The CEO's Rose
Chapter 54: Shopping
Vivian’s POV
Fingers trembling ever so slightly, Vivian picked up a pair of jeans, she held them up to the light, decided she did not like the design, and moved on to another pair.
The task was ordinary enough, but what had led to it was not that at all,( at least for her).
The strangest thing in the world had happened, without even trying, she had lost a bit of weight around her middle. That was something that had never happened to her before. To her weight loss was slaving away at the gym, counting calories, and barely losing a few ounces at the end of it all.
Just having a few pounds magically disappear was amazing!
’Maybe it has to do with all of the sex that you have been having’. Ignoring the far too gleeful sounding voice, Vivian focused on the task at hand.
While her weight loss was great, especially health wise, it also introduced an issue that Vivian had never had to deal with before.
Her pants did not fit her right, and for once it was not because she had gotten too big for them.
Instead, they were sagging.
It had gotten to the point where she was worried that they would fall to her knees while she was out and about.
So there was only one thing for it, Vivian had to buy some new clothes.

Normally when it came to buying new things to wear.
Vivian did not have a great time at all.
Even though over the years she had switched to buying things online, she had never enjoyed it.
Missing the human connection that came with shopping in a physical store.
The babydoll that she had bought for herself had been the first piece of clothing that she had gotten from a physical store in many years.
Now, not even a month later, and Vivian was back in a brick and mortar place, going through jeans as she picked which one to buy for herself.
After trying on a few, she settled for a pair that not only fit her right, but were also comfortable enough that she could see herself going to work in them.
With her jeans chosen, Vivian should have been running to the cashier in order to pay and head home.
But she found herself lingering, her eyes going over all of the various clothes available.
...Maybe it would not hurt to just take a look.
***
Vivian now greatly regretted ever saying anything bad about Amy’s love for shopping?
It was fantastic!
There were so many new things to try. Dresses that went mid-thigh, either flaring or clinging to her curves. There were others that went all the way to her ankles, swishing like she was in a fairy tale as she moved. There were even those that were two dresses in one, all that she had to do was turn the garment inside out and voila, she was wearing something new.
She did not just stop at jeans and dresses though. For the first time in her life, Vivian felt like if she could have, she would have bought the whole store. There were skirts, shirts, coats, jackets, scarves, suits...so many things to choose from.
Each section that she passed by called to her, and Vivian felt the need to stop and take a few things. When she came to the underwear section, she almost chickened out, her newly found confidence failing her. But then the braver side of her took over and she added a few new and very racy pieces to her collection.
On her way to the cashier, she decided that she did not need the lingerie, and did a u-turn. Instead of putting them back, she found herself standing in front of the changing room mirror, holding them to her front and imagining how she would look in them.
So what if she did not need the lingerie, she wanted it. But that thought was cancelled out by a very reasonable one.
It wasn’t right to just buy things on a whim.
What if they ended up not looking good on her? What if she looked ridiculous?
Recalling what had happened, the first time that she’d worn her baby doll in front of an audience, Vivian’s face heated. She had thought that she looked ridiculous back then. But Ryan had taken one look at her, and had been unable to keep his hands to himself. She needed more of what he had given her that night.
Firmly putting the lingerie down, Vivian came to a decision, she would be buying them.
If they were ugly it would not matter, Ryan would take one look at her in them, and he would promptly take them off of her and get to work.
Feeling herself getting wet at just the thought of what the billionaire might do to her, Vivian blushed even harder, she was still blushing when she paid for her stuff and left the store. Walking out of the store with bags of clothing in each hand. Vivian felt as though she were floating.
It had been so long since she had treated herself in such a way that she had forgotten how good it felt. On a whim, she decided to go and get a massage.
Despite years of being too embarrassed of her own body to even think of doing such a thing, she did not hesitate to disrobe and let the skilled masseuse do her thing.
When the massage ended, Vivian felt relaxed in a way that she had not in a very long time.
She headed home feeling a sense of contentment that she had not expected at all when she had first gone out that day. With the way that the entire day was going so well, the superstitious part of her wanted to believe that it was a sign that something was about to go horribly wrong. Vivian resolutely ignored that doom-mongering thought, she chose instead to focus on positive things.
She’d had a good day, a spectacular day and that could only be a sign of even better things to come. There was just no way that anything could go wrong.
