Chapter 147: End of Victor

Lucas’s expression turned equally savage.

Victor had killed Alejandro. He had hunted Dominic relentlessly, planted spies inside their gang, and nearly destroyed everything they had built.

Lucas had wanted this man dead for a long time.

The moment Victor charged at him, Lucas swung his fist hard.

Victor tilted his head and dodged it narrowly before counterattacking with a brutal punch to Lucas’s jaw.

Lucas’s head snapped sideways. Blood filled his mouth instantly. But he didn’t stop.

He wiped the blood away and attacked again.

The two men crashed into each other violently, fists flying across the room.

Victor grabbed Lucas by the collar and slammed him against the wall. The impact shook the room. Before Lucas could retaliate, Victor drove his knee hard into his stomach.

Lucas doubled over briefly.

Victor immediately caught his neck and tried to smash his head into the table.

But Lucas twisted away at the last second and elbowed Victor sharply in the throat.

Victor stumbled back, choking.

Lucas seized the opportunity. His fist crashed into Victor’s face once, twice, and thrice.

Victor’s lips split open. Blood dripped down his chin.

Lucas kicked him hard in the chest, sending him crashing over the sofa. For a moment, it looked like Lucas had gained the upper hand.

But Victor suddenly grabbed the broken bottle lying nearby and slashed at Lucas’s face.

Lucas narrowly avoided it, though the sharp glass sliced across his shoulder.

Victor immediately attacked again. This time, his fingers dug brutally into Lucas’s bullet wound.

"Ah," Lucas cried out hoarsely.

Pain exploded through his entire arm. His injury reopened instantly, blood soaking through his sleeve.

His body weakened momentarily. His vision blurred.

Victor saw the opening and punched him repeatedly.

"You think you can outsmart me?" he growled viciously. "I’ll rip you apart."

Lucas staggered backward under the brutal assault. Every strike sent agony shooting through his body. But his determination never wavered.

His eyes turned even colder. With a roar, he grabbed Victor’s arm and twisted it violently.

Victor cursed in pain.

Lucas then smashed his forehead against Victor’s nose.

Victor stumbled back as blood poured heavily from his nose.

Lucas attacked like a madman now. He punched Victor again and again, each strike fiercer than the last.

Victor fought back desperately, but his strength slowly began to give out.

Lucas’s rage had completely exploded. All the hatred he had buried for years surfaced at once.

"For Alejandro..." he growled, punching Victor across the face.

"For Dominic..." Another punch.

"For those you killed..." He punched again and again.

Victor’s face became swollen and bloodied beyond recognition. Finally, his body stopped resisting. He collapsed limply onto the floor.

Lucas remained above him, panting heavily, his fists still trembling with fury. Even then, he punched Victor twice more before finally stopping.

The room fell silent except for the gunfire outside.

Lucas collapsed onto the floor beside Victor’s lifeless body, breathing harshly.

Stephen, who had been hiding behind the sofa, slowly stood up.

Outside, bullets still rang through the building. Men screamed. But Stephen barely heard any of it.

His entire focus remained fixed on the gun lying near the sofa.

Slowly, carefully, he glanced at Lucas, who was exhausted, injured, and vulnerable.

Fury surged through Stephen’s chest. This was his chance.

He remembered the humiliation, the threats, and the fear Dominic’s people had forced upon him.

Hatred clouded his judgment. Quietly, he moved toward the gun and picked it up.

But Lucas immediately sensed the movement.

The moment he looked up, Stephen pointed the gun straight at him.

"Your game is over," Stephen thundered, his hands trembling slightly. "I’ll kill you."

Lucas instantly noticed the shaking in his grip.

"Don’t do anything stupid," he warned coldly. "Victor is dead. Your wife and daughter are safe now. But if you kill me, you’ll never see them again."

Stephen’s eyes turned bloodshot.

"You kidnapped them," he shouted. "You forced me to work for you."

His breathing became ragged. "And if Mathias finds out I helped you kill Victor, he’ll kill me too."

Then he suddenly smirked darkly. "But if I kill you instead, I’ll tell him you betrayed Victor. Then all the blame falls on you."

While Stephen spoke, Lucas’s fingers slowly reached behind his back.

There was still a knife hidden there.

"You don’t need to live under Mathias forever," Lucas said calmly, deliberately distracting him. "You have power, money, and connections. You are not beneath him."

Stephen faltered slightly.

Lucas noticed immediately and continued smoothly, "You deserve to lead the core team yourself. Dominic and I can support you. With us beside you, you could become the strongest among them all."

Stephen’s eyes flickered uncertainly. The temptation was obvious.

Deep down, all the core members resented Mathias.

He treated them like subordinates despite their power and wealth. If he could become the leader, he would show Mathias his place.

Lucas slowly began rising to his feet.

Stephen panicked instantly, thinking he was about to be attacked.

Bang

He fired instinctively.

Lucas dodged the bullet by barely an inch. At the same time, his hand flashed forward.

The knife flew straight through the air.

Thud

The blade buried itself deep into Stephen’s chest.

Stephen gasped violently. The gun slipped from his trembling fingers as he dropped to his knees.

Pain exploded through his body.

His eyes widened in horror as warm blood poured from his chest. Fear finally swallowed him whole.

"N-No..." he choked weakly.

Lucas walked toward him, fury blazing in his eyes. "You shouldn’t have betrayed us," he muttered coldly.

He grabbed the knife handle and ripped it out viciously.

Stephen cried out in agony. Blood sprayed across the floor.

But Lucas showed no mercy. He drove the knife back into Stephen’s chest even deeper than before.

"And traitors must die."

Then he stabbed him directly in the heart.

Stephen coughed up blood violently. His body trembled for a few seconds before collapsing lifelessly onto the floor.

Chaos had completely taken over the Blue Lagoon.

Gunfire echoed through every corner of the building. Broken glasses littered the floor. Tables were overturned. Blood stained the expensive carpets while terrified guests screamed and crawled for cover.

Lucas’s men had already taken down most of Victor’s people. But a few were still alive, fighting desperately for survival.

Bullets tore through the hall again. One man crashed against the wall and slid lifelessly to the floor. Another staggered back, clutching his chest, before collapsing near the stairs.

Inside the private room, Lucas had barely caught his breath after killing Stephen when the door burst open.

"Boss..."

Victor’s right-hand man stormed in with bloodshot eyes. The moment he saw Victor’s body lying motionless on the floor, rage exploded across his face.

"You bastard..." He instantly raised the gun at Lucas. "You killed them?"

Before Lucas could do anything, he fired.

Bang

Lucas reacted on instinct. He ducked and rolled across the floor just as the bullet tore through the air above him. Glass shattered behind him.

He grabbed the gun lying near Stephen’s body and fired back immediately.

Bang

The man dodged and threw himself behind the sofa.

Lucas crawled behind another sofa, breathing heavily. Sweat rolled down his temple. His injured arm throbbed violently.

"Lucas, you traitor," the man roared. "You betrayed us and killed the boss. I’ll kill you."

Lucas fired again.

"Your boss is already dead," he shot back coldly. "Your gang is finished. Surrender, and I’ll spare your life."

The man laughed mockingly.

"Surrender?" he sneered. "Think about how you’ll walk out alive first. Because I’m going to bury you here."

Bang...Bang

Both continued firing wildly from behind cover.

Soon, their bullets were gone.

For a second, neither moved. Then both stepped out at the same time.

The man lunged first.

Lucas blocked the punch aimed at his face, but the impact still sent pain shooting through his exhausted body. Before he could recover, another blow slammed into his stomach.

He staggered back.

The man attacked him relentlessly, fist after fist crashing onto him like a storm.

Lucas fought back fiercely despite his weakened condition. He elbowed the man’s jaw, then kicked his knee hard enough to make him stumble. But exhaustion was catching up quickly.

Victor had already drained most of his strength.

His vision blurred for a moment. That moment was enough.

The man rammed into him and tackled him to the floor.

His fingers locked tightly around Lucas’s throat.

Lucas’s eyes widened. He clawed at the man’s arm, trying to pry him away, but the grip only tightened further.

"You traitorous dog," the man growled viciously. "Die."

Lucas struggled for air. His chest burned. Darkness started creeping into his vision.

Desperately, his hand moved around the floor, searching for anything. Then his fingers hit a bottle.

He grabbed it and smashed it across the man’s face.

The bottle shattered instantly.

The man cried out and released him, both hands flying toward his bleeding face.

Lucas shoved him away violently and rolled aside, coughing harshly as air rushed back into his lungs.

"You... I’ll kill you," the man roared and charged again.

But this time, Lucas was ready.

The moment the man got close, Lucas kicked him straight in the chest.

The man stumbled backward.

Lucas lunged forward like a beast. His fist slammed into the man’s face again and again.

Blood splattered across the floor.

The man tried to retaliate, but Lucas grabbed the knife lying nearby and drove it into his stomach.

The man cried in agony.

Lucas stabbed him again and again until the man stopped moving. He crouched over him for a moment, breathing heavily. Blood dripped from the knife in his hand.

His entire body ached unbearably. Slowly, he rose to his feet and walked out of the room.

Outside, the scene looked like hell itself.

Dead bodies were scattered everywhere. Blood covered the floor. Smoke lingered in the air.

One of Lucas’s men hurried toward him.

"We killed all of them," he reported quickly. "But we also lost a few of our men."

For a moment, silence flickered in Lucas’s eyes. Then his expression turned cold again.

"Leave immediately," he ordered. "The authorities will arrive soon."

"Yes." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Within minutes, they disappeared from the Blue Lagoon.

But none of them noticed the person hiding near the broken corridor upstairs.

Bianca.

Her breathing quickened as she lowered the phone in her trembling hand. She had secretly recorded everything.

"So they were the ones behind all this chaos," she muttered. "I’ll hand this evidence to the authorities. They should be punished for their crimes."
