Zevaney Kingsley opened her mouth.

She had spent a long time arranging a meeting with Harvey Cadorette, and before she could achieve her purpose, he was about to leave.

Unfortunately, Harvey didn’t give her a chance to persuade him to stay. He took his jacket off the back of the chair and apologized, as his phone rang again—this time it was a phone call.

He answered the call, saying hurriedly, "I’m outside, I’ll be back right away."

"Zevaney, I’ll go ahead," he said, not caring about Zevaney and the others, grabbed his things, and left the private room in a hurry.

With Harvey gone, Zevaney’s purpose for treating everyone to a meal today was completely frustrated.

Her temples throbbed violently twice, and she closed her eyes, taking a long time to recover her composure.

The Manager of Ocean Pavilion didn’t force her, but he hadn’t left either.

It was clear he was waiting for them to leave.

Once Zevaney recovered, her face was ashen. She picked up her bag and said to the group in the room, "Let’s go."

The moment she said "Let’s go," she had already implicitly accepted the slap in the face she received today!

No one else dared to provoke her bad mood; they could only take their belongings and follow her.

The group came in with vigor and left giving an impression of fleeing in defeat...

In another private room at the Ocean Pavilion.

The waiter brought in top-grade Oolong Tea again and replaced the dishes on the table with Ocean Pavilion’s signature dishes.

Ocean Pavilion is famous throughout Inderia for its unique signature dishes.

If Ocean Pavilion’s private rooms are hard to book, the signature dishes prepared by the head chef are even harder to reserve—you simply can’t eat them even if you want to.

Wincent Sullivan and Agnes Baker glanced at each other, taking a moment to recover from the shock.

Agnes opened her mouth, looked at the table full of delicacies, and couldn’t help but ask the girl, "Nathalie Quinlan, do you know the Manager here?"

Nathalie just received a call from the Manager of Ocean Pavilion, saying they’d already ’sent’ Zevaney and the others away.

She put down her phone, heard Agnes’s murmur, looked up, and placed her fingers on the phone case, calmly withdrawing her hand, "Not exactly knowing."

Agnes sighed in relief, then realized something felt off.

Nathalie didn’t know the manager, yet the Manager’s attitude towards her was respectful, even somewhat cautious.

"Then..."

"I know their boss." Nathalie picked up her chopsticks, not feeling she said anything shocking, and told them, "You guys should eat a bit more."

"Oh, oh." Agnes picked up her chopsticks, grabbed a piece of fish maw, her hand shook a bit and nearly lost grip, still somewhat in a daze.

Knowing Ocean Pavilion’s boss seems even more... shocking than knowing the manager!

Nathalie didn’t further explain who Ocean Pavilion’s boss was or how she knew them. Since Wincent and Agnes didn’t ask, she didn’t elaborate.

The meal concluded.

Wincent and Agnes didn’t chat much afterwards, busy digesting what happened today, until it was time to part with the girl.

The two prepared to return to the research institute.

Agnes stopped halfway, suddenly too excited to contain herself as she addressed Wincent, "Williansen didn’t show up today. I think this rookie is extraordinary, have we found a treasure?!"

Wincent’s mind was blank, not answering her for a long time, until he took a deep breath and told her, "Let the two of us know about today’s events, don’t mention them to others at the research institute."
