The Ascension of Contracted Spirits
Chapter 1398: Afterword 2: Ancestral Star from Beyond_3
"However—" Mo’s tone shifted, "We have made a significant discovery!"
"Before we found the Ancestral Star, there were already travelers from other dimensions who had been here!"
Mo wrote a series of "speed" characters, and the long light path instantly reached its end.
Ye Hanjun widened his eyes; this was the closest point to the shattered Ancestral Star.
Gazing closely at the magnificent world fragments, swaying unconsciously, he felt an immense sense of being as small as dust, simultaneously nostalgic and real.
"Crack!"
Illusion extended an arm, infinitely stretching, suddenly reaching into the fragments to grab a smaller piece and forcefully pulling it out.
He had said, he possesses the ability to make things happen by will.
Yet it was an extremely arduous process, with divine light surging in the darkness, Mo, Pure, and other Ancient Nether Rulers lurking in the shadows all lending a hand, working together to help.
"Swoosh!"
The fragment was finally pulled out.
Its shape was somewhat like half a pillar, carved with many patterns; some supreme existence had once touched it with a palm, leaving marks on it.
"Shadow, you go."
Illusion handed the fragment to another dark figure.
The shadow wriggled, seemingly cloaked in darkness, but in fact, bursting with a myriad of bright colors.
"Huh~~~"
Ye Hanjun saw a scene that would be unforgettable forever.
It was a ruins, possibly once a palace or courtyard; even in collapse, it still retained about two to three-tenths of its majestic splendor.
There stood a group of beings with overwhelming presence.
The most striking was an immense divine ape, with a dragon’s horn on its head, eyes spitting searing flames, clad in dragon scales, every muscle bulging.
His shoulders could hold up the sky, his head could gaze level at the stars, with eight arms embracing, he could control the world; a single roar would cause thunder to roll, a second roar would shake the four corners.
There were also two Divine Angels, though with only twelve wings, seemingly less impressive at first glance.
But one bore glass wings, wielding a sword.
The sword’s hum echoed, seeming to shatter the sky.
The sword energy surged, a display of supreme arrogance.
The other was the ultimate embodiment of darkness and corruption.
No light could reflect off his body, any color approaching his domain would be annihilated.
He was so cold, frozen in the void, seeming to be the ruler of heaven and earth, the source of all evil.
GuaGua couldn’t help shivering, quickly looking past him to the next being.
The fourth was—a Bone Dragon!
Its dragon’s soul was brilliant gold, more dazzling than the rising sun, yet emanating a cold, netherly aura!
Beside it, the River of Reincarnation roared and surged.
Strange Undead Monarchs surrounded it without question, it was the absolute king, governed the Law of Death, the true God of the Undead!
The fifth was—a huge mantis!
Half of it was bright red, the other half dark blue, clutching scythes, standing in the depths of the void.
Thunder tribulation hung above its head, the Thunder Sea flowed beneath its feet, space around it collapsing, forming its own sovereign domain.
This was still not all, Ye Hanjun looked towards the sixth deity.
It was a tree, with six discs floating behind it: gold, charming purple, blood red, deep black, dark blue, and pale white, six colors.
Each represented a Law, combining to give the tree an unfathomable sense of depth, a being that must not be desecrated.
The seventh being stood upon Red Lotus Karma Fire, a Kylin.
The eighth bathed in the River of Time, seemingly a Goddess of the Witch Clan.
The ninth, with a beer belly, was a mouse.
The tenth was exceptionally small, curled into a stele shape, Ye Hanjun couldn’t discern it.
But the eleventh was very eye-catching, once GuaGua noticed it, his eyes widened, unable to look away.
It was a tiny rabbit, with eyes slightly white, tinted with a hint of rose gold.
It was extremely cute and very graceful, standing among a bunch of fierce beasts, adorably contrasting in style. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
More astonishing was that each time it blinked, the sky was filled with twinkling stars, such ultimate beauty, GuaGua was stupefied!
"Gurgle gurgle...who is this? Even more adorable than the ancestors!"
"Its voice is so sweet, chirping, it’s melting me!"
GuaGua puffed up his cheeks, both envious and curious.
"They are the contract lifeforms of the White Emperor, and in their world, they seem to be called ’Pet Beasts.’"
Illusion pointed to the image of a human man with his back to them, drinking tea, succinctly pointing out the core:
"That is the White Emperor."
"Although his appearance isn’t clear, there’s no doubt that leaving a mark here, his strength is supreme."
"We conducted a detailed investigation of the remaining clues, ultimately deducing that this person is likely a dimensional traveler who once came to the Ancestral Star, witnessed its fragmentation and decline, and then left again."
Pure nodded, a gentle smile in his eyes:
"Well, are you tempted?"
"Beyond the world there is the outer heaven, and the outer heaven is a broad term, referring to the collection of all dimensions."
"In times and spaces so far away that they are unimaginable, there are even Beast Taming civilizations like Fond Spirits and humans, and possibly many more, with countless possibilities."
"Son of the World, after you handle worldly affairs and sever worldly attachments, consider whether you want to join us in seeking a more magnificent, more splendid greater world."
"Becoming stronger is just the process, not the goal."
"We want to reach broader heavens, explore the unknown, understand mysteries, and perceive truth."
"This is what we so-called Ancient Nether Rulers are currently doing..."
...
Ye Hanjun remained silent for a long time.
Saying he didn’t yearn for it would be a lie, the description of such entirely different Beast Taming civilizations was indeed highly attractive.
However, the seed of faith had been planted, when it would sprout, that would be another story...
