected, nor have any special energy fluctuations been found. The nearest constant star is 4.2 billion kilometers away, it is stable without any signs of a burst..."

Overall, the situation in Phantom Spirit Star seemed less terrifying than imagined. Their spacecraft had entered this star system about 10 minutes ago, yet the anticipated danger had not arrived as expected, and it appeared to be an ordinary tranquil star system. The constant star emitted gentle warmth, everything seemed peaceful and harmonious.

Of course, with some cosmic travel experience, Zhang Xiaoman knew one mustn’t look only at the surface. Especially in such seemingly calm conditions, unknown dangers might be lurking behind the facade, so caution upon caution was needed.

Zhang Xiaoman didn’t act rashly and let the Hail’s probe continue to investigate, first confirming the specific situation within this star system to see if any survivors could be found.

Quickly, after a period of investigation, according to the intelligence sent back by the probe, no anomalies were found nearby, except unexpected circumstances arose as the last probe was about to be retrieved.

"Commander, the 29th probe we’ve sent out has been lost! The lost coordinates are 3901.7034.8671! A planet was detected nearby! Please issue instructions!"

The sudden news drew everyone’s attention.

Zhang Xiaoman walked over, looking at the projected interface, where a computer-generated planet model existed, approximately 2 billion kilometers away from the team.

"Here we go, there’s indeed a problem with this star system. The fact that they were able to silently destroy our probe means the opponent at least has control or corresponding Dark Spirit Technology."

Zhang Xiaoman knew the target he was searching for had finally appeared.

As he speculated, the Phantom Spirit Clan is likely encountering an invasion by Alien Species.

If this is indeed the case, he had no plans to intervene directly, although they hadn’t had interactions with the Phantom Spirit Clan, the enemy of an enemy is a friend. There’s a foundation for cooperation, thus communication attempts are necessary.

Moreover, if the invader really is an Alien Species from the Second Universe, Zhang Xiaoman could earn a lot of points after defeating them, quickly advancing his strength, so an investigation is absolutely necessary.

In the past, Zhang Xiaoman might not have revealed himself easily, let alone considered cooperation to combat Alien Species.
