[Warning: Violator is one kilometer away.]

[Warning: Violator...]

[Warning: ...]

A dark look crossed Gao Fuyu’s face. He was certain the violator was after him.

It was all because his S-rank talent, Beast Intuition, was screaming a warning, the sense of impending doom making his heart pound.

When he thought of the thousands of survivors who had died at the violator’s hands, he felt as if the sky itself was falling.

"Run! We have to run!" Gao Fuyu shouted to his squad members without a moment’s hesitation.

Many survivors lacked the strength or means to form a proper faction, but they could at least band together in small squads for mutual protection.

Not all survivors were caught up in infighting and political maneuvering. Most were just ordinary people, and instances of betrayal were rare.

Of course, everyone still had their own little secrets and self-interests.

"Captain, it’s too late," a survivor said bitterly.

In truth, their talents were fairly average, mostly ranging from F-rank to D-rank.

The divide between D-rank and C-rank was a major one. Talents at that level were a rarity among survivors.

The words had barely left his mouth when Gao Fuyu saw a black dot streak across the sky.

"Find cover!!!"

Gao Fuyu roared, already moving.

He couldn’t see the violator’s attack, but the warning from his S-rank talent, Beast Intuition, was already screaming past its limits.

If not for the adrenaline from the crisis suppressing the backlash, he would have collapsed on the spot.

From the sky, a Dark Ray descended.

A survivor who couldn’t dodge in time was instantly disintegrated, their carbonized remains scattering on the ground.

Rage burned in Gao Fuyu’s eyes as he witnessed the scene.

The survivor who died was one of his own, a squadmate he had handpicked.

They had been through hell and back together; it was impossible not to have formed a bond.

Before his rage could even fully ignite, the Armored Man descended from the sky, flanked by five futuristic Floating Cannons.

"Gao Fuyu. S-rank talent, Beast Intuition. Correct?" said Qi Suian.

If he hadn’t been trying to make a show of force, Qi Suian wouldn’t have used a Dark Energy Beam; he would have used a Ghost Energy Storm.

Against a Ghost Energy Storm, the survivors’ cover would be just as fragile as their bodies.

"What do you want?" Gao Fuyu calmed himself and asked bluntly.

"I’m interested in your talent," Qi Suian said. "Come with me, and I’ll leave their bodies intact." He paused, realizing his mistake, then added, "My mistake. I’ll let them leave."

Qi Suian had accidentally spoken his true intentions.

That’s right—there was never any intention of letting them go. Survivors were his natural enemies. Every one he killed was one less threat.

That’s why he never spared any survivor he encountered.

As for whether this was the wanton slaughter of innocents, Qi Suian would admit that his actions were brutal and unethical.

But this was how one should treat their enemies.

’Should I just wait for the survivors to grow stronger and come kill me instead?’

Gao Fuyu was left speechless by Qi Suian’s words. The man was clearly just messing with him.

"Attack! He has no intention of letting us live!" Without hesitation, Gao Fuyu was the first to open fire.

He shot to his feet, unleashing a spray of bullets from his automatic rifle.

He wasn’t alone. The entire squad opened up, unleashing a torrent of firepower—grenades, sniper rounds, and pistol fire—all directed at Qi Suian.

But none of the attacks could hit Qi Suian.

The Tai Sui God’s armor couldn’t withstand that much firepower, it was true. But its AI, the Chaotic Quantum Intelligent System, was assisted by a quantum dynamic structure chip. Tapping into the Wind Master Aviation System, it achieved incredible movement speed.

It couldn’t tank the hits, but its evasion stat was maxed out.

"Well, the bluff failed. Guess I have to do this the hard way," Qi Suian said. Immediately, the Floating Cannons unleashed their Dark Rays.

In a single sweep, every survivor except for Gao Fuyu was killed instantly.

Qi Suian himself couldn’t control them with such fluid grace, but the AI could.

The only reason Qi Suian had wasted time talking was to get them to hand over their apocalypse game rewards. The plan had been to squeeze them dry before killing them.

Unfortunately, communication had broken down, leaving him no choice but to act directly.

With its full set of SSS-rank modules, the Tai Sui God would be pretty useless if it couldn’t even insta-kill a few survivors.

You could call it a glass cannon, but you couldn’t call it weak.

Gao Fuyu stared in disbelief. In a single instant, all of his teammates were gone.

The Dark Energy Beam was far beyond what any survivor at this stage could handle. It was so fast that none of them had time to react.

"Excellent. You’re not infected with the Abyssal Virus. Otherwise, I’d have to figure out how to purge it from you," Qi Suian said with a thin smile.

The Tai Sui God was currently strong enough, and the enemies were few, so there was no need to apply an infection debuff first.

Gao Fuyu forced himself to remain calm. "It’s my talent you want?"

"I can give it to you. Just let me live."

He knew, of course, that bargaining with Qi Suian was pointless. Once he was captured, everything he had would belong to his captor anyway.

Gao Fuyu’s mind was racing. ’Why was Qi Suian after him? Could it be that his "violation" was the ability to forcibly take talents from other survivors?’

But he was still puzzled—how did the man know what his talent was?

"You can’t give it to me," Qi Suian said. Without wasting any more words, he moved and injected Gao Fuyu with an anesthetic.

"Survivors are so easy to handle. An anesthetic is all it takes."

At this stage, survivors were still just ordinary people. They had no contact with the Extraordinary.

In his world, there were currently two paths to becoming Extraordinary. One was through the Divine Prayer Association and the Watchman Morning Company; the other was to become a zombie.

But both paths required the Abyssal Virus.

Therefore, if survivors wanted to gain extraordinary power, their only option was through the apocalypse game—in the form of so-called skills.

However, given how stingy the apocalypse game was, even when it did grant skills, they were either weaker than firearms or purely for support.

A quick search of Gao Fuyu’s body turned up a piece of equipment.

"A duplicate. Useless."

The equipment he’d taken from Gao Fuyu was a small Abyssal Virus resistor—the predecessor to Qi Suian’s own Divine Purification Force Field (Abyssal).

The device no longer held any research value for him.

Still, Qi Suian pocketed it. It might be useful for tricking someone later.

As for skills? Most survivors used them the moment they got them. The case with the Lucky Sister Flowers, who held onto theirs to trade with a regressor, was a classic case of plot-induced stupidity.

Otherwise, who in their right mind would give up something that valuable?
