Before he went to fight the golden divine being, he had 35 years of lifespan left. He spent 6 years of that on Rusty and another 18 years while fighting the golden divine being. So he had spent a total of 24 years of his lifespan on that ambush.

The total amount of lifespan that he had left after that fight was 11 years. Then he had gained an extra 316 years’ worth of lifespan. This put his total at 327 years of lifespan.

Yet, when he reversed time, all of that lifespan didn’t come back with him. It was as if he had lost them along the River of Time.

This loss made him gnash his teeth in frustration. Then he spent 6 years of his lifespan changing how he looked.

He used the Nanite Metac to change his appearance into that of an ordinary human. This time, the power of his body didn’t increase. It remained at 6 units.

Loki wasn’t surprised by this and knew that it was because the Nanite Metac wasn’t strong enough to raise the power of his body beyond 6 units.

This made him say, ’Note to self, find a way to improve the rank of Metacs. Fenrir should be able to help me do that now with the Power Shifting Ability, but I wonder how other divine beings do it.’

As he said this, he had Muni take him to register. Then he proceeded with the plan he used in the previous timeline.

Since the plan worked well without a hitch, he felt no need to change it. So he converted Rusty into his golem and used the golem to bait the golden divine being. Then, when the golden divine being came, he proceeded to kill them.

After he killed the golden divine being, he took their Divine Metac for themselves. With the Gold Body Metac, he took the Divine Position. Then he devoured the Divine Position and returned to the past.

As soon as he returned, he checked the state of his existence using the Power Identification Ability. This time, there were no changes.

Just to be sure, he repeated the whole process. Since there was no more consumption of lifespan when he reversed time, he had no reason to hold back in order to confirm a hypothesis.

It was after the third that he devoured a Divine Position and experienced no changes that he accepted that devouring that same Divine Position was no longer useful to him. As for how devouring other Divine Positions would turn out, he was eager to give it a try.

Right now, he has three feasible methods to create a Divine Position. One of those methods is through a certain information broker. Since he had a lot of information that he wanted to know, he decided to meet the information broker.

But first, he still went to hunt the golden divine being. This was partly because of the free and unlimited internal energy that he could get from the Divine Position. But the main reason he wanted to hunt the divine being was to earn lifespan and law fragments to use the infinite energy for.

He knew that he could also gain lifespan from mortals. And even though he could only gain 1 to 9 years’ worth of lifespan, depending on their rank of cultivation. But he planned to eat the city after he had eaten the golden divine being.

In this timeline, he planned to learn how to grow stronger by learning how to increase the size of the Cave Heaven, advance the rank of cultivation, and increase the rank of Metacs. This means that he will stay in this timeline for a very long time to come.

With this being the plan, he can’t run away after he becomes the new Monarch Gold Body. So he stood his ground and waited as the divine beings noticed the changes that had taken place with the Divine Position.

He also activated the Gold Body Metac and let it change his body. This way, he can use money to heal his injuries and not only his lifespan. But the main reason he used the Gold Body Divine Metac was to avoid the fact that he had other Divine Metacs that could affect the body.

After he activated the Gold Body Divine Metac, he thought to himself, saying, ’Since I need money to heal now, I need to make a lot of money. Which means I have to pay all of my debts to the sect for wreaking so much havoc on their city.’

Then he chuckled and said to himself, ’I wonder how much the sect will ask me to pay for eating a whole city of people, including the sect grounds. As long as it is not as expensive as the heart of a world, I should be able to afford it.’

While he was thinking about the consequences of eating the people down below in the city, divine beings had appeared and had begun to investigate what had happened.

One of them said in a surprised voice, "Heh? Someone died? Who died?"

Another person said, "It is Golden Body. This place reeks of his slimy merchant aura."

Then a third voice said, "It has been a long time since one of us died. Who killed him?"

A fourth voice said it with certainty, "His death must have something to do with his replacement."

This made someone else laugh and say, "Of course it must have something to do with the replacement. Poor Gold Body wasn’t dead for two seconds before he was replaced. It is as if the person who replaced him knew that he was going to die soon."

These divine beings were joking. They knew that Gold Divine Body’s was probably orchestrated by his replacement or someone supporting the replacement. But they were not concerned about it.

They were so unconcerned about Gold Body’s death that they didn’t bother to use some of their lifespan to check how everything had happened. They were content with having fun and jesting about the situation.
