Auric looked at his status with a smile on his face. "It’s time."

Just like anyone else, Auric needed to maintain his element at 100% if he wanted to evolve smoothly. However, thanks to his own perception and gathering technique, it was an easy job for Auric to reach 100%, not more, not less.

In that instant, Auric tossed the artifact away and closed his eyes. There was no avatar to summon, so he had been wondering what kind of change would occur in his body.

He wouldn’t have any evolution in his avatar, so could his element really evolve?

The answer soon came. Once he started circulating his lightning element, he realized that this element was causing sparks.

"!!!" Auric widened his eyes. There was no avatar to evolve, so the most noticeable thing would be the eruption of his element.

This violent eruption made his element unstable, but it was nothing he couldn’t handle.

"Hmm?" Auric’s eyebrows twitched. Because he had multiple elements, he realized that all of them sparked at the same time, causing an unstable eruption that wouldn’t occur normally.

Lindwurm also noticed it. Normally, people would be able to evolve without any problems if they reached the perfect number.

Unfortunately, the lightnings seemed to be fighting each other, trying to get the better of each other.

Lindwurm warned, "Focus. Isolate all of them, but remember to let the element change the energy into a higher form of elemental energy. Then, use that energy to baptize the element to let it evolve."

Auric took a deep breath. He was fully focused. He had already identified the problems, but it looked like Lindwurm was one step ahead of him in finding the solution.

Auric immediately used the Extreme Bridge Management to first isolate the four lightning elements.

In his heart, there was a vacuum. This vacuum had been filled with nine systems, similar to a solar system.

There was one big ’sun,’ which represented the elemental energy for each system. Several smaller spheres orbited their respective ’suns.’

Each system represented one element. Thus, Auric first isolated the four spheres orbiting the giant magical energy. Then, he created a channel to direct their power to the magical energy.

He carefully used their ferocity to turn the magical energy into its new form.

Now that there was a barrier that separated them, each individual lightning element didn’t attack the other lightning elements.

Auric could feel his body gradually calming down. Normally, this process would be handled directly by the avatar. The avatar would upgrade the magical energy, and the magical energy would then baptize the avatar.

Since there was no avatar, Auric had to use the barrier as a medium or a replacement for the avatar.

Once he was done, he first had to close the channel, isolating both the elemental energy and the elements.

After that, he waited for a moment to let the energy complete its evolution. Once he could feel the energy increasing in intensity, Auric paid very close attention because he had to reopen the channel the moment it stopped increasing.

He couldn’t afford to have the energy explode and shatter his barrier or even disrupt the entire system that oversaw all his elements.

Fortunately, Auric succeeded. The energy gradually flowed into the four chambers. The elements from inside the chambers struck back at first, but due to the increase in the elemental energy intensity, the elemental energy overpowered the elements and enveloped them.

With the elemental energy’s power, the elements grew fiercer as well. Fortunately, he didn’t fail.

Both the elemental energy and the elements had fully transformed. After making sure nothing had gone wrong, Auric retracted his power, allowing the elemental energy and the elements to establish their new connections.

As soon as this new connection was formed, the elemental energy spread all over his body. Like Axel, it was washing away things that were stuck in his body, but because there was no such thing in Auric’s body, it just made Auric feel extremely refreshed.

However, there was one thing that he noticed. His eyes felt like they were burning. It was uncomfortable, but it wasn’t painful.

"Something is going on with my eyes..." Auric muttered, observing the situation carefully.

Luckily, the pain quickly disappeared. "They’re fine now."

Lindwurm let out a breath of relief. "Good. It looks like you’ve successfully evolved. How do you feel?"

"I can feel my power getting stronger. I feel refreshed, but otherwise, I don’t feel anything else." Auric shook his head. "I don’t see anything different. It’s weird. Something happened to my eyes earlier, but..."

Auric didn’t understand what was going on.

"Nevertheless, I’ve evolved. I can figure out what it is later." Auric smiled. He looked down and raised his fist. He had won, so he felt excited.

However, the moment he smiled, his eyes narrowed slightly, causing his vision to focus a bit more.

The moment the focus in his eyes changed, Auric’s vision abruptly changed. His hand suddenly became see-through. He could see the energy flowing into his hand, then to his fist.

The energy concentrated in the area of contact as though it were sticking to the muscles that moved from the clenching motion.

"!!!" Auric widened his eyes in surprise. "What?"

"What?" Lindwurm was confused.

Auric didn’t reply. Instead, he looked at his other fist and squinted slightly. As expected, he could see through his other hand. No, his vision had become even more controlled so that he could see the energy in his legs as well.

"This is..." Auric gasped. He hurriedly turned to Lindwurm to see what he was made of.

Unfortunately, nothing changed for Lindwurm. It was as if Lindwurm had done something to prevent him from being seen through.

Maya’s eyebrows twitched. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing. I’m just thinking that you have a big heart," Auric said in a serious tone. He was talking about the energy concentrated in her heart. Auric had checked his own heart earlier, so he knew that the energy for the lightning element was bigger than the others.

However, the size only increased by 33%. It was nothing compared to the size of the energy within Maya’s body.

Sadly, he forgot the fact that the other party didn’t know what he was talking about.

The moment she heard his words, she couldn’t help but misunderstand and pinch Auric’s ear. "You... Do you think I won’t punish you just because you are my student? You even dare to flirt with your teacher? I know my chest is big, but is that something you have to tell your teacher?"

"Do what?" Maya frowned.

"Four."

"..." Maya’s eyebrows twitched. It looked like this new sensitivity was the real deal. "How did you do that..."

"The energy told me." Auric shrugged as if it were the natural thing.

"You can speak with the energy now?"

"Not speaking. The energy is more honest to the point where you can just see what they’re up to by looking at their actions." Auric smiled. "For example, the energy is telling me that you’re about to move your arm back to the original position."

"..." Maya was speechless because she had done exactly that right after he said those words. "Maybe it’s a future vision. You have the time element now, right?"

"I haven’t even checked the bag yet."

Maya paused for a moment. "Okay, then. What am I going to do next?"

"What? You are still going to do this?"

"Why not? It looks fun."
