Throughout the dinner, he served plenty of dishes to Nathalie Quinlan but hardly ate anything himself, accompanying Kenzie Nabours for two cups of liquor.

Nathalie Quinlan noticed his cold jade-like earlobes flushed and discretely moved the liquor glass away, requesting the waiter to bring up a Hangover Tea.

Then she said to Kenzie Nabours, "Uncle Nabours, you should drink less too."

"I know." Kenzie Nabours chuckled as she intervened, his bushy eyebrows and tiger’s eye meaning a mixed expression of laugh and disbelief.

He wanted to tease the girl for two sentences but was immediately silenced by a pat on the leg from his wife under the table, who reprimanded, "Why are you drinking again? I remember you said you’ve quit drinking."

"Nathalie scored first, I’m just happy, right?"

Marcella Davidson was a bit speechless, "So you just kept drinking with Amadeus Yancey?"

Kenzie Nabours feared nothing of sky or ground but did fear his wife, he immediately told Amadeus Yancey he wouldn’t drink and quickly apologized to her, "I won’t drink anymore, I won’t drink."

Marcella Davidson shot him another glance before letting things rest.

Just then, Nathalie Quinlan stood up, picked up her phone and said to a few people, "I’m going to the restroom."

Sadam Vinson was engrossed in conversation with Jaycent Kingsley; only then did he notice her and impulsively said, "Nathalie, want me to accompany you?"

He realized right after speaking, immediately covering his mouth, "Ahem, I didn’t say anything, be careful yourself."

Amadeus Yancey seemed rather assured about her, gently reminding the girl: "Send me a WhatsApp sometimes."

"..." Nathalie Quinlan was merely heading to the restroom, surprised by their large reactions; she was taken aback but still casually responded while pulling her chair back.

Then she greeted Marcella Davidson and left.

Outside the private room.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t wander far. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

She went to the restroom, came out, washed her hands, and was ready to head back.

Then she was called out on her way back.

"Miss Nathalie."

Nathalie Quinlan frowned instinctively upon hearing the voice, stopping in her tracks.

James Lawrence caught up quickly, blocking her way. From a few interactions, he had gauged the girl’s temper, so he spoke directly and concisely, "Miss Nathalie, Elder Six is waiting for you in the private room."

"No."

Sure enough, the girl did not intend to meet him, stepping forward to bypass him.

James Lawrence spread his arms to block her, his expression flustered as he said, "Miss Nathalie, you should meet Elder Six, we’ve been following you all day."

Nathalie Quinlan paused, turned back to look at him, her eyes profoundly dark as if a captive beast was ready to break free: "You were tracking me?"

James Lawrence was startled by her but he was seasoned from being alongside Frederick Upton for years.

After a momentary lapse, he quickly regained composure though his heart was slightly shaky, pounding with nervousness. James Lawrence dared not meet Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes, hurriedly saying, "Miss Nathalie, don’t misunderstand. We just want to discuss something, not to threaten you."

Ha, not a threat.

Yet they pointed out they’ve been following her.

Isn’t this a threat?

What is it then?

A warning?

Pressuring her for a meeting?

Nathalie Quinlan’s lips curled with rebelliousness, bones in her eyes spreading with sinister malice, her gaze cold and reckless...

If it weren’t for Kenzie Nabours and Marcella Davidson being not far in the private room, she might have confronted James Lawrence immediately.

But her planned departure from the Kingsleys Family wasn’t to alarm Kenzie Nabours.

Nathalie Quinlan took a deep breath repressing the turmoil in her chest, and coldly lifted her gaze: "Where is he?"
