The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign
Chapter 510 - 498: I’ve Never Seen Such a Pretentious Person!
"Damn it! This is bullying! This is fucking bullying!"
After sitting down, Li Yunzhe watched the young man walk into the side garden and began muttering indignantly under his breath.
But Qin Fan didn’t quite agree.
His gaze lingered on the young man fussing over the plants and flowers, the corners of his mouth turning up in a mischievous smile.
Interesting. How did I never notice there was something strange about this guy in my past life? I must have come here at least a hundred times, yet I never detected any clues? I originally thought he was just a bit eccentric, but now it seems it’s much more than that! My early arrival led me to encounter the shop owner’s immense aura, something I was never aware of before. Could this be a product of the Heavenly Dao’s trajectory being altered?
"Quite interesting! I completely misjudged him," Qin Fan whispered to himself with a light laugh.
"Big Brother, what did you say?" Li Yunzhe asked in confusion, not having heard Qin Fan’s muttering.
"Nothing. Just drink," Qin Fan replied nonchalantly, shaking his head.
"Damn, I’ve never seen such a pretentious asshole! Big Brother, can you really stand it? Are you truly not going to teach this prick a lesson? Damn it, he’s bullying us!" Li Yunzhe said, still unable to let it go.
Although he had been terrified moments earlier, his courage returned when he remembered that his heaven-defying big brother, Qin Fan, was right beside him.
"Can you just stop your damn whining?" Qin Fan snapped impatiently.
Faced with this growing sense of strangeness and Qin Fan’s attitude, what could Wolf Bro say?
Nothing.
At this moment, he could only direct his indignation toward the rose milk in front of him. He picked up the cup and gulped it down.
GULP, GULP, GULP.
The moment the rose milk went down his throat, his eyes widened in astonishment.
"Holy shit, how can it be this delicious? Fuck me, why aren’t more people buying this?" Li Yunzhe exclaimed, his previous anger seemingly forgotten as he was captivated by the rose milk.
Qin Fan just shook his head helplessly.
Although I never drank the rose milk here in my past life, how different could it be from the rose tea that became my habit? In comparison, I don’t even need to drink it. Just one whiff and I can tell this cup of rose milk is something special.
Before he could speak, Li Yunzhe, recalling their earlier conflict, added, "Serves him right for having no customers! With that kind of attitude, he should be thankful no one smashes his shop. Damn it!"
As he spoke, he couldn’t resist the temptation calling to his taste buds and once again lifted the rose milk to his lips.
Seeing this, Qin Fan smiled without saying much and also lifted his own cup of milk to his mouth.
A single glass of rose milk was no match for Li Yunzhe, who drained it in a few gulps.
Putting the cup down, Li Yunzhe looked at Qin Fan. "Big Brother, can I have another one?"
"I bet he won’t make another for you. Want to bet?"
As Qin Fan’s easygoing, teasing words hung in the air, the young man’s voice suddenly carried over from the side garden. "Finish up and scram! The shop is only serving one cup per person today. Ten yuan a cup. Leave the money on the table!"
"Holy shit! This—this damn—" Feeling the sting of humiliation once again, Li Yunzhe’s face flushed as he slammed his hand on the table.
However, the young man in the garden paid him no mind. He had already said that, aside from the tables and chairs, everything else was for looking at, not touching. The implication was that he didn’t care about the tables and chairs either.
"Alright, stop putting on a tough act. The man has asked us to leave, so let’s not overstay our welcome." Standing up, Qin Fan pulled Li Yunzhe toward the exit.
I had originally planned to come here to reminisce a bit, but now it seems there’s no need for that. Before I figure out this young man’s background, the young lady must not come here! That’s a risk I dare not take. Even though my friends and I were safe here for years in my past life, that doesn’t mean the past is the same as the present. The butterfly effect from my rebirth has already been set in motion, altering the gears of the Heavenly Dao. Given the shopkeeper’s truly extraordinary aura, I can’t be sure there won’t be accidents or unforeseen events. Therefore, the young lady absolutely cannot know about this place.
It was a good thing that Ji Yi had been the one to drag him along back then, leading them to accidentally stumble upon this Qili Xiang Teahouse.
After Qin Fan and Li Yunzhe left the shop, the young man tending to the flowers in the garden hesitated for a moment before walking out. He glanced outside a few times, and after seeing that Qin Fan’s back was far in the distance, he frowned and pulled a cell phone from his pocket.
He then dialed a number that had no contact name saved.
"Speak!" After a few rings, a cold voice came from the other end.
"Master, I... I accidentally let my aura slip out just now," the young man said cautiously, panic written all over his face.
Hearing this, the person on the other end fell silent. This silence continuously tortured the young man’s mind, and the fear in his heart multiplied exponentially.
"Useless!" After a long moment, the voice, now even colder, spat out the word. "Who were they?"
"Two very young men. From the looks of them, probably still students. One was a brash hothead, but the other... I couldn’t see through him. And he was very strange. When my aura slipped out, the hothead trembled in fear, but the other one remained completely calm. Not only was he unaffected by my aura, but I think I even saw a playful smile on his face! Master, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. It was that hothead who—"
Before the young man could finish, the voice on the phone cut him off again. "Don’t explain. I don’t want to hear it. Describe what he looked like."
"He’s under twenty, about 175cm tall, with an oval face and extremely refined features. He’s a bit slender and possesses a dignified composure. I even tested him repeatedly by telling him to ’scram,’ but he didn’t get angry at all," the young man said quickly.
"Hmm?"
The coldness in the voice faded, replaced by an inquisitive hum. This change, however, only made the young man’s heart sink further.
A low, questioning voice sounded from the other end. "Under twenty, 175cm, refined looks, slender, and in Jinling... Able to remain calm under your aura and even look amused, yet not get angry when you told him to scram? How is that possible? If it were him, how could he possibly let something so minor slide?"
"Master, you know him? You know who he is?" Hearing this, the young man’s eyes shot wide open as he exclaimed in disbelief.
"I know him, but he shouldn’t know me. I’m sending you a photo right now. Tell me if it’s him."
The voice on the other end went silent. Less than ten seconds later, his phone buzzed.
The young man, still on the call, immediately opened the message. Upon seeing the photo of Qin Fan, he looked as if he had been struck by lightning.
"It’s him!"
"Shut down that damn milk tea shop of yours immediately! Then disappear from the Human World without a trace. The day I finally have to face him is inevitable, but I don’t want that day to come any sooner than it has to. Your aura reveal could disrupt my plans. I don’t want any accidents or ’what-ifs’. So, retreat! Disappear!" the voice on the other end commanded with a grave seriousness.
Sensing the rare solemnity from his master, the young man’s heart shook violently. "Yes, Master!" he replied in a rush.
