The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter
Chapter 124: Chimera Creation II
He paused to organize his thoughts. He needed to make sure that he made no mistakes with his instrustions. If not, the system would just give him the wrong thing because he didn’t explain properly.
’Condition four. The clean, usable mana that naturally circulates through its body should not harden the meat.’ Adrian explained. ’Standard monster mana makes flesh dense and gamey, and I do not want that. The mana needs to actively tenderize the muscle fibers. It should make the meat incredibly soft and highly flavorful. I want the texture to resemble a premium Wagyu beef. It needs to have a perfect, rich webbing of fat marbled directly between the muscle tissues.’
’Condition five.’ Adrian continued. ’The rest of the usable mana must be entirely routed into the outer hide. The skin needs to be magically reinforced. The leather produced from this creature must be ridiculously durable. It has to be capable of absorbing heavy blunt strikes from weapons like war hammers and it needs to be extremely tough to cut with standard steel blades.’
’Condition six. On top of that reinforced skin, the creature must grow a massive coat of long fur or thick wool. Or some sort of high quality fiber that can be easily sheared and spun into premium yarn for clothing.’
’Condition seven. Underneath the skin, situated right between the outer flesh and the durable hide, there must be a very thick, heavy layer of pure fat. If you can add a location where excess fat naturally accumulates without harming the animal, add that as well.’
’Condition eight. They need a massive biological drive to reproduce.’ Adrian finished his list. ’Their natural mating instincts must be extremely high. They need to breed and multiply as fast as physically possible while maintaining all of these traits.’
Adrian sat back and waited while the system got to work.
[Input taken. Simulating multiple genetic combinations.]
[Time needed to complete synthesis: Unknown.]
Adrian sighed. An unknown timer meant the system was processing something extremely complex, which only meant that the time taken might be a bit too much.
He was just about to stand up and leave the dungeon, thinking that he could have some dinner and come back tomorrow. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
But just as he was about to get up from his chair, the contents on the system screen changed.
The system updated the estimated time and it changed from unknown to exactly three hours.
Adrian stopped. Three hours was manageable so he decided to just stay in here.
He got the dungeon to prepare his bathtub and sat inside before he began his mana breathing. He wasn’t going to waste any time.
Finally after three hours, a soft chime echoed in his head and Adrian got out of the bathtub and looked at the system screen.
A short, highly detailed list of generated results popped up in front of him.
The system had successfully produced three different options for him and Adrian went through it slowly.
All three of the proposed creatures were heavily modified variations of cows. They all shared the exact same core features he had demanded. They all produced massive amounts of premium meat but it wasn’t that different from a normal cow but it was still pretty good. After all, cows were bigger than pigs and sheep.
Their hide could be processed into better quality leather, and they also gave high quality wool.
The only major difference between the three variants was their anatomical approach to handling the dangerous, unstable mana.
Adrian read the first option.
The first variant was a massive cow that possessed a large camel hump on its back. All of the toxic, chaotic mana was routed away from the flesh and stored entirely inside the fatty tissue of the hump.
He checked the second option.
The second variant routed all of the unstable mana deep into its skeletal structure. The bones themselves acted as the storage facility, becoming highly toxic and filled with chaotic energy.
He moved to the third option, which routed the negative mana entirely into its horns.
Other than those specific mana storage methods, the three cows were basically identical in appearance and yield.
They were much bigger than normal cows but a lot of that size came from the fat inside them. The system notes stated that one fully grown cow at its absolute maximum growth stage would weigh roughly 1500 kilograms.
But the system also included a highly specific agricultural warning. Based on the feed conversion ratio and the optimal meat tenderness, the absolute best harvest time to butcher the animal was not at its maximum size. The perfect time to harvest the meat was when the cow reached approximately one ton in weight, which was 1000kg. Letting it grow to one point five tons would just be a waste of food and it would also make the meat less tender.
Adrian read through the data and continued reading even more. This wasn’t the end after all.
All three variations looked vaguely like massive, wooly oxen. They all possessed humps on their backs, but while the first option used its hump to store the deadly negative energy, the second and third options simply used their humps to store massive amounts of pure, clean fat.
All three variants featured a ridiculously thick layer of fat exactly like he requested. The fat layer measured six to eight inches thick during the optimal one ton harvest period. If the cow was allowed to reach the full one point five ton size, that fat layer would be around to nine or ten inches thick.
The meat quality descriptions were absolutely perfect. It was beautifully fatty but not overwhelmingly greasy. It had a great ratio of premium muscle to marbled fat. It was almost exactly like a premium high quality cut. He would not strictly call it an authentic Earth Wagyu, but it was easily the absolute highest premium quality meat available in this entire fantasy world.
But there two more major, glaring difference between the three prototypes.
The overall growth time.
Adrian checked the maturation schedules.
