Well, I trust my girls and I’m pretty sure they weren’t meeting them to have sex with them so I wasn’t too worried about it.

Though part of the reason why I wasn’t worried was because I was busy eating sweets that Katsuki had suddenly brought out for me so I was stuck in the room that was given to me the entire time eating those sweets and fluffing Katsuki’s tail.

Anyway, we were returning back to Nomed Metropolis today since we have already achieved our goals here.

We had even confirmed with the demons that the barrier surrounding the town will not expand unless they actively try to expand it.

Unfortunately, they were unable to control the Abhorrents since they were only bending part of the tree’s effects for their own use and it wasn’t like they had full control over the Tree of Death itself.

The best they could do was to subtly direct the tree’s influence to fit what they need, like making the Abhorrents stay away from the tree by a certain distance and also what the tree will not transform into Abhorrents.

With all the demonesses seeing us off, I waved back at them before we set off back towards the city.

Along the way, Lilith dealt with the Abhorrents we came across just like before and I decided to ask the question that had been on my mind since last night.

"What were you girls talking to those demons about?" I asked.

Emilia popped up beside me with an excited look on her face, "Ohhh!! Do you want to know, Boss? I can tell you all about it!!"

I nodded at her to go ahead.

She rubbed her palms together, "Nyahahaha~ It was a very profitable business agreement. Boss! Right now, we’re the sole company that will be running any trade routes between Nomed Metropolis and Aster City!"

"Change the name," I told her immediately.

"Nyaaa?! But we spent so long yesterday discussing this and the demons agreed to it too!!"

I should have known they were meeting to discuss something as silly as this... I should have just barged in last night after all...

"Change it," I repeated, sticking my tongue out. "This is embarrassing..."

"Noooo! It’s to honour you, Boss!! It’s cool!! This would allow everyone to know that the place belongs to you!"

"I don’t need people to know that place belongs to me... Actually, that place doesn’t belong to me, it belongs to the demons... So why don’t we just name it Demon Metropolis or something?"

"Nooooo!! That’s really bad for business, Boss!! Who would ever want to do business with a city named ’Demon Metropolis’?! Just think about it, Boss! Your name is already being spread through your books! It would definitely be easier to do business with your name on the city instead!"

"And it might also attract people to go to the city itself and end up getting turned into an Abhorrent. Rejected. Change it."

She raised a finger proudly, "It’s alright!! The demons also intend to change the city in the future to allow outsiders! We will eventually expand beyond the boundary and clear up the Abhorrents and only use them as a defense mechanism! They have already begun researching into gaining full control over the Abhorrents to make that happen! I... Didn’t even know they had such an ambitious plan for their settlement... I thought they were going to just make it that their town remains as just a small, unassuming town under the Tree of Death... Not a sprawling city rivaling Nomed Metropolis...

I guess they’re just taking into account one of the possible futures for their city and wanted to prepare for it.

But this was still something I wasn’t budging on.

Can you imagine, if I were to just walk around and tell people my name and they start asking ’Hey? Are you named after that city under the Tree of Death?’?! That would be so embarrassing!

"Change it," I repeated again. "Just name it something without my name or something..."

"Mnnggh... If Boss says so... But well, as I was saying... We have secured an exclusive trade contract to establish a trade route between the two cities!! Eventually, I intend to expand the network and since we can make use of the tree’s influence to decide who can enter and leave the city, we would have a monopoly on this trade route for the foreseeable future!"

Oh right... That barrier around the settlement would mean that ordinary merchants won’t be able to get close to the city at all and only people whom the demons have attuned to it will be allowed through.

So... If we were to get strands of hair or spit to the demons and let them attune the owners to the tree, those people will also be able to access the settlement too. That means we are the ones who decide who gets access to the city.

Hmm... We could make money out of that too, can’t we?

No, no, no... The whole point of the town was to create a place where the demons could live in peace. If others found out about the fact that there’s a demon settlement there, they might get hunted and persecuted again.

I believe Emilia and the people who work under her only care about making money so they would work with demons too if it meant turning a profit so there was no need to worry about that.

But there was one thing I thought I should ask...

"Are you sure this is alright, Lilith?" I asked the mayor of Nomed Metropolis.

She gave me a thumbs up, "There’s no problem, Lady Aster!! This is also beneficial for our city as well since we would also be able to trade in goods that are exclusively produced by the demons!"

I tilted my head, "Goods produced by the demons? Hmm... I mean... I saw that they doing some rudimentary farming but they don’t seem to be making anything special?"

Lisa giggled, "Ehehehe~ Mistress. Many things from demons can be used as alchemical ingredients. And because normally demons are rare to come by, their parts are quite expensive."

"Wait, wait, wait... You’re not suggesting of making them maim themselves just to make Creas, right?!"

Ahem... Well, since Lilith herself has assured me that it would be ok and her people could handle it, then there’s nothing else for me to worry about~

All I have to do now is let them handle the rest and then wait to see if that other group that had perpetrated this entire Demon Lord summoning thing reveal themselves again and we can go hunt them down and deal with them~

Worst comes to worst... I can just ask Mother for help again but I would rather avoid doing that if I could.

I turned back to Lilith, "Why are you speaking as if you are going to leave everything to your subordinates and you’re not going to be helping them at all?"

"Eh? Oh... I umm... I guess I forgot to mention this but..."

She suddenly turned back to face me with a serious look on her face.

She then gave me a perfect ninety degree bow with her hand outstretched towards me, "Please allow me to be your slave, Mistress! I want to follow you for the rest of my life!!"
