Survival of the Nation: I Can Specify the Items That Will Drop
Chapter 100: The World’s Number One Town (Part 2)
"Am I seeing things??? Is this the same broken village from just now???"
"A twenty-meter city wall??? White quality??? Is this something a town-level territory is supposed to have???"
"Blue city gates??? Did I enter the wrong livestream???"
"Twelve arrow towers??? And they're intermediate level??? My family's town-level territory only has five basic arrow towers!!!"
"Residential areas, commercial areas, workshop areas, military areas—it has them all??? This planning is more complete than my home county!!!"
"Ten minutes! Just ten minutes! In the time it took me to go to the bathroom, the village turned into a city???"
"Brother upstairs, I went to the bathroom too!!! I missed it as well!!!"
"I don't believe it! This definitely used a gold-tier item!"
"A gold-tier item? What kind of gold-tier item can directly turn a village-level territory into this?"
"A Territory Migration Card! I've read legends on the forums; there's a gold-tier item that can migrate an entire territory to another place!"
"Even migration wouldn't just conjure up a city wall, would it??? Where did this city wall come from???"
"The former site of Qingshi County... I checked the map; this place was originally a destroyed county-level territory! There were existing walls!"
"Holy crap! So this Lord Lin migrated the entire territory to the Qingshi County Ruins, and then the ruins' walls were repaired?!"
"Even with repairs, they shouldn't be this complete, right??? All twelve arrow towers are fully fixed???"
"Regardless, this Beacon Fire Town is definitely the number one town in Great Xia! No, the number one town in the world!"
"How can you even compare? A twenty-meter white wall is the maximum height for a county-level territory! They have it at the town-level!"
"Blue city gates, intermediate arrow towers, complete urban planning... even county-level territories might not have this setup!"
"The world's number one town! It truly deserves the name!"
Chen Hao looked at the screen full of crazily scrolling comments, feeling completely stunned.
The world's number one town.
He slowly sat up straight and looked back at the city on the screen.
Under the moonlight, the twenty-meter-high city walls stood silently. The four blue city gates shimmered faintly in the night, and the twelve arrow towers guarded this newborn territory like silent sentinels.
Inside the city, lights dotted the residential area; those # Nоvеlight # were the newly arrived Refugees adapting to their new home.
The chimneys in the workshop area weren't smoking yet, but by tomorrow, the clanging of blacksmithing would ring out once more.
The drill grounds in the military area were empty, but they would soon be filled with training soldiers.
And at the center of the city, the deep blue flag fluttered loudly in the night wind.
Chen Hao suddenly smiled. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
He picked up his cold coffee and raised his cup toward the screen from afar.
"Lord Lin..." he whispered, "Badass."
Then, he downed the cold coffee in one gulp, slumped back onto the sofa, and began crazily scrolling through the comments again.
Crescent Moon Territory, Council Hall.
The candlelight was bright, illuminating this recently established town-level territory core with a brilliant glow.
Jiang Zhaoyue sat in the main seat. Her form-fitting silver-and-blue armor shimmered softly under the candlelight, and a crimson cloak was draped casually over the back of her chair.
She leaned slightly to the side, resting her chin on her right hand. Her gaze swept over the people lined up on both sides of the hall, a satisfied smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
"Everyone performed very well during today's Level 2 Nightmare Tide."
Her voice was cool yet gentle as it echoed through the hall. "Zero casualties, and the entire invading enemy force was annihilated. This was the first tough battle since the founding of Crescent Moon Territory; you did not disappoint me."
The people in the hall broke into smiles, and some even cheered softly.
A burly, resolute-looking middle-aged man stepped forward, cupped his fists, and said, "Guild Leader, we owe these zero casualties to your excellent command! That spear light directly one-shot the Centurion, which greatly boosted the brothers' morale!"
Another lean young man also laughed. "Exactly! The Guild Leader's strike pinned that elite monster to the rock wall from fifty meters away—I'll never forget it for the rest of my life!"
Jiang Zhaoyue shook her head slightly, her tone remaining calm. "It wasn't just my credit. The shield wall held the frontal assault, the archers suppressed the enemy's ranged units, and the assassins cut off the backline support. Everyone did their best in their respective positions."
She paused and raised her hand to gesture to the bookkeeper standing to the side.
He was a white-haired elder wearing a faded grey cloth robe, holding a thick ledger. Seeing Jiang Zhaoyue's signal, he stepped forward, opened the ledger, and announced loudly:
"The loot statistics for this Nightmare Tide are as follows—"
"Grey energy crystals: two hundred and eighty-seven."
"White energy crystals: thirteen."
"Green quality equipment: four pieces."
"Various materials: several."
"Based on the contribution point rules established by the Guild Leader, the contribution points for this battle have been calculated and will be distributed to everyone's accounts shortly. You may use these points to exchange for necessary supplies in the guild warehouse."
Upon hearing this, the smiles on everyone's faces became even more genuine. contribution points were tangible benefits—weapons, armor, crystals, medicine, and even Class Change Books could be exchanged for points.
"Alright." Jiang Zhaoyue stood up. "Everyone worked hard today; go back and get some good rest."
"Starting tomorrow, continue leveling and construction. Our goal is to reach a level capable of withstanding a Level 3 Nightmare Tide within three years."
"Yes! Guild Leader!" everyone responded in unison, filing out of the hall one by one.
Once the crowd had dispersed, Jiang Zhaoyue went up to the second floor alone and pushed open the door to her room.
It was a simply yet exquisitely decorated room—a desk against the wall piled with several maps and documents;
a daybed by the window covered in soft animal pelts; and a clothes rack in the corner hanging her everyday casual clothes.
She sat down behind the desk, preparing to continue handling the day's backlogged affairs, when a knock sounded at the door.
"Come in."
The door was gently pushed open, and a capable-looking, pretty young woman walked in, holding a thin file.
This was Jiang Zhaoyue's secretary and a veteran member of the Yuehua Guild, Su Qian.
"Guild Leader." Su Qian walked to the desk and set down the file. "Regarding the intelligence on emerging neighboring lords you asked me to watch, there is one noteworthy report today."
Jiang Zhaoyue's brow twitched slightly as she picked up the file.
Her gaze fell on the first line: 【Beacon Fire Town · Lord Lin Feng】.
"Beacon Fire Town?" she read softly. "I remember a new territory called Beacon Fire Village a few days ago. Is it that one?"
"Yes." Su Qian nodded. "Just today, this Beacon Fire Village successfully withstood a Level 2 Nightmare Tide and directly upgraded to a town-level territory. More importantly..."
She paused, seemingly organizing her words. "They used some kind of gold-tier item to migrate the entire territory to the former site of Qingshi County."
"The ruins of that county-level territory, which was destroyed by a Level 4 Nightmare Tide, is now their new home."
