Chapter 120: Two Lucky Draws [75 PS Bonus Chapter (2)]

Leon’s expression was gloomy as he looked at the shovel in his hands. As expected, gambling was not his thing. How could he be so unlucky?

Clicking his tongue, his eyes ignited with a fierce light. First, he decided to take control over the artifact.

[Do you accept?]

"Yes."

Instantly, a bright light shone from the wheel and shot into his body. Leon expected a flash of pain, but felt nothing. So, he prepared to touch the surface of the wheel and read its description again.

Thyra immediately stopped him and said, "You don’t need to do that. Since it’s bound to you now, you can check its status like your own."

’Oh?’

Leon was intrigued, then did as she instructed. To his surprise, the status window appeared before him.

[Bronze Equipment Star Wheel]

["Fortune favors only those worthy of destiny."]

[Owner: Unranked Evolved Human Leonel Wayne]

[Limited Draws: 99/100]

[Description: A gambling wheel created by the Star Stream to grant a chance at obtaining a powerful legendary weapon with insane abilities, or... a piece of crap]

Seeing his name now in the owner status, he felt relieved. This meant his operations were going to become smoother without having to fear for others using it behind his back.

He let his gaze brush over the description again, then handed the golden shovel to Richard.

Feeling the need to fold his sleeves, he glanced at the vambraces of his armor and shook his head. There was no way he could fold them.

Surrounded by an air of seriousness, even to the extent that it surprised Thyra and Richard, Leon reached into his waist pouch and pulled out another soul crystal.

Looking at the yellow glow and the smooth texture in his hand, his heart slowed slightly. Then, without hesitation, he shoved it inside.

The wheel spun rapidly again, but this time, Leon didn’t even move an inch. His unblinking eyes locked firmly on the indicator, and he waited until the wheel’s speed slowed to a crawl.

Click!

Finally, it stopped, and Leon’s heart tightened as a message appeared before him.

[Congratulations! You have received a Tier One Rose Storage Ring!]

’Storage ring?’

Leon blinked in surprise, then suddenly his eyes widened. A storage ring! Wasn’t that something he’d always envied from Thyra?!

Holding the red ring in his hand, he brought up the description with an excited smile.

[Rose Storage Ring]

[Rank: Tier One]

[Enchantment: Can store items]

[Durability: 50/50]

[Description: A basic spatial storage ring containing 27 cubic meters of space. It can store only non-living objects, while time remains completely frozen inside, preventing stored items from aging, decaying, or changing in any way]

Reading through, Leon shivered from excitement. A space of twenty-seven cubic meters might seem small, but it actually wasn’t small at all. Considering the number of items that could be stored, Leon only felt his grin widen.

"Hm? Looks like you got something good~"

Hearing Thyra’s amused voice, Leon responded with a chuckle. He put on the ring and immediately felt a connection with it.

He turned to Richard and collected the shovel, then sent it into the storage ring with a single thought.

"Wow! Boss, where did it disappear to?" Richard stood stunned, staring at Leon’s empty hands that had been holding the shovel a few seconds ago.

Smiling mysteriously, Leon didn’t answer. Instead, he turned back to the wheel, an internal struggle in his heart. He was contemplating another draw, but felt apprehensive at the thought of receiving another useless Tier One equipment.

’Maybe a Tier One Divine Broom or something.’

His hands rested on his waist pouch, but couldn’t move further. His mind rapidly worked on countless possibilities of the future.

’At this point, I’m strong enough to take down a Tier One beast by myself. However, the problem is finding them. If I can find a Tier One beast, then I can naturally harvest its soul crystal.’

His gaze shifted slightly, looking into the horizon.

’If my guess is right, Brooklyn has quite a number of mutated beasts. I guess I should be more proactive in hunting soon.’

Having that thought in mind, Leon finally moved. He stuck his hand into the pouch and pulled out another soul crystal.

Its amber light gleamed beneath the morning sun, and without hesitation, Leon let the wheel swallow it whole.

Another spin started immediately, then ended in less than thirty seconds.

Click!

[Congratulations! You have received a Tier One Lifeform Detector!]

Seeing the palm-sized device in his hand, Leon paused slightly, then checked its description.

[Lifeform Detector]

[Rank: Tier One]

[Enchantment: Can detect living creatures in a 500 meter radius around the device, while listing out their possible affinities and evolution level]

[Durability: 30/30]

[Description: A powerful detection device created by an expert Craftsman]

Looking at the simple enchantment, Leon couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

’Such a powerful equipment!’

To be able to detect living creatures in a 500 meter radius was impressive, yet that was not all. It could also detect the evolution level and the affinity of the said creature.

It was simply too impressive.

Now, Leon no longer felt heartbroken when he thought about his first draw. These two rewards were more than enough compensation.

Reining in the urge to use his last soul crystal, he whispered to Thyra.

"Can this thing be moved?"

Richard’s ears twitched at the whisper, but thinking that Leon was simply talking to himself, he remained silent.

Meanwhile, Thyra’s eyes glinted as she answered him.

"It can’t be moved from its original location. However, you don’t have to worry. Since you’re now the owner, nobody can use it other than you."

Hearing this, Leon was relieved and slipped the Lifeform Detector into his waist pouch. Then, he turned around and looked at Richard.

"Your tamed beasts will grow faster the more they eat, right?"

The brown-haired guy immediately nodded and explained, "The stronger the beasts they eat, the more energy and mana they receive. And that’s exactly what fuels their growth."

Leon’s eyes glinted, and a plan began to form in his mind.

"Heh, your beasts are lucky today. We’re going for an all-you-can-eat buffet."
