They all reached the facility without any trouble. There was a guard who stopped them before they entered. His armor was a polished, dark steel that had an intricate circular pattern on it.

"Have you all enrolled in this education facility?"

Slimo handed the guard the paperwork. After skimming through it, the guard nodded and let them all through. Lidia and Slimo stood back as everyone else surged forward to find their classroom.

"Good luck, everyone! We will see you all back at home!"

Lidia started crying and shoved her face into Slimo’s chest.

"They grow up so fast."

"They will be fine. Let’s go to the palace and see what they need help with."

Jacob, Maria, Luna, and Gabriel were leading everyone down the hall. Red carpet covered the floor as they walked. There were dozens of doors on each side that all led to different classrooms. They could hear teachers talking to students in each one. At the end of the hall, there was one teacher who was seemingly waiting for them. It was a lovely woman wearing a royal blue dress fitted with long white sleeves. She had small blue shoes to match her dress and a strange blue cloth that wrapped around her neck. Her dark black hair was in a ponytail, and her nails were the same color as her dress. She bowed to Jacob who was the first to approach.

"I assume you are the newcomers?"

"Yup. That’s us."

"Well, please take a seat anywhere you would like in the class here."

Jacob walked in the classroom. It was much larger than he would have expected. The seats had a small desk attached to each of them. Jacb decided to sit in the very front row so he could pay attention easier. More and more people filed in, trying to decide where to sit down. Maria sat to his right and Gabriel sat to his left. Once everyone was seated, the beautiful teacher closed the door and walked up to a chalk board and wrote her name.

"Good evening, everyone. My name is Professor Jenna. You can call me Professor or Miss Jenna if you wish. Since today is going to be the first day of class, I will be having all of you going around doing ice breakers with one another! Just so I can get to know you all better."

Luna smiled.

"Ice breaking? I’m something of an expert with stuff like that. Watch this."

Luna froze her desk under her palm and broke it with her elbow. Most of the people around her clapped, Jenna stared at the desk distraught.

"Please do not break school property. That was only meant to be an expression for saying something about yourself to me."

Luna looked around embarrassingly.

"Oh. You should have just told us that."

Jenna sighed heavily.

"Okay. Let’s just go around the room and I will have each of you stand up, say your name, your favorite color, and something unique about yourself! Understand?"

No one objected.

"Got it. Let’s start with this beautiful lady at the front here and go from there."

Maria seemed a bit startled to be called on first but stood up nonetheless to answer the questions.

"I’m Maria, my favorite color is yellow, and my parents were murdered in front of me!"

Jenna’s jaw dropped to the ground, but everyone around Maria started clapping like that was a normal response.

"I’m... so sorry to hear that, Maria. It is nice to meet you though!"

"Don’t be sorry, they hated my existence since I was born anyway."

Jenna started growing paler the more Maria talked.

"Let’s just go to the next person."

Jacob stood up.

"I’m Jacob, my favorite color is green, and I helped kill my father to overthrow my old kingdom because of his corruption."

Everyone around him started clapping again. Jacob whispered over to Maria.

"Did I do it right?"

Maria smiled back.

"I think so."

Jenna simply dropped her clipboard that she picked up to take attendance. She whispered to herself softly.

"I don’t get paid enough for this job."

"Hi, I’m Gabriel, my favorite color is blue, and I can grow big or small."

’Finally, a normal one... I guess?’

"Hi, I’m William, my favorite color is also blue, and half of my friends are dead."

Everyone started clapping as he sat back down.

’... I spoke too soon.’

"I’m Bart, my favorite color is beige, and I can whistle."

"I’m Lucy, my favorite color is grey, and I like crafting things."

"I’m Abby, my favorite color is pink, and Harold is my boyfriend!"

"I’m Harold, my favorite color is also pink because it reminds me of Abby, and I have to use the restroom."

Jenna looked at him confused.

"You can use the restroom if you would like."

"No thank you. I just thought that I was unique for needing to right now. It seems like I am."

Jenna’s eye twitched.

’Is this going to be impossible to teach them?’

"My name’s Luna, my favorite color is white, and I can freeze things."

"My name is Sydney, black is my favorite color, and I’m super hard."

Jenna studied Sydney trying to understand what exactly she meant by ’hard’ but decided to throw her thoughts out of her head.

"Um... okay...? Who’s next?"

Lee stood up.

"Lee, indigo, I like stars."

"I’m steel, my favorite color is whichever is the sharpest, and I like cutting things. Especially people!!"

"Bo, my favorite color is green, and I’ve witnessed great horrors that I’m not allowed to share."

Zoey stood up in her chair and put her heel on the table.

"I’m Zoey! My favorite color is flaming hot red, and I love getting heated and hot! HAHA!"

"I’m Serena, my favorite color is pink, and I like flowers."

By the end of everyone’s diverse introductions, Jenna seemed to be utterly exhausted. She slouched over her desk and sighed deeply.

"How much do you all know about everything already? What do I need to teach you?

Steel raised his hand.

"Yes, Steel."

"We know that the world has condiments and we can slice them if we’re big enough!"

"Yah, and we also know that there are monsters living everywhere and how powerful they can get."

Lee looked at Steel.

"Condiments? No, Steel. Slimo said they were called contemplations. Gosh, you need to start listening more."

Jenna interrupted them all before the arguing continued.

"What are you all talking about? You aren’t making sense."

"The big plots of land we live on! The three contemplations of the world!"

Jenna slapped herself in the face.

"Continents..."

Steel rubbed his chin.

"No, that doesn’t sound right either. I don’t think I can cut something that sounds like that."

Jenna cleared her desk and messed up her hair.

"Okay, how about this: we are all going to start from square one again! Just so I make sure we aren’t leaving anyone behind!"

Everyone looked at each other sorrowfully. Zoey was the first to speak up.

"Does that mean we need to stay in school longer?"

"Yes. Much longer."

Zoey slouched over her desk and sighed heavily.

"Now, everyone pay attention. I am not going to repeat myself."
