Chapter 28: Attribute Importance

They both returned to Blood Trial Outpost after their second hunting, and to the amazement of almost everyone, it was successful.

Master Norman was one of the people waiting for them to return, and when they did, he didn’t even bother to approach them. He only gave a nod that showed he had gotten some relief and left, and neither Roman nor Rena was interested in having a conversation with him at that point.

They both visited the restaurant and had a very good meal before parting ways, and Roman stated that he’d like to have some rest. Rena also stated that she needed it as well.

But when he headed back to his room, Roman didn’t go straight to sleep. He actually had some important things to do in mind, which could help him a lot in the next hunting missions.

Upon reaching his room, he locked his door and went straight to the BSP screen.

"Since I’ve been hunting, I haven’t checked my Mana stats on the BSP. I haven’t gotten time to check how many Attribute points I have accumulated so far. And most especially, I haven’t accessed the Souls in the Soul Bank."

He had to start from somewhere.

He went straight to the Skills stats, where one can locate the Mana record.

[Mana: Unlimited. (A privilege from the Legendary Blessing).]

"Is that why I can use my Profession Skills as long as I want?"

It just revealed that he had infinite mana, and no matter what skill he was using, he would be able to use them as long as he wanted!

This didn’t only make Roman amazed; he was terrified, because if it was like that, he could be unstoppable!

Not just having the ability to switch to different Professions, but the ability to use them at full efficiency.

That is... overpowered!

He soon switched to the Attribute stats to check the Attribute points accumulated, and well enough, this was one of the most interesting parts.

[Attribute Points: 37.]

[Attributes: STR: 3.0, AGI: 5.0, END: 1.5, PER: 6.0, INT: 1.5, CAR: 0.5.]

Getting up to thirty-seven Attribute points was good stuff, and Roman knew it could really help his combat performance at this stage if he allocated them wisely.

"I have thirty-seven to distribute, but I wouldn’t do that recklessly... I have to get it right so I won’t end up being a bag of waste," he muttered.

Roman’s attention landed on Strength at first, and of course, even a fool would know how important Strength is.

It affects overall physical power and the ability to carry and attack with great impactful force. If one has weak Strength, they are literally going nowhere.

Most Entrants often think that not having good Attributes wouldn’t affect them a lot, but they soon learn their lessons after engaging in life-threatening battles with high-ranked monsters like Extraordinaries and Epics.

When it comes to cases like the Alphas, Tyrants, or Apocalyptic Monsters, it even becomes a bigger factor to focus on.

Facing one of those nightmares would require massive physical and intellectual enhancements, as even a normal Extraordinary Monster can rival an Entrant with up to 100 or more Strength points.

Roman only had three, which meant that if he even got to encounter an Extraordinary Monster now... he’d die.

He took that factor seriously and decided to allocate 10 straight Attribute points into his Strength.

[STR: 3.0+10.0 » 13.0.]

The next moment, he only had twenty-seven Attribute points left, and Roman decided to drop five on Endurance.

[END: 1.5+5.0 » 6.5.]

Strength has to go with a lot of Endurance, and well enough, he understood that. He decided to drop five on it and spare twenty-two for the rest of the Attributes.

It was when Roman’s attention reached Intelligence that he smiled. He didn’t think much about it, as he went straight to doing what came to his mind.

[INT: 1.5+15.0 » 16.5.]

He bombarded a staggering amount of fifteen Attribute points into Intelligence without regret, knowing pretty well how it would help him.

Intelligence is the most important intellectual attribute that an Entrant has, and even though Perception was no minor factor when compared to it, it was still on top.

It helps one get through situations that require strategy, knowing how to do certain things that shouldn’t be done recklessly. A lot more than what would require normal human sense.

If he didn’t improve Intelligence, then he might as well continue being a fool, because it was understandable that every rookie in the Badlands is almost clueless.

It often leads to situations that might get them killed due to the fact that they hadn’t been able to execute the best plan or make the right decision.

Intelligence at 16.5? He was so comfortable with what he had done, and he was looking forward to the results... or maybe rewards.

He bit his lips when he realized that he had only seven Attribute points left, but he already knew what was more important for him.

"Two more points to Perception. Two to Agility, and three to Charisma," he decided.

At the end of everything, Perception amounted to eight, Agility reached seven, and the last was the Charisma attribute, which amounted to three and a half.

[Charisma: 3.5.]

Roman figured that Charisma wasn’t really that important at this point, as it mostly affected encounters with fellow humans. He could always get more Attribute points, so it wasn’t much of a problem.

For now, he had made sure the important ones were taken care of.

[Attributes: STR: 13.0, AGI: 7.0, END: 6.5, PER: 8.0, INT: 16.5, CAR: 3.5.]

This was how his entire Attribute stat looked after his calm and collected operation, and soon, he moved straight to the Talent stat.

"Okay... down to my favorite part."

With a soft tap on the Soul Bank panel, all the Souls he had added were revealed to him, with a seemingly holographic image of their structure displayed in mid-air.

[Soul of Soldier Blade Ant.]

[Soul of Blade Ant Queen.]

[Soul of Blue Goblin King.]

[Soul of Dire Wolf Alpha.]

Since he had expanded the Soul Slot to five allowances after reaching Level 10, he had been able to add another soul and still had one allowance left.

[Soul Slot: 4/5. (Reach Level 20 to expand Soul Slot).]

Roman thought for a moment and decided to let the Soldier Blade Ant go. Since it was a pretty weak soul, he figured he should remove it and make space for a stronger soul he might get before reaching Level 20.

"How do I get rid of a Soul?" he then asked the system.

[You can’t get rid of a Soul. The only way you can get one out is if it dies. Adding a soul to the Soul Bank is like an eternal contract.]

[Once a soul is collected, it’s uncollectible.]
