The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife

In the evening, when Munni returned to Yisen’s hospital room, she found him with the TV on, but he was sitting on the bed in a daze.

"What are you thinking about, so lost in thought?"

When Munni spoke, Yisen snapped out of it, looking somewhat confused at Munni, who had appeared in the room without him noticing.

"Munni, when did you come back?"

"Just now."

As she spoke, she placed the dinner she was carrying on the coffee table.

Yisen craned his neck, watching as she took the dinner containers out of the bag one by one and placed them on the coffee table after opening the lids.

"I went home earlier and prepared a bit of dinner to bring over."

After she arranged the dinner, Munni pushed the wheelchair to Yisen’s bedside, helped him move from the bed to the wheelchair, and then wheeled him to the coffee table.

Yisen looked around at the sumptuous dinner on the table and gave Munni a thumbs up with a bright smile, "It looks delicious. Thank you for your hard work."

Munni handed the chopsticks to Yisen, chuckling softly, "Eat more, you’ve become so thin it’s heartbreaking."

Yisen had lost over ten pounds during his month-long coma, and his face had become noticeably smaller, which made Munni quite distressed.

During his recovery, Munni and Bai Wan Yun wanted to nourish him well, but since the doctor advised against heavy supplements at this time, they dared not give Yisen too many nourishing foods, providing only a limited amount daily.

However, Yisen still didn’t seem to have changed much.

"I’ve gained quite a bit recently, don’t worry," Yisen shrugged nonchalantly, not concerned about his weight.

Munni placed a piece of meat into his bowl and reminded him, "Eat some meat."

The meal passed in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

After eating, Munni read to Yisen for a while. When his dinner was mostly digested, she wheeled him to the bathroom to help him bathe and wash up.

As they left the bathroom, Yisen wanted Munni to stay over in his room again tonight.

The bodyguard stationed outside Yisen’s room gave Munni a slight bow of respect and then courteously opened the door for her.

Munni walked in but unexpectedly didn’t see Yisen in the hospital bed.

So she walked to the bathroom door and knocked gently, but after a moment, she got no response.

She reached out to open the bathroom door; the lights were on, but Yisen was not there either.

Munni hurried back into the room and noticed that the wheelchair seemed to be missing.

She opened the hospital room door, gave a cold glance at the bodyguards outside, and asked sternly, "Where is the chairman?"

"I... I don’t know."

Perhaps her imposing manner was too overwhelming, as one of the bodyguards seemed to shrink back a bit when answering.
