Urban Super Soldier King
Chapter 2006 - 2107: Avenging Long Wu
Darzi had a bad feeling, which killed any desire to sleep, so he had the radio operator keep trying to contact the front line.
"Boss, I’ve already made ten calls, but nobody’s picking up." the radio operator said anxiously.
"You can’t get through, you don’t think of any other way? Hurry up and go to the front line and see what the hell is going on!" Darzi shouted.
The radio operator nodded, then ran outside.
It was already two‑thirty in the morning; outside it was pitch‑black, and the vast majority of people were deep in dreams.
The radio operator was wide awake now; he called two men to drive toward the front line.
The road was empty of people and cars; they sped along the whole way.
Just as they were about to enter Lieyun City, someone stopped them.
The radio operator was furious; he got out and shouted, "Where’s your captain? Why isn’t he answering the phone?"
He instinctively assumed the people in front of him were COM’s troops, but as soon as he got out and came closer, he regretted it a little.
Because the man in front didn’t say a word; he just drew a knife and stabbed straight at him.
The radio operator didn’t even have time to react before he stopped breathing.
The people in the car tried to grab their guns, but men charged out from around them, yanked the car doors open, and finished them.
When their car had just driven into Lieyun City, Xiang Yu had already spotted them and arranged an ambush there.
Right now Lieyun City was a slaughterhouse; the air was thick with the stench of blood.
The COM people were lying there peacefully, waiting to be butchered.
Darzi paced anxiously back and forth in his office; the radio operator had been gone for a while, but not a single message had come back.
"Someone!" Darzi shouted.
But outside it was dead quiet, no one came in at all, as if they were all asleep.
"A bunch of useless trash, fuck, all you know is sleep." Darzi stormed out angrily.
He hadn’t even reached the door when a dagger pressed right against his neck.
"Take one more step and I’ll kill you."
The icy voice made Darzi shudder all over.
"Friend, who are you? I’ve got no feud with you—why are you doing this? Did someone pay you to do it? That’s easy, I’ll pay you ten times more. Put the knife down."
Darzi forced himself to calm down; his mind was racing as he tried to figure out who this person worked for.
"Don’t bother looking. Everyone outside’s been taken care of by me."
The newcomer’s face was expressionless and cold, but he looked very young, just barely an adult. It was Xiaoxuan.
"Bro, follow me and you can have whatever you want—money, women, power." Darzi said.
"You know who I am?" Xiaoxuan said coldly.
Darzi shook his head. "You with Wolf Fang?"
Darzi didn’t know Xiaoxuan, but this young man had dared to come alone, and had killed all his guards outside. Clearly he wasn’t ordinary.
Only Wolf Fang had talent like this.
"Xiang Yu is my blood brother." Xiaoxuan said flatly.
Darzi froze for a second, then chuckled, "Kid, Xiang Yu is finished. I’ve already taken both his cities. Follow me and I’ll make you City Lord."
"I’m not interested. I came for one thing from you." Xiaoxuan said.
Hearing that, Darzi felt secretly pleased. As long as the other side wanted something, everything was negotiable.
"Say it. As long as it’s something I can give, it’s yours." Darzi said excitedly. "Just move that dagger away first, it’s dangerous."
"I want your head." Xiaoxuan finished speaking and moved to strike.
Darzi sensed the danger and yanked his head back hard.
Xiaoxuan hurriedly dodged, losing control of Darzi.
Darzi seized the chance to leap forward and shout.
"Guards, come save me!" Darzi sprinted desperately toward the outside.
Xiaoxuan’s heart went cold; he flung the dagger out. It flew true and buried itself in Darzi’s neck.
Blood gushed from his throat; Darzi turned his head unwillingly to look at Xiaoxuan.
"You hurt Sister Long Wu. There’s no way you get to live." Xiaoxuan’s eyes went cold; he grabbed the dagger and yanked it out, blood splashing all over his face.
Xiaoxuan took Darzi’s head and hurriedly left the enemy base.
Back in Lieyun City, the slaughter was still going on. The COM people had been hunted down almost to the last; only those who hadn’t appeared in Xiang Yu’s video were left.
"Attention all units, full deployment. Sweep Lieyun City completely. Don’t let a single one slip through."
At four in the morning, Xiang Yu issued the order for a full search.
The City Guard Army couldn’t hold back any longer; they poured out from the underground base.
A few scattered COM members still hadn’t realized the danger was upon them.
At this moment the battle was nearing its end; Xiang Yu sat there, utterly exhausted.
"Commander..."
Xi’er called out as she walked in from outside.
"How’s Long Wu?" Xiang Yu asked from his seat.
Xi’er glanced at Jackson snoring loudly in his chair, then came over to Xiang Yu and said, "She still hasn’t woken up. Commander, you should rest too."
Looking at Xiang Yu’s worn‑out state, Xi’er felt a stab of pity.
Even though Xiang Yu wasn’t on the front line, he had to keep his eyes glued to the situation here; a moment’s lapse could cost his brothers their lives.
"I’m not tired." Xiang Yu said quietly, sitting there.
"The outcome’s already decided. The guys are out searching the city. There shouldn’t be any more problems." Xi’er said.
"It’s not over yet." Xiang Yu said.
"Not over yet?" Xi’er frowned.
She couldn’t figure out what he meant. The COM people had been almost completely slaughtered; whoever was left couldn’t have any real impact anymore.
But looking at Xiang Yu now, it was like the war was still going.
Just then Xiaoxuan walked in from outside.
He was covered in blood, his face very calm, carrying a blood‑soaked bundle in his hand.
Seeing Xiaoxuan return, Xiang Yu finally let out a breath.
Now Xi’er understood: the reason Xiang Yu had been so tense was because he’d been worrying about Xiaoxuan.
"How are you? Are you hurt?" Xi’er asked, looking at Xiaoxuan with concern.
Xiaoxuan ignored her, walked straight up to Xiang Yu, set the bundle on the table, and said, "Bro, I avenged Sister Long Wu."
Xi’er didn’t know what was going on. She stepped up and opened the bundle; when she saw the round human head inside, she stumbled back several steps, then couldn’t hold it in and turned and ran outside.
The shock of that head was too much. She’d seen dead people before, but never a bloody head just sitting right in front of her.
Once outside, she couldn’t help it and threw up.
"Sis, what’s wrong?" Jieke happened to walk by and asked.
"Nothing. What are you doing here?" Xi’er steadied herself, but as soon as she stood up she couldn’t help retching again.
"Are you hurt? What’s going on?" Jieke asked anxiously. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"I’m fine. Are you here to see the Commander?" Xi’er asked...
