Synthetic Wizard
Chapter 304 - 191: The Transformation Plan
Dragon Remains Tower, study room.
Sunan was flipping through the battle report in his hand, a look of surprise flashing in his eyes.
In the report, Sherman mentioned that the Dark Elves had mastered a very powerful half-man half-spider monster, likely a Tier Four Legendary creature, or even stronger.
"A half-man half-spider monster?"
Sunan’s gaze flickered.
Such monsters are not uncommon in the underground world, as the mutated spider breed is indeed a major species therein.
However, none of them reach the Tier Four Legendary level.
Coupled with the characteristic upper body resembling a Dark Elf, a thought immediately surfaced in his mind.
Could it be a Spider-Elf?
Sunan’s expression turned somewhat serious.
Among the multiverse, there are countless Divine Spirits, and it’s difficult for anyone to remember them all.
Sunan could only remember the few most powerful ones, and some of the more distinct ones.
Such as the Spider Goddess Queen.
This is an evil Divine Spirit who commands assassination, darkness, and the law of spiders.
She is cruel and capricious, delighting in having her followers fight each other for power, using death, destruction, and torment to please herself.
Among the numerous Divine Spirits, the Spider Goddess Queen’s power isn’t considered strong, not even sufficient to rank mid-tier.
Sunan remembers this Divine Spirit because during the era of the Wizard’s Return many years later, some wizards allied together to crusade against her, and ended up grievously ambushed.
This incident stirred quite a commotion in the wizard circles.
The Spider Goddess Queen has many followers, including Demon-Hunting Spiders, Half-Spider Divine Favored, Ete Beasts, Soul-devouring Spiders, Phase Spiders, Demon-hunting Spiders, Wax Melting Demons, and Dark Elves.
Sunan remembered that one of the ’materials’ for creating Spider-Elves is Dark Elves.
The birth ceremony of Spider-Elves is wicked, involving mass slaughter of spiders in a manner akin to raising Gu, where the blood and soul of the defeated are wholly absorbed as nutrients by the victorious, ultimately deciding the sole victor who becomes a terrifying monster fused with countless spiders.
Then, by absorbing the flesh and soul of multiple Dark Elves, a Spider-Elf is born.
Spider-Elves born via this ceremony possess power exceeding Tier Four Legendary.
Though not yet reached Official Wizard level, four or five Spider-Elves working together might be able to contend with an Official Wizard in the current special environment of Starlight Continent.
"But why would there be Spider-Elves in Magic Spider City?" Sunan frowned in thought.
Being Divine Creatures, Spider-Elves can only be produced by the Spider Goddess Queen.
The ceremony only serves to create a vessel for the Spider-Elves; only the Spider Goddess Queen’s divine power can successfully mold a Spider-Elf.
"Could it be that the Spider Goddess Queen’s influence has already penetrated into the Starlight Continent?"
Sunan suddenly recalled that Magic Spider City seemed to have unified the southeastern region of the underground world around Starlight Calendar 1300.
When Sherman and the others encountered Dark Elves before, he had thought of this matter, wondering why the Dark Elves, known for internal conflict, suddenly abandoned their disputes to unite for external expansion.
If it’s the Spider Goddess Queen, then everything makes sense.
Only a directive from a Divine Spirit could suppress the self-interest of Dark Elf families, making them forsake their feud and unite.
Only support from a Divine Spirit could allow Magic Spider City, not particularly strong in power, to suddenly have the strength to unify the southeastern region.
What puzzled Sunan, however, was how the Spider Goddess Queen managed to penetrate her power into the Starlight Continent.
It should be known that the Starlight Continent has long been sealed by wizards working together, and unless a huge price is paid, the Spider Goddess Queen’s power shouldn’t be able to break through the seal.
After pondering for a while to no avail, Sunan shook his head and chose not to dwell on it.
Having already considered the Starlight Continent his private domain, whatever the Spider Goddess Queen is plotting, he won’t allow her to lay a finger on his possessions.
Anyway, the Spider Goddess Queen cannot descend personally, and as long as she’s not descending in person, Sunan is not afraid at all.
If she dares to reach in, he dares to cut off her hand.
After thinking for a moment, Sunan called in Carolina and instructed, "Deploy the Secret Puppets to Fire Hammer City to handle the Spider-Elves."
"Also, if you kill the Spider-Elf, bring the corpse over immediately."
In essence, Divine Creatures also belong to a kind of divinity creature, containing divine energy within, which naturally can’t be wasted.
Sunan had a vague idea in his mind.
If successful, he might gain another way to acquire divine energy.
Carolina quickly accepted the order and turned to arrange it.
Sunan had no intention to inform the people below about the Spider Goddess Queen.
The Starlight Continent hasn’t seen a Divine Spirit appear for many years, yet there are still many legends about Divine Spirits.
In the eyes of wizards, Divine Spirits are nothing more than a type of high-life form creature, valuable materials rich in experimental value.
But in the eyes of ordinary people, Divine Spirits are supreme beings that must not be desecrated or offended.
Letting the people below know about the Spider Goddess Queen would only cause unnecessary worry and panic.
After all, they don’t need to face the Spider-Elves, these Divine Creatures will naturally be resolved by the Secret Puppets.
Regaining his focus, Sunan set the front-line battle report aside and turned to the report from Starlight Academy.
The new batch of students has already enrolled in Starlight Academy, and so far everything is adapting well with no issues.
Currently, Starlight Academy has over eight hundred students.
