Wu Yue seemed to have an idea. She pinched off a small piece of the Sharp Horned Beast Egg and, after a moment’s hesitation, popped it into her mouth.

The next moment, her eyes widened. She looked in disbelief at the pale yellow thing in her hand.

"System, this can’t be what I think it is, can it?"

The System struggled out of the back basket, revealing only a small, fist-sized head. Its small, furry face was serious. "It is exactly what you think it is."

"No, I have to test it myself."

Then, with a fawning smile, she looked at Blue Fatty and said, "Hey, uh, how about making a fire for me?"

The System bristled. "You want to start a fire here?"

Wu Yue rubbed her hands together. "I really can’t wait to find out the answer. Quick, quick, quick!"

The System stealthily extended two small front paws. "Two points."

Wu Yue was particularly agreeable at the moment and immediately sealed the deal. "No problem. Just control the size of the flame, okay?"

Having earned two small points, the System was in an excellent mood and nodded enthusiastically. "But of course! You can count on me."

Hearing this, Wu Yue looked at the Little Commander with anticipation, but the little guy said with a look of disdain, "Hurry up and find some firewood. Otherwise, if a tribe member sees a flame burning on its own, are you really going to say it’s a new ability you’ve awakened?"

Wu Yue laughed awkwardly. "Heh heh, one moment, one moment."

With that, she quickly gathered some dry branches, also bringing back a stone slab she had washed clean.

She gathered a few stones to build a simple little stove. After the System lit the fire, she placed the stone slab on top.

The water on the stone slab quickly evaporated. Wu Yue pinched off a piece of the Sharp Horned Beast Egg, flattened it into a thin sheet, and placed it on the slab.

In just a moment, the pale yellow Sharp Horned Beast Egg began to emit a familiar fragrance, and its color deepened as well.

She carefully bit off a small piece. A familiar, toasty fragrance filled her mouth, tinged with a hint of sweetness. It was delicious—a completely different texture from eating it raw.

Wu Yue looked at the pale yellow mass in the back basket, her eyes instantly lighting up.

’Heh heh, I’ve found flour...’

’With this flour, what food problems will I have to worry about?’

’The food I can make with flour...’

’Steamed buns, dumplings, noodles... SLURP...’

At her side, Blue Fatty looked down at its fur, soaked by a certain someone’s drool, and felt utterly disgusted.

Placing all the flatbreads into the back basket, Wu Yue picked up Blue Fatty and stroked its messy head. "There, there. I’ll give you two pieces of Rock Ore when we get back."

The System huffed. "Am I the kind of System who would lower its noble head for mere Rock Ore?"

Wu Yue chuckled and held up four fingers. "Four pieces, then. That’s my final offer."

The System’s eyes lit up, and a telltale glint of drool appeared at the corner of its mouth. "Emma~ Now that’s what I’m talking about!"

Wu Yue’s mouth twitched. ’So where exactly does that nobility of yours reside?’

The System harrumphed, as if to say it was noble in every way.

By the time the human and the System returned to the Collection Team with the freshly made flatbreads, the females of the team had already started to rest and eat.

But most of them were holding balls of wild vegetables. Only a few from better-off families were eating fist-sized pieces of meat, attracting the envious gazes of the others.

So, when Wu Yue arrived carrying a back basket of irresistibly fragrant flatbreads, the other females first twitched their noses without thinking, then stared at her with sparkling eyes.

Grandma Hua Shu was the first to shuffle over. "Yue, what food did you bring today? Why does it smell so good?"

Wu Yue grinned, taking off the back basket. "It’s something I just made. I was about to bring it over for everyone to try."

With that, she took out the flatbreads, which were carefully wrapped in large leaves, from the basket. "I made them kind of small, but there should be enough for everyone to have one."

The System grumbled to the side. ’There’s only enough because *I* had to go back and haul over a few more Sharp Horned Beast Eggs.’

When the surrounding females heard there was some for them too, they immediately swarmed over. The main reason was that the smell from before had just been too wonderful.
