Even within the same dungeon, the monsters in different areas have different strengths. They could take on two or three Doll Soldiers solo in Lake Lienia, but struggled to defeat even one in Galide.

Does that mean Galide’s demands on the adventurer’s abilities far exceed their level?

Just as the Venerable Rot Knight was about to attack the Sword Shield Warrior, the adventurer captain, covered in blood-red swamp water, jumped out and grabbed the Venerable Rot Knight from behind, shouting, "I’ll hold him off, you all run!"

"Captain? We can’t leave you behind!"

"I’ve been poisoned too deep, can’t survive this. You run first, I will catch up!"

The adventurer captain, too deeply poisoned, didn’t have the strength for a sneak attack and could only use the most basic delay tactic of grappling, but the Venerable Rot Knight was very strong. He was about to break free in an instant.

Suddenly, Tepi shouted, "Very brave, I’ll increase your reward!"

The adventurer captain exploded with all his potential, clamping onto the Venerable Rot Knight like a vise!

With the precious time he gained, Tepi and the others hurried away with the wounded.

Luckily, the Detoxification Potion they carried worked on the Sword Shield Warrior, the assassin’s injuries stabilized with the Holy Grail Bottle, and the magician regained the ability to walk.

The bad news was that not long after they left, the Venerable Rot Knight caught up again!

"Acceleration!"

Tepi’s group burst into explosive speed in a life-and-death race, engaging in a chase with the Venerable Rot Knight.

They were already far from the swamp’s range, and the air was free of blood-red mist, making their vision suddenly clearer.

But what really cheered them up was the sight of the remnants of roads built by humans along their path.

Artificial structures somewhat signified life, much better than the deathly eerie swamp.

Furthermore, there was a peculiar structure.

It was a winding and long Fire Wall, constantly burning, emanating an astonishing temperature when approached.

This thing was so short that people could jump over it. It didn’t seem useful in battle... so what’s the point?

People didn’t understand much, but just then, a Crossbow Arrow shot out from nowhere and hit Tepi’s shoulder.

"It’s the enemy!"

A group of heavily armed Latan Soldiers suddenly appeared. They resembled the Grick Soldiers but had slightly different armor decorations, and were certainly stronger.

"Just a few soldiers, let’s take them down—"

Before the adventurer could finish, a Knight, more outstanding in both equipment and aura, stood up amidst the soldiers. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

[Red Lion Knight]!

"I take it back!"

Realizing the strength of the Red Lion Knight, the adventurers turned and fled.

"Buzz—"

The Red Lion Knight drew a Big Bow, with purple Gravity Magic condensing on the arrow, making the adventurers tremble with fear. The strength was terrifying, and if hit, their bodies might shatter in half!

"Twang!"

The bowstring sang, and the arrow shot out. The adventurers were so tense they almost closed their eyes.

However, the arrow didn’t hit them.

"Huh?"

Tepi looked back and saw an unexpected scene before him.

The Red Lion Knight’s arrow had actually targeted the pursuing Venerable Rot Knight, blasting his shoulder armor with one shot!

The Venerable Rot Knight, as if the adventurers didn’t exist, focused on the Red Lion Knight, throwing three rings of light at him. Meanwhile, the Red Lion Knight discarded the Big Bow, pulling out a heavy Great Sword and Shield, blocking all the rings. He then threw down the shield, held the Great Sword with both hands, jumped up, and spinning in midair, he unleashed a...

Lion Slash!

The effect of the Lion Slash was unseen by the adventurers because the Latan Soldiers had already charged in, starting an attack, forcing them to desperately fend them off.

"What’s going on, why are those two fighting each other?" someone asked in confusion while fighting.

"No idea, but it’s a good thing!" someone shouted, "We can take this chance to escape!"

They didn’t want to fight either the Venerable Rot Knight or the Red Lion Knight, so the magician unleashed magic at full power, binding the Latan Soldiers in place, and everyone quickly made their escape.

"Haha, this is the feeling of escaping from hell!" an adventurer laughed wildly.

"Woof woof!"

Did they just hear a dog barking from somewhere?

"Ahhhh!"

Suddenly, an adventurer screamed miserably. Turning to look, he was caught by a Giant Beast that had darted out from the roadside and was being swung around in its mouth, while the sound of his cries attracted more of the same kind of monster.

It was a giant dog as big as a tyrannosaurus!

Not only was it huge, but its front paws were somewhat atrophied, looking like a real tyrannosaur. Yet, matched with its grim head, it emanated a sense of horror.

A Heavy Armor Warrior struck a Heavy Slash on the giant dog’s head, but it merely howled, hardly shook, and headbutted the Heavy Armor Warrior, sending him sprawling.

The beasts in Sain Dungeon were all said to be dung by adventurers, and this giant dog was clearly dung too!

The barking was incessant, with at least three or four giant dogs drawn in by the adventurer’s cries. These things were unbeatable!

At that moment, Tepi fervently wished he had a steed to escape from danger... Why hadn’t he left with Uffie back then? He would have had Torret!

"Run back!"

He quickly shouted, recalling that they had just seen building ruins by the roadside, which could be used to entangle with the giant dogs, rather than getting bitten on open ground.

But as they ran back, they realized the Latan Soldiers had also chased after them. Strangely, they seemed more invigorated, even letting out Battle Cries.

With no time to tangle with the soldiers, the magician quickly cast Protective Shields on everyone, intending to burst through the attacks.

Chased by a pack of giant dogs, the adventurers charged towards the soldiers.

Closer and closer, they were about to collide!

Each had resolute eyes as they crashed into the Latan Soldiers!

Then the soldiers moved aside to avoid the collision, seemingly ignoring the adventurers, passed them directly, and started fighting the giant dogs that followed.

The adventurers fell to the ground, hurriedly got up, and saw the Latan Soldiers fighting the giant dogs. For a moment, their expressions could only be described as bewildered.

On the other side, the fierce battle between the Venerable Rot Knight and the Red Lion Knight continued, with not many special effects but a powerful and intimidating display of movement.

Everyone had found opponents of equal strength, engaged in a fierce battle.

Yet, the adventurers suddenly seemed like unwanted stinky eggs, lying on the roadside, ignored by all.

"What should we do now?" an adventurer asked, tilting his head in confusion.

Tepi blinked, lacking his usual calm, perplexed by the bizarre situation.

Generally, except for the Gollum and Soul-sucking Ghost of Fran Fort, other monsters usually teamed up to fight adventurers hand-in-hand. Glade was an exception.

"Should we just..." Tepi’s mouth twitched slightly, saying:
