A Rat Giant roared and approached at the summons of the Skaven, but immediately, to the incredulous eyes of all the Skaven, the Rat Giant was smashed in the face by Laine with his Mjolnir, spinning away with all its seams tearing apart, spewing a large amount of black blood. Laine reached out and crushed the neck of the Rat Giant, throwing the entire Rat Giant away, collapsing a nearby dimensional lightning cannon.

The remaining Skaven retreated in a frenzy, then collapsed and fled for their lives.

"Oh dear~ Humans, powerful, powerful!"

Laine continued to approach the location of another dimensional lightning cannon a little further away.

The Ratman Engineer forcefully commanded his subordinates with the dimensional stone machine guns: "Fire! Fire, you idiots! Fire!!!"

The dimensional stone revolving machine gun activated, and five Ratman gunners fired together at Laine.

The Skaven's dimensional stone technology was very peculiar; among all factions in the Old World, the Skaven's technology was even far ahead of the Dwarfs on the World's Roof Mountain Range. Their technology had evolved to the level of dimensional stone machine guns, dimensional stone lightning cannons, and dimensional stone telephones.

However, just like the Chaos Dwarfs on the other side of the World's Roof Mountain Range, the Skaven's technology wasn't truly superior to the Dwarfs. Their high-tech devices, like those of the Chaos Dwarfs, had similar flaws, as the essence of their energy source was still magic. The Skaven's technology was entirely dependent on the chaos energy from dimensional stones to operate, much like how much of the Chaos Dwarfs' technology required capturing chaos demons and harnessing chaos energy.

This differed from the Dwarfs' steam-powered technology.

"Thunk~ thunk~ thunk~" Five Skaven gunners unleashed a barrage of bullets at Laine, with a green dimensional stone barrage covering the entire battlefield, killing all the Skaven in its path.

"Ding~" Laine frowned, the dense barrage obscuring his vision, the bullets made of dimensional stone energy striking his armor, ringing constantly.

The light of spiritual power, in a pale blue hue, gathered in Laine's blue eyes, and he abruptly sidestepped, raising his right hand.

"Spiritual Stasis Barrier!"

A thin pale blue film spread out from the Lake Fairy Chosen Champion. The barrage generated by the dimensional stone machine gun slanted towards Laine, but all the bullets froze upon entering the barrier.

"Fire! Fire!" The Ratman Engineer stomped in fury, signaling slyly to his subordinates.

"Thunk~ thunk~ thunk~" The Ratman gunners fired wildly, hitting Laine but inadvertently massacring numerous Slave Rats and Clan Rats within their firing lines.

Laine's expression remained cold as he steadily maintained control over the dense green barrage.

Soon, the machine gun overheated, forcing the gunners to cease fire.

Laine's opportunity arose!

"Go!" Laine's right hand thrust forward, sending the swath of green dimensional stone barrage sweeping towards the Ratman lines!

Five Ratman gunners, along with hundreds of Skaven, were instantly swallowed by the barrage. Laine's counterattack turned them into sieves, and the dimensional stone backpacks on their backs exploded, creating several large craters in the Ratman's positions.

Laine raised his warhammer, ready to advance again. By now, no Skaven dared to confront him head-on.

"You bastards! Charge, I say, charge!" The Skaven Engineer operating the dimensional lightning cannon shouted furiously at the Storm Rats and Clan Rats around him.

The ratmen responded by retreating, then turning tail and fleeing.

"No! No!"

"Gray Demon! The Gray Demon is here!"

"Ahhhhh!"

The rat tide receded from the Blanco Highlands like an ebbing wave.

"For the Great Horned Rat! I'll turn all these worthless creatures into Deep Pit Hatred!" The Ratman Engineer roared in frustration. Seeing Laine charging in, he ordered his subordinates: "Aim at that human!"

"Target acquired!" The dimensional lightning cannon was already aimed at the advancing Laine.

"Fire! Annihilate that Holy Grail Knight completely!" The Engineer pointed at Laine's silhouette: "Fire!!!"

The dimensional lightning cannon powered up, the green dimensional stone being massively drawn for its chaos energy by the cannon's apparatus. On each side of the artillery, the Skaven's depraved and filthy technology began to take effect, and a beam formed within the cannon's barrel.

"Fire!!!"

"Boom~" A green beam over five meters long shot towards the ever-advancing Laine, melting many rat corpses along the way, striking Laine dead-on.

The explosive green flames engulfed the silhouette of the Holy Grail Knight, sending smoke and dust soaring over the highland.

"Yesyes! Holy Grail crap, die-die!"

The Skaven cheered, gesturing triumphantly, the Ratman Engineer standing with arms akimbo: "This is the blessing of the Great Horned Rat!"

"Human trash, weak, weak!"

"Long live the Great Demon Rat Empire!"

"For the Great Horned Rat!"

The ratmen were still celebrating when a calm voice emerged from the smoke and flames: "Oh? Really?"

"???!!!"

Laine's unscathed form emerged from the dense smoke, casually biting a small green dimensional stone cannon fragment with his white teeth. The Grey Knight Primarch nonchalantly spat out the dimensional stone piece.

"Spiritual Storm!!!"

Lightning swept across the entire Skaven stronghold, reducing the remaining ratmen to ashes in the Spiritual Storm. Just as the Ratman Engineer contemplated a desperate stand, Laine had already reached him!
