The Smiling Death
Chapter 403: Angel Of Chaos Vs Blood Devil (2)
Cracks of energy spread across the surface of the sphere.
Then it exploded.
A massive explosion spread across the sky, covering nearly half a kilometer. The shockwave pushed clouds away, shook the forest below, and flattened trees in a wide area.
It was pure destruction.
A giant mushroom-like cloud of smoke and mixed red and purple energy formed in the sky.
But inside that smoke. They were still fighting.
Clang! Boom! Slash! Explosion!
Kazriel and Vetaal continued to move violently through the sky, faster and faster. Their movements were now so fast that normal people could barely see them. Red and purple streaks kept colliding again and again like shooting stars crashing into each other.
The two of them shot out of the explosion cloud and continued fighting while moving rapidly across the sky.
Their battle slowly moved away from the eastern tower toward the north tower.
Below, people who were resting and treating wounds near the north tower suddenly noticed the sky lighting up again and again with red and purple explosions.
Steffeny looked up first. Her eyes widened in shock.
"What... is that?" Oliver whispered.
They saw two figures moving across the sky at insane speed, colliding again and again, causing explosions in midair.
Then Steffeny’s eyes widened even more.
"That... that is Amon..." Peter, who was just a few steps away from them, said.
Steffeny was shocked to hear that. What she was seeing now was beyond anything she had ever imagined.
The battle did not stop there.
The two figures moved again, flying across the sky toward the western tower.
Kael had just come outside after deactivating the tower when he heard a massive explosion in the sky. He looked up and froze.
Two figures were fighting in the sky like gods of destruction.
Each clash created explosions. Each movement shook the air.
"This... is not a human battle... what is happening..." Kael muttered.
"Who are they—" Just then his eyes widened. He did not know who the other person was. But the one with red energy was without a doubt Amon. He could see it.
"Amon..."
Far away at the southern tower, Roland and Silvan had just come outside and were resting with others.
Julian and Katherine were with them as well.
They also saw the sky flashing red and purple again and again.
Roland looked up in shock. "What the hell is happening..."
Silvan narrowed his eyes. "That... looks like Amon..."
Across the entire forest, people from all sides could see the battle in the sky.
It looked like the sky itself was breaking.
But in that battle, Vetaal was slowly taking more damage.
Even though he could regenerate blood and weapons endlessly, Kazriel’s destruction flames were different. Every time those flames touched the blood, it completely erased it. It did not just cut or burn. It destroyed.
Vetaal was also getting tired.
Using so much mana, producing so much blood, fighting a divine being using a human body, all of it was taking a toll.
Inside Amon’s mind, Vetaal spoke in a serious voice.
"This is bad... At this rate... we cannot kill him easily."
Outside, Kazriel hovered in the air, purple flames swirling around him like a god of destruction.
"You are getting slower, Vetaal," Kazriel said calmly.
"And this body of yours... is reaching its limit."
He vanished and appeared in front of Vetaal. He was late to react.
A punch landed on Amon’s stomach, and he was sent flying downward. His body collided with the ground, and a huge pit formed from the impact.
Kazriel was just about to attack him with purple flames but stopped midair.
His eyes glowed purple. Then he vanished.
Moving at lightning speed, he dashed into the black tower and flew through the huge door.
There, on the stairs that led upward, Scarlett and Mark were walking forward, trying to go up and deactivate the tower while Kazriel and Vetaal were busy fighting.
"Oh... so you thought... you could enter and deactivate it while I am away..."
He raised his spear and slashed. Purple flames shot toward Scarlett and Mark.
"Shit!"
"No!"
They were far too injured to protect themselves.
But before the flames could hit them, something came between them and the attack.
Swoop.
BOOM!
The flames crashed against the wall, pipes, and machines but were immediately extinguished by Kazriel’s command.
Vetaal had arrived just in time. He scooped both Mark and Scarlett up in his hands and rushed outside the tower.
He carried them far away from the tower. After moving nearly a kilometer in just a few seconds, he placed them gently on the ground.
Then Amon’s voice came. "Go away! Don’t get near the tower! That guy is too crazy and too strong."
"We... we were just trying to take advantage of the situation..." Scarlett said while biting her lip.
Amon saw her expression and said, "Don’t worry... we will get out of this. Vetaal and I will kill him. Just believe in us."
Mark nodded. His dirty blonde hair was drenched in sweat. "Yes..."
"Take care, Amon... don’t die," Scarlett said in a worried tone.
Meanwhile, Kazriel came outside the tower and created a barrier so no one could enter.
"Now... I won’t have any distractions," Kazriel said, then turned around. His white wings flapped as he dashed toward Vetaal’s direction.
From the opposite side, Amon came rushing in at incredible speed.
Kazriel raised his spear once more. This time, he was going to end this once and for all.
The flames on his spear began to blaze more wildly. Their intensity increased, and the spear in his hand turned into a pure form of purple flame.
Its size continued to increase and kept growing larger and larger.
Seeing that, Vetaal formed multiple long needles of blood. They covered the entire sky.
Soon, they gathered together and started forming a huge sphere. The needles crawled inside it with incredible speed like worms.
Then they began compressing the sphere more and more until it became three times the size of a football, but extremely dense.
Kazriel, without wasting any time, threw his flame spear made of Chaos fire.
At the same time, Vetaal launched the compressed blood sphere at lightning speed.
It looked as if a comet of blood was shooting forward.
The two attacks rushed toward each other, carrying terrifying power.
