"I believe you owe me an explanation," Lin Kuang said, his tone turning cold.

"Th-this... I’m sorry, sir! My apologies, I made a mistake. I’m sorry," the beautiful croupier stammered. I can’t believe this. This isn’t normal at all!

"You might be beautiful, but if an apology was all it took, why would we need security? And did you two really think I wouldn’t notice you conspiring against me? Oh, right. Let me give you a tip: next time you wink and use hand signals, try to be a little more subtle. Not everyone is as idiotic as you are," Lin Kuang said coldly.

At his words, the expressions of both the beautiful croupier and Zhang Tianhong changed. Lin Kuang was right; they had been communicating with winks and gestures. Now, however, he had seen right through their supposedly seamless method. For the two of them, this was more than a simple shock.

"Chengzhen, gather the chips. We’re going to see the head of the San Ye Sect," Lin Kuang said with a smile, glancing at Mu Chengzhen beside him. "It’s just eighty million. We’ll pay him back."

Mu Chengzhen was completely stupefied. This is unbelievable. Is this really happening?

"Chengzhen, what are you spacing out for? Collect the chips," Lin Kuang said again.

Mu Chengzhen snapped back to his senses, quickly agreeing before gathering all the chips from the table. Neither Zhang Tianhong nor the beautiful croupier tried to stop them; they had no grounds to do so.

Taking the chips, Lin Kuang and Mu Chengzhen left the VIP room.

Looking at Mu Chengzhen, Lin Kuang asked with a smile, "Chengzhen, do you know where the person in charge is?"

"Ah, y-yes, I know. Follow me," Mu Chengzhen replied. He had been here a few times, after all, and was fairly familiar with the place.

Under Mu Chengzhen’s guidance, they went upstairs. Even though this was an underground establishment, it had two floors. The upper level was almost exclusively for staff.

When they reached the top of the stairs to the second floor, two men in suits immediately blocked their path. "Sorry, this floor is for staff only. Please go back downstairs," one of them said coldly.

"Get He Qiang. Tell him Mu Chengzhen is here to see him," Mu Chengzhen said with borrowed authority.

The two men frowned, debating whether to notify He Qiang.

Just then, He Qiang walked over with a smile. "Well, well, Young Master Mu. You seem to be in high spirits, coming back again. What can I do for you?" he asked, looking down on them from the top of the stairs.

"Nothing much. Give me my IOU. I have enough chips here to cover the eighty million," Mu Chengzhen said flatly.

Hearing this, He Qiang couldn’t help but crack a small smile. He had seen everything unfold in the surveillance room, so he already knew that Mu Chengzhen and Lin Kuang had won a significant amount of money.

"Alright, follow me," He Qiang said with a smile.

At this, Mu Chengzhen couldn’t help but frown. He Qiang is a notorious old fox. Why is he being so agreeable today? Could he be wary of my father’s status?

Afterward, Lin Kuang and Mu Chengzhen went upstairs and followed He Qiang to a room at the end of the corridor.

Upon entering the office, He Qiang smiled and gestured. "Please, take a seat." He then sat down in the boss’s chair, flanked by two burly men in black suits standing behind him.

"Give me the IOU," Mu Chengzhen said, sitting across from He Qiang.

"Don’t be so hasty. Of course I’ll give it to you," He Qiang said with a smile, looking at Mu Chengzhen. "However, Young Master Mu... eighty million isn’t enough."

Their original plan had been to use Mu Chengzhen to get to Mu Junwen, but that no longer seemed viable. Since that plan was off the table, their only choice was to extort as much as they could.

"What do you mean it’s not enough?" Mu Chengzhen asked, his face darkening.

"Because what you signed wasn’t one IOU. It was three," He Qiang said with a grin, pulling several sheets of A4 paper from his drawer. All of them bore Mu Chengzhen’s name.

At the sight of them, Mu Chengzhen was stunned for a moment before his eyes turned bloodshot. "He Qiang, are you fucking with me?!" he roared.

"Young Master Mu, you shouldn’t make baseless accusations. You signed these yourself. Each one has your name and your Hand Seal on it. These things can’t be faked," He Qiang said with a smile.

"But—but I never signed three of them!" Mu Chengzhen yelled again.

"I wouldn’t know about that. You’d had a bit too much to drink that day and signed them all. You can’t blame me for that," He Qiang replied, his expression perfectly calm.

Mu Chengzhen started to protest again, but Lin Kuang simply laughed and patted his shoulder. "Alright, sit down."

Though Mu Chengzhen wasn’t sure what Lin Kuang was planning, he obediently sat back down.

"Are these the only three? If there are more, you might as well bring them all out now. I’ll settle the whole debt at once," Lin Kuang said to He Qiang with a smile.

Hearing this, He Qiang was slightly startled, a little confused by Lin Kuang’s meaning.

"No, there are only these three," He Qiang said.

Lin Kuang smiled again. He reached out, took the three IOUs from the desk, and tore them to smithereens.

"There. Now the debt is settled, right?" he asked He Qiang, still smiling.

He Qiang was dumbstruck. He never imagined someone would dare to do such a thing right in front of him. This kid is courting death!

"Kid, are you looking to die?" He Qiang asked, his tone ice-cold.

"Not at all. Since you decided to play dirty, why should we play fair? I don’t see the need for it," Lin Kuang said with a smile, completely unbothered by He Qiang’s icy tone.

"Very good. It seems you really are looking to die!" With that, He Qiang whipped out a Desert Eagle from behind his back and pressed the muzzle directly against Lin Kuang’s forehead.

Seeing this, Mu Chengzhen’s face went pale. "He Qiang, stop! I’ll pay you the money, just stop!"

"Pay? It’s too late for that! He dies even if you pay!" He Qiang snarled, his face twisted with rage.

"Kill me? You aren’t qualified," Lin Kuang said calmly, his gaze locked on He Qiang. "And let me give you a piece of advice. I don’t like people pointing guns at my head. It really pisses me off."

For some reason, when meeting Lin Kuang’s pitch-black eyes, He Qiang felt a sudden, inexplicable wave of fear wash over him.

"To hell with you! Stop your bullshit!" He Qiang roared, forcing down the rage in his heart.
