Yun Ge stood with her hands on her hips like a teapot, glaring at Dong Huiying who had just sat up in bed hugging the quilt.

Dong Huiying was still somewhat drowsy, her exposed shoulders bearing some ambiguous love bites, evidence of the passionate ’hospitality’ she received from a man last night. But because of the late-night disturbance, it was almost dawn by the time she slept, making her appear a bit fatigued.

She groggily squinted her eyes at Yun Ge and asked, "What’s the matter? So early in the morning, what happened?"

Yun Ge’s fury surged once more. "Do you still remember before we came to Dongdi? You originally wanted to deal with that wretched Lao Ba first, but the Great Commander took on that task. But guess what happened? Although she had Huang Qi surround the Zhu family and temporarily imprisoned the Eighth Princess, she didn’t eradicate the root cause but instead arranged for someone to guard the Eighth Princess and keep her detained. What’s this about? What is she planning? I’m utterly baffled!!"

After Yun Ge finished her tirade, she plopped heavily onto the round stool, resting her elbow on the desk. Seeing the teapot on the table and feeling a bit parched, she poured herself a cup of cold tea and gulped it down in one angry swig.

Dong Huiying rubbed her eyes, then rustled around, grabbing clothes to drape over herself.

She fastened the belt around her waist and then, donned in white undergarments, got out of bed.

"Are you saying that Big Sister didn’t make a move against the Eighth Princess, but detained her instead?"

Yun Ge snorted with irritation, "I really don’t know which side she’s on! There’s a saying, strike while she’s down, and at a time like this, we shouldn’t show any mercy!! Has she forgotten all the terrible things Lao Ba did before? You should know that Ji Jiuhuang’s madness, and Her Majesty the Empress’s coma, are all Lao Ba’s doing!! Dong Huiying gave a dainty yawn. She saw a basin filled halfway with clean water, guessing in her heart that it was brought in by Shu Yu before she went out this morning.

She washed her face twice at the basin, then grabbed the towel draped over the basin stand and dried her face.

After washing her face, she felt much more refreshed and thus sat down opposite Yun Ge. "Now that you mention it, it reminds me of something."
