Chapter 665: 664. Uninvited (2)

Caelthir and Isyrrha flew for days till they reached the human kingdom where the youngest Dragon was. Isyrrha was visibly apprehensive while Caelthir was mildly curious.

Caelthir didn’t have any intention of starting any fight but he wouldn’t stop one either, he was hoping to get a good show. When he had brushed over the youngest Dragon, he had sensed that they by no means were weak.

The two flew high up in the clouds until they reached watching the human made structures. Isyrrha who was hibernating for so long was surprised to see how much the world had changed. But then again, it had been centuries since the War had happened and she knew the mortal species had one thing that they were good at. Moving on and rebuilding their lives.

She couldn’t blame them though, their existence was fleeting and they didn’t have enough time to linger on past when time slipped by quickly. It were the race like hers, Dragons who were cursed with carrying the wounds for long enough.

She flew over the human kingdom trying to locate her Kin Aeltharos. After a while she managed to locate it.

She suppressed her happiness as she was going to see her most liked Kin in a long time. She flew over in the direction with Caelthir behind her.

Suddenly Caelthir stopped and Isyrrha turned to him.

"What’s wrong?" She asked.

Caelthir looked at the hills in the eastern direction of the territory and then tilted his head with a curious expression.

"Don’t you sense it?" He asked.

"I sense Kin Aeltharos, let’s go to him." She snapped instead and he clicked his tongue.

"That’s not it," he said and then pointed at the hills with his folding fan.

"There’s a barrier of some sorts over there... And considering how close it is to that human’s territory... I’m curious to see what they’re hiding there."

Isyrrha scowled at him, "We don’t have time."

"We have plenty of time." Caelthir shrugged. "Besides, if we go there we might find something interesting, moreover, Aeltharos might just come himself."

Isyrrha kept scowling at him, not liking his idea.

"Then you can go and satisfy your curiosity, I’ll go see Aeltharos." She said but before she could leave, Caelthir narrowed his eyes making the air around her to swirl in a way that her wings felt unstable.

She glared at Caelthir.

"Come with me." He spoke firmly making her almost lash out on him but then she felt it.

She felt Aeltharos’s Mana Presence approaching them.

"See?" Caelthir said with a smirk, "I told you, he’ll come to us himself."

Isyrrha sighed and the two started descending towards the hills where the mana barrier stood.

The two had only reached a few hundred meters above the hills when theu felt the strong pressure over them as a figure came shooting towards them.

The two Dragons stopped, Isyrrha watched with barely concealed eagerness as the figure stopped but her happiness and eagerness was washed away when she didn’t see Aeltharos.

The figures that had arrived was unmistakably another Dragon, and moreover, he carried a human woman who was an Aura user. Her aura eas hostile against their mana. Isyrrha’s ruined mood amplified her Dragon’s Presence and the human woman choked but it didn’t last more than a few seconds as she calmed down instantly, being enveloped in the mana of the young Dragon.

The young Dragon themselves were wrapped in an illusion and it irritated her even more.

The young Dragon’s aqua blue hair flowed around them along with their long black coat wearing some mana devices.

"Who are you?" Isyrrha demanded.

The young Dragon remained silent and Isyrrha was starting to get even more annoyed as both of the Supreme Dragons’ combined Presence was having no effect on this weak Dragon.

"I asked you a damn question!" She shouted and the mana wave reverberated in the surroundings but it didn’t affect the young Dragon.

"I’m the Scion of Supreme Aqua Dragon. May I ask why you two Supreme Dragons are here? And why were you headed to those hills?" He asked in an even tone.

"Supreme Dragons?!" The human woman gasped and the masked Dragon looked down at her.

Caelthir smirked finding this entertaining while Isyrrha frowned, "You think you are anywhere near worthy of asking us questions?"

The young Dragon glanced at her for a brief moment before he looked back at the human woman.

"My Lady, please go down and looked after Eldarf, I’ll handle this." The young Dragon spoke and the human woman frowned.

"What-"

"You can’t do anything against them. So, please."

Isyrrha scoffed, "Are you even a Dragon? You’re being quite courteous towards a human."

The young Dragon didn’t say anything but then Isyrrha watched in surprise as the young Dragon let go of the woman and instead of falling straight down to her death, she floated gracefully in the air as if suspended by invisible strings. Isyrrha could see the mana enveloping the woman but it wasn’t of Aeltharos. Moreover, now that she looked at this Dragon, she could see that he wasn’t a complete Dragon, he still had human blood and some more mana forms merged with Aeltharos’s Mana.

The young Dragon didn’t pay any heed to the older ones as he watched the human woman descending.

When he was sure she was safely landed, he turned his attention back to the two Dragons.

"Why are you two here?" He asked, sounding oddly irated.

Isyrrha was triggered by the tone and she instantly launched several large icicles at him. But before the icicles could reach anywhere near the young Dragon they were crushed into smithereens.

Isyrrha was even more angry at that and she created another large number of icicles and shot at the Dragon. But the same thing happened.

She was so focused on him that she didn’t even realise when the crushed ice crystals were turned to surround her and Caelthir. It was Caelthir who noticed it first.

"I’ll request you two to please hold back, there are a lot of innocent lives around." The young Dragon spoke while calmly crushing Isyrrha’s attacks. Caelthir knew she was holding back a great deal but she wasn’t thinking and the young Dragon was slowly building the sharp barrier around them and was probably waiting to impale then with the same shards that Isyrrha was trying to hurt them with.

"Like I care." She spoke and Caelthir frowned as he sensed the young Dragon’s mana swirled a little. His Presence wasn’t strong before their but there was something that made Caelthir feel as if they shouldn’t push this young Dragon.

Moreover, he was feeling the unmistakable sense the presence of another Dragon and he couldn’t understand why that presence was here.

Isyrrha was close to losing it when Caelthir realised that he would have to step in or she would destroy this kingdom.

"Isyrrha, calm down." He spoke.

"Attack him!" She shouted back instead making him roll his eyes.

"Are you really trying to kill our new youngest?" He asked and then glanced at the young Dragon who didn’t even seem fazed by facing two Supreme Dragons.

"Besides, you’ll disappoint Aeltharos by trying to kill his scion."

Isyrrha stopped at that, she was close to summoning a whole blizzard. She glared at the young Dragon who hovered before them with a neutral face.

Isyrrha took time to calm down and Caelthir noted as how the young Dragon’s mana slowly ebbed out of him reaching down till the hills.

"Master! Master, are you there?!" Caelthir watched the young Dragon where the sound just came from.

The young Dragon didn’t move his eyes from the two as he spoke in a calm voice.

"I’m here, everything is fine, stay with Lady Dahlia and don’t approach."

Isyrrha frowned while Caelthir asked, "What was that?"

The young Dragon glanced at him, but instead of answering he asked, "If you are here to pick fight let’s head to some other place."

Caelthis snorted then smiled, "We’re not here to fight you, at least I’m not. We’re here to see our Kin."

"Kin?" The young Dragon asked.

"Yes, our Kin Aeltharos." Isyrrha affirmed.

The young Dragon appeared puzzled, "I’m afraid I don’t..."

"You’re his scion you don’t even know his name?" Caelthir chuckled.

The young Dragon then appeared to be a thoughtful before he looked at them.

"You’re here to see my predecessor." He spoke.

"Yes." Isyrrha said crossing her arms at her chest.

The young Dragon was quiet for a moment and then glanced at the kingdom below before he looked back at the Dragons.

"Let’s head to another place." He said.

"Why?" Isyrrha asked.

"I’m afraid you will destroy this place." The young Dragon spoke bluntly.

Isyrrha grew antsy hearing that, "Hey, you-"

Caelthir placed his hand over her shoulder, "Now, now, Isy, they’re right. You had already began attacking right away."

"That’s because I don’t like him." She sneered.

"Let’s go." He said and then glanced at the young Dragon.

"Head north please." The young Dragon spoke making the two Dragons turn and fly over.

The young Dragon remained behind for a few seconds and held the hem of his lapel before putting his mouth close to it.

Caelthir used the wind to listen to what the young Dragon was speaking.

"Lyall, keep Kai at home and if there’s any danger, you know what to do."

"What do you mean, Master?"

"I’ll be back in a while. Send Enora to Eldarf, Lady Dahlia is there with kids. Also, bring Sol home with you."

Caelthir didn’t understand why the young Dragon was speaking as though it was his last message but he was slightly suspicious. He couldn’t sense Aeltharos anywhere apart from his essence pulsing within this young Dragon. Moreover, this young Dragon seemed to carry more than one mana essence within them.

They could have invited them to sit down and talk but considering they are leading them away from human civilization meant that they had some bad news. Something that might be catastrophic enough for them to warn their people.

Caelthir wondered what it could be... And whether it was related to the presence that he had been feeling since quite some time. He glanced at the hills below where the presence was weakly resonating and then back at the young Dragon who had started following them.

Something was up.
