The Divine Doctor And A Common Farmer
Chapter 1800 - 1887: Betrayal Is Betrayal
When the Great Commander killed, her actions were swift and efficient. Suddenly, inside the room, several fresh, warm corpses appeared.
The bodies lay scattered on the ground. Blood splattered everywhere, making the scene exceptionally gruesome.
The Great Commander glanced around at everyone, sneering as she said, "I know that among you, some remain loyal to Your Majesty, but there are others—whether for profit, money, or something else—who have betrayed. No matter the reason, betrayal is betrayal. You thought you hid well, but rest assured, Her Majesty and I will root you out. Such vermin no longer deserve to wear the black clothes that symbolize service to Your Majesty!!"
Things previously understood but never spoken of publicly were revealed today before everyone.
After finishing her words, the Great Commander dashed toward Jiang Feng, who was bound tightly.
Cold sweat dripped from Jiang Feng’s forehead. He understood. He realized it was a trap.
He was merely a means to an end; the true purpose of the Empress and the Great Commander was to weed out traitors from the ranks.
Jiang Feng’s mind was in chaos, and just then, the Great Commander was already closing in on him. She kicked out, landing a blow on the back of Jiang Feng’s knee, causing him to collapse heavily onto the ground.
"Someone, hold him down!!" The Great Commander ordered, and immediately, two Hidden Guards pinned Jiang Feng’s shoulders, pressing him to the ground.
Jiang Feng faced upward; even after being subdued, he remained unwilling. He struggled desperately but could not break free from the grip of the two Hidden Guards.
The Great Commander extended her hand to the side, and someone handed her a wooden stick.
Holding the stick, she grabbed Jiang Feng’s ankle, swung the stick toward his knee, and struck down fiercely.
Crack!! 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The sound of bones snapping echoed, and in an instant, a blood-curdling scream escaped from Jiang Feng’s mouth.
The pain was excruciating, and cold sweat drenched his body; due to the agony, his face turned pale as a sheet, bloodless, like a ghost.
"Liu Chunfeng——!!!"
Jiang Feng shouted the Great Commander’s name in anger, but the Great Commander remained unmoved. She grabbed his other leg and repeated the process!
Another cracking sound echoed, and this time, Jiang Feng could no longer scream. Only strange guttural noises came from his throat.
With venomous hatred, his triangular eyes glared fiercely at the Great Commander.
He was filled with extreme resentment but powerless to act; he only thought that his legs were ruined, and from now on, even if he could escape from the Empress, he would be crippled for life, confined to a wheelchair.
Yet even at this moment, Jiang Feng’s thoughts remained naive. He still fantasized about finding a way out, still hoped to escape from the hands of the Empress and the Great Commander, not realizing they considered him already dead. He would never escape!!
At this point, a small head popped in through the door.
"Oh dear, it’s so lively here with you and Your Majesty!?"
The person was none other than Dong Huiying!!
She glanced at Jiang Feng on the ground, then grinned as she looked at Her Majesty the Empress seated in the Taishi Chair and the Great Commander standing beside Jiang Feng with the wooden stick.
