Chapter 907: Self-Harm

"Something else?" Aurelia Shaw curved her lips and asked.

"Aurelia, don't be too arrogant. Don't think Mason Nightshade can protect you forever. You'll have a day when you fall from grace!" Anna Reed gritted her teeth and said.

Aurelia chuckled softly, "I'm waiting for that day. When it comes, Miss Reed, you're welcome to be the first to seek revenge on me."

Aurelia patted her shoulder and walked away.

Anna clenched her fists in anger, directing her fury at the other woman, "Didn't you say she was just a kept mistress? You can't even tell who she is and still dare to ask me to back you up."

Anna slapped the woman in anger.

The woman covered her face and cried, not daring to make a sound.

...

"What took you so long?" Sawyer asked her.

"Ran into a little trouble, but it's resolved now," Aurelia replied with a light smile.

Before agreeing to meet with Sawyer, she had already found out that this store belonged to Anna Reed and that Anna would be here today.

Since the Shaw mother and daughter were restless, she might as well let Anna teach them a lesson. ๐š๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐ž๐š ๐•–๐›๐—ป๐—ผ๐ฏ๐•–๐š•.๐šŒ๐—ผ๐—บ

While she dared not touch Anna, the Shaw family was a weak and easily attacked target.

Sawyer suddenly shivered, wondering what kind of scheme this woman was plotting again. Her gaze was terrifying; he felt a bit frightened.

...

Stepping out of the drinks store, Aurelia's phone rang in her pocket.

She squinted her eyes for a moment in thought before answeringโ€”it was a call from the mental hospital. She had told them to contact her if Eleanor Spencer showed any abnormal behavior.

It seemed Eleanor was being uncooperative again.

Driving at top speed, Aurelia arrived at the mental hospital.

A nurse led her through a long, dark corridor and opened the heavy door, "Recently, for some reason, she hasn't been eating. When I came to deliver her meal today, I found her like this..."

Of course, they didn't really take good care of delivering three meals a day, but Aurelia didn't expose them.

Her gaze moved to the bed.

The person on the bed had her hands and feet restrained, dark red blood staining the white sheets. Eleanor's face was pale, her eyes empty, staring at the ceiling as if she couldn't hear anything, the sunlight shining on her bloodless face, resembling a corpse.

Aurelia waved the nurse away and approached the bedside, staring at Eleanor's bloodless face. She curled her lips coldly, letting out a light laugh, "Self-harm? Weren't you the most afraid of pain? How could you bring yourself to cut your own hand?"

Her fair and delicate fingers brushed over the blood-streaked wristโ€”this was much less than what she had experienced before.

Eleanor pulled a ghastly smile, "I want your conscience to be uneasy. I became like this all because of you. Haha, even if I can't get out, I'll haunt your memory and torment you eternally."

Aurelia seemed to hear a funny joke, "Next time, don't cut your wrist. Your face would be more noticeable anyway; it's not like it's worth looking at anymore."

Eleanor's pupils suddenly shrank! "Aurelia, do you even have a heart? How could a woman like you deserve Mason?"

"If I don't deserve him, do you? What could you possibly offer? With your ruined face? Your filthy body? Or your malicious heart? In what way are you worthy of him?"

"Ha... hahaha... hahaha..." Tears rolled down Eleanor's cheeks, "He's so good, so outstanding. Since I was little, I've always looked up to him.

The first time my mom brought me in front of him, when I saw him, I was captivated. He was the most exceptional man I had ever seen, and he always has been.
