The CEO's Rose
Chapter 43: Flowers
Vivian’s POV
Mind-blowing sex did wonders for the soul( it also did wonders for her pussy, but that was another topic altogether).
Despite not having seen Ryan in a few days. Their last time together had been so amazing that Vivian was still glowing. Amy kept giving her knowing looks, and even her fellow teachers had noticed. Just that morning she’d had three people approach her. All of them wanting to know what new product she was using. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Whatever it is, it is really doing wonders for your skin and your eyes are so clear. Can you please share with us?" Melanie had even gone as far as to go down on her knees and beg. Blushing fiercely, Vivian had had to come up with a lie on the spot.
"I have just been drinking more water," That was all she had told them, hastily walking away before they could question her more. Truly worried that if somebody pried just a little bit, she would immediately start shouting at the top of her lungs.
It’s dick! I have been getting a good dicking from Ryan Terrell. That is what has me looking so great after years of looking like road kill.
Now as Vivian looked after her class. Singing, dancing and helping them out when they got stuck, sometimes literally( some kids just loved tight spaces- at least until they couldn’t get out). She could not help but keep looking over at her desk.
The flower delivery guy had come in just as the lesson had started. So she had only been able to sign for the flowers. She had not yet gotten a chance to read the card. And she so badly wanted to.
As she sat around in a circle with her students, all of them taking turns to talk excitedly about things that had caught their interest. Vivian could not help but wonder what Ryan had written for her. Was it something naughty or was he just wishing her a good day?
The urge to take a little peek was so very strong, but Vivian held firm. Not going over to her desk unless it was absolutely necessary, and being sure not to touch the flowers. Through grit and determination she managed to hold on until the very last student was picked up by their parents. Little Micah waving her goodbye as his father took him away.
The moment that the door closed though, all professionalism left Vivian. She raced towards her desk, nearly falling over as she finally got her hands on the flowers. Sniffing them, she smiled softly and finally pulled out the card.
Opening it, her eyes skimmed over the text there and the smile faded from her lips. A dizzy spell overtaking her and forcing her to take a seat.
The flowers most definitely were not from Ryan. They were from her ex Bryce.

[Hey Piggy], the card read.
Two words, that was all that the man had written and that was all that it took to ruin Vivian’s good mood.
Once upon a time getting a gift from Bryce would have made her feel amazing. Receiving a card as well as flowers would have made her ecstatic.
But now staring at the words, Vivian could find no joy, only dread.
Every single time that they were together, Bryce always made sure to remind her that she was more flaws than anything else and yet he kept coming back. Who would want to be with somebody whom they saw as nothing more than a walking stretch mark? He was constantly making fun of her curves. Sometimes even going as far as to poke at her belly. With all of the things that he said and did, he should not have kept coming back.
They were broken up, he could go out into the world and find somebody worthy of him, and yet here he was sending her flowers. In the past, such a gesture would have made Vivian hopeful. Thinking that maybe this would be the last time. Maybe if she accepted his apology and took him back, this time things would be different.
But looking over at the gift, Vivian failed to see how things would change this time. She could find some place to put the flowers, water them until they died. She could keep the card until the writing faded, but that would change nothing.
They would just keep going round and round in circles. Not bothering to reread the simple script again. Vivian got to her feet and headed over to the trash can just behind the door. Opening it up, she threw the flowers and the card inside.
Then, thinking better of it, she reached into the bin and pulled out the card, tearing it to bits, before scattering the pieces all over the flowers the same way people threw soil on a coffin during funerals.

By some miracle, Vivian did not break down immediately after the little flower funeral that she’d held.
With strength she did not know she had, she held herself together, waved goodbye to her co-workers, got into her car and drove all the way to Amy’s apartment. It did not even occur to her, that the other woman might not be in until Amy wrenched the door open after Vivian had tried and failed to enter the correct key code for the second time in a row.
So glad that her friend was in, all that she could do was stand there and stare.
"Vivian, what is wrong?" Her friend asked. When she tried to answer, no words would come out. In the end, she walked right into Amy’s waiting arms. Bursting into tears the moment that the comforting touch settled around her. There was so much that she wanted to say, so many things she wanted to get off her chest. But no words would come. And so Vivian did the only thing she could, she cried and cried, hoping desperately that with each tear that fell, Bryce’s hold on her would loosen.
