Helplessly, she got up from the warm comfort of the bed covers, got dressed, and placed one of her undergarments in front of Feng Xuxu.

Through the blanket, she slipped into the loose undergarment, which hung loosely on her body like a short dress, sticking her head out and finally breathing in some fresh air.

She picked up Feng Xuxu again, feeling somewhat exhausted and sleepy. For the first time in ten years, she felt such relaxation both in body and mind.

A few maids clustered in the room and quickly finished preparing their young mistress. After eating breakfast, as the day brightened, she walked towards the front courtyard with a nervous heart.

Creak, the door was pushed open by Feng Xuxu. She poked her head in to see her cousin staring at her, she stuck out her tongue before confidently entering.

"About to be wed and still not learning proper manners," he scolded, flipping through the newly received invitations, feeling a touch of sentiment at his niece’s impending marriage.

"Getting married?" Feng Xuxu was surprised for a moment, then remembered that she seemed to have agreed to marry Dugu Chen, but she hadn’t expected it to be so soon.

"Yes, take a look. This is the wedding invitation that just arrived," he said, passing a big red wedding card to his cousin at the table.

Feng Xuxu glanced over it and upon seeing her own and Dugu Chen’s names at the bottom, she finally believed that her wedding was set for June and, moreover, it would take place on her own birthday.
