 I have to do this to protect you. I can’t bear to see you in danger anymore," he said, with a firm tone.
 "But you’re hurting me right now," Beatrix cried, her face buried in his chest.
 He held her tightly, his voice shaking as he spoke, "I understand. I never wanted to cause you pain. I’m so sorry, Beatrix. Please believe me. I never intended to hurt you."
 Beatrix pulled back from him and stared at him in shock, as tears streamed down her face as she shook her head in disbelief. Every fiber of her being felt torn apart by the weight of his words
 "I love you, just know that" he whispered as
 he gently held her face and planted kisses on her cheeks. His breaths came out in ragged gasps, and he pulled away from her, releasing her hands from his shirt and standing up straight.
 Beatrix could only continue sobbing, her mind overwhelmed by the tumultuous emotions swirling inside her.
 Despite knowing she should fight harder, Beatrix felt completely shattered. Her heart, mind, and body were all broken and she didn’t know how to cope with any of it.
 She longed to chase after Damien, but the pain and the cords immobilized her. Instead, she found herself pleading with him not to go.
 "Damien, please," she begged, pressing her hands to her face as he neared the door. She then dug her fingers into her hair, gripping the roots tightly. "Please, just stay with me. You don’t have to do this."
 Damien’s eyes were filled with pain and regret as he stepped away from her. "I’m not walking away from you, Beatrix. I’m sending you away to keep you safe. I promise you, once everything is settled, I will come for you."
 Beatrix stared at him in disbelief. "And what if something happens to you? What if you don’t come back?" she asked, her voice breaking with fear.

 </div> Damien sighed and walked back to her,his eyes intense. "I will come back. I promise you, Beatrix. I will never leave you alone for long. You are my everything," he said, taking her hand and kissing it gently.
 Beatrix felt a lump form in her throat as she looked into his eyes, seeing the love and determination in them. "I don’t want to go," she whispered, feeling tears stream down her face.
 "I know, love. But this is for your own safety," Damien said, wiping away her tears with his thumb.
 Beatrix nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. She knew that Damien was right, and that leaving was the only way to keep herself safe. But it didn’t make it any easier.
 "I love you," she said, looking up at him with watery eyes.
 "I love you too," Damien said, pulling her into a tight embrace.
 Beatrix buried her head in his chest, feeling the warmth of his body and the beat of his heart. She knew that this was goodbye for now, but she refused to think of it as forever. She would see him again, no matter what it took.
 And with that thought, she took a deep breath and let go of him, knowing that this was the only way to keep them both alive.
 Beatrix watched as Damien walked away from him, her shoulders hunched in sadness. She felt a pang in her heart as she saw the man he loved walk away.
 As Damien turned around for one last look at her, Damien held up his hand in a small wave Beatrix tried to put on a brave face for him. She couldn’t let him see how much this was tearing her apart inside.
 Damien sighed and walked back to her again and knelt in front of her.
 "Beatrix..." he called her softly.
 She looked to him, her heart racing.
 "What is it?" she asked, hopefully. Did he changed his mind?
 Damien reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.
 "I was going to give this to you tonight, but I want you to have it now," he said, opening the box to reveal a stunning diamond ring.
 Beatrix gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. "Damien, it’s beautiful," she said, tears streaming down her face.
 "I want you to wear it always, as a reminder that no matter where we are, we are still connected," he said, taking the ring from the box and slipping it onto her finger.
 Beatrix stared at the ring, feeling a rush of emotions. She knew that this was a symbol of their love, and that no matter what happened, they would always be together in their hearts.
 "I will wear it always," she said, looking up at Damien with a small smile.
 Damien leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips, his hands on her cheeks. "I will come back for you, Beatrix. I promise," he said, before turning and walking away.

 </div> "What about Rhys? What is he saying about this? Does he really want me to go?" Beatrix shouted at him making him pause.
 Damien turned to look at her and sighed, "He doesn’t want you to go but we have agreed it’s for the best. We will come for you."
 Beatrix shook her head, "No. I want to see him before I go. Tell him to see me." Beatrix demanded.
 She knew Damien had the tendency to make decisions in the relationship. She needed to hear what Rhys think too.
 "Alright." And what that he walked out of the room.
 Beatrix watched him go, feeling a mixture of emotions sadness and hope.She knew that he would keep his promise, and that one day they would be reunited.
 As Beatrix remained curled up with her knees to her chest, she couldn’t tell how much time had passed until she heard the laughter and banter of Ares, Ava, and Stella filtering through the door. It was clear to her that they had formed a strong bond, which was great. However, her tears continued to overwhelm her, making her feel increasingly crippled.
 Suddenly, Ares rushed into the room, accompanied by Stella and Ava, and asked in a panicked voice, "Bear, hey darlin’, what’s wrong? Why are you crying? What’s happened?" His concerned tone was echoed by the other two, who also asked what was wrong.
 Beatrix felt the bed sink and Stella wrapped her arm around her shoulders, sounding beside herself with worry "Beatrix - what’s going on? What’s happened? Talk to us, please babe. The men said they were going to discuss business so we should come keep you company but now you’re crying, why?"
 "He said I should go home. He wants me gone - I know it’s for the best but still it hurts. It’s like he is dismissing me from his life"
 Beatrix choked, squeezing her eyes shut as she buried her face in her hands and curl against herself tighter.
 A shocked and confused "What?" comes from
 Ava at the same time a furious "That fucking idiot!" comes from Ares. We were able to convince dad to let you stay with him but he is sending you away? Why? I thought he wanted you to stay with him too? I thought he loved you that’s why I was nice to him but he pulled this crazy stunt?"
 "Where are you going?" Ava’s voice pipes up and she heard Ares cussing under his breath.
 "I’m going to fucking find him for making my sister cry and knocking some good damn sense into his thick fuckin head.
 He’s not doing this shit - not to my princess." Ares snapped.
 "Just stay with her, please stop her cryin’. I can’t stand seein her cry - fuck I’m gonna kill him" he said, growling in the back of his throat
 - he sounded livid.
 The door in the room slammed shut so hard she was surprised it didn’t come off the hinges, and she felt Stella cuddled against her while the end of the bed dips and she felt Ava hand pat against her thigh.
 "Shhhh" Stella hushed "I’m right here. Please try and calm down babe, I’m so sorry - we’ll figure this out, just try and talk to me"
 "Just take deep breaths honey" Ava said, sounding riddled with concern "Ares will find him and then we can all take turns slapping him"

 </div> Beatrix could barely hear what they’re saying, her head was throbbing and her ears were ringing; all she could focus on was how fucking unbearable this felt.
 She never thought she would have to feel this kind of pain with Damien again, but now it felt so much worse; she didn’t know loving someone could hurt this much.
 As much as she was trying to understand what he did, and what he was feeling - that he thought he was doing the right thing by her even if it devastated her; she still don’t think she could ever understand it purely because she could never imagine doing that to him, she would have listened to him.
 She would never understand how he could just leave like that.
 And what’s crushing her even more, is that familiar feeling that she never thought she would feel again was back.
 "What about Rhys? What is he saying about this?" Ava asked, breaking the silence.
 She realised what she had said and gave Beatrix an apologetic smile.
 "Errrmm...I mean does he want his brother to ermm let you—-"
 Beatrix shook her head, "It’s okay, Stella knows everything." She said to Ava and saw her release a breath of relief.
 Stella chuckled, "Don’t worry dear. We met Rhys first at the club. So what is he saying?"
 "I don’t know....I’m waiting for him."
 "So what would you do if he doesn’t want you to go? Which one of them would you listen to?"</div>
