Chapter 1337: Chapter 1336: Sc

Although Yu Hao was angry, he had no way to resolve it, so he could only angrily flick his hand, grab a tissue, and carefully wipe his suit, but the tissue left debris completely stuck to the suit.

There was no way out, and his temper got out of control at this moment.

But seeing so many girls from prestigious families around, Yu Hao could only forcefully suppress his temper and muster a distorted smile.

"Since that’s the case, there’s truly nothing I can do. However, Mr. Xu Ke, although my advice to you earlier might have seemed overly righteous, please don’t take it to heart. There’s no need to resort to these methods. They’re really disgraceful and not befitting of a man."

After Yu Hao finished speaking, he portrayed himself as a noble gentleman, while putting Xu Ke under everyone’s scrutiny.

As long as everything he said could be blamed on Xu Ke tripping him, people would shift their focus away from him. Yu Hao thought his plan was incredibly perfect.

Xu Ke, however, just let out a cold laugh, slowly approaching Yu Hao: "I used to think you were merely incompetent, but I didn’t expect your methods to be so ruthless—pushing everything onto me? In that case, let’s see if you actually have what it takes."

Xu Ke finished speaking, pointing at the spilled wine on the floor: "The glass was in your hand, and I was standing far away from you. If I intended to push you, my arms must be incredibly long!"

"If you’re a man and want to speak, do so clearly. Don’t beat around the bush like a woman—it makes no difference."

As Xu Ke said this, laughter erupted around them, with some women even covering their mouths in disdainful amusement. No one expected Yu Hao to really behave like a woman.

Watching Xu Ke walk away, Yu Hao clenched his fists again. Initially having intended to embarrass Xu Ke using this method, he didn’t anticipate the man’s unbearably cunning nature, only capable of playing minor tricks.

Watching from a corner, Yang Tianzhen couldn’t help but curve her lips. Initially, she thought Xu Ke was just an uneducated man, nothing special, but today, she despised Yu Hao the most, who not only pushed her in front of Shuyuan, but left Shuyuan resentful of her. Her idol might never let go of this incident.

Unexpectedly, this man proved somewhat interesting. Her father’s judgment was pretty good; she didn’t expect she and her father would agree on something someday. Just as she was musing, she suddenly blushed. What was she thinking? No matter how impressive this man was, it had nothing to do with her.

Thinking along these lines, she took a deep breath, grateful she didn’t intervene earlier, or it would have been truly humiliating. She patted her head, only to find her hand being held.

Yang Tian, looking at his daughter, felt particularly regretful, thankful that she refused earlier. Had she agreed, what would have happened now?

He sighed, "I truly was mistaken; that man isn’t good at all. He merely takes credit for others’ achievements. Eventually, everything will be revealed. I misjudged this time, but next time I’ll introduce an even more outstanding young talent to you. You’ll definitely like him."

Yang Tianzhen suddenly froze, holding her glass of wine. Didn’t Dad say Xu Ke was one of the few he appreciated among the young men?

Why did he change his mind now? Did something happen?

Furrowing her brow, it didn’t add up; her father usually never changes his mind about someone.

Yang Tian was feeling particularly displeased, knowing Xu Ke took credit meant his character was questionable.

If he ever ended up with his daughter, wouldn’t Xingyu Group be undermined? At that point, wouldn’t everyone there be useless compared to Xu Ke?

Yang Tianzhen pinched herself, coming back to reality—this was indeed her father. With a slight cough, wearing a peculiar smile, she remarked, "What happened to you? Once you’ve made up your mind, not even ten oxen can drag you back, right? It’s been less than ten minutes, and you’ve changed your tune. Besides, I think he’s not bad. Why can’t Dad accept him? What should we do now? I seem to have fallen for him at first sight!"

She wanted to see how Dad would react; maybe he’d even start questioning everything. Amused at the thought, Yang Tianzhen found it all rather funny.

Yang Tian, as if hearing terrible news, widened his eyes at his daughter in disbelief. It shouldn’t be—his proud daughter couldn’t possibly be interested in Xu Ke, especially so quickly. Wasn’t she just saying she didn’t like him minutes ago? His mouth opened, feeling parched.

Logically, someone as brilliant as his daughter should find a better match. Yet, his daughter was never that concerned with romantic pursuits, causing him to lower his standards for a son-in-law.

If his daughter had shown interest in Xu Ke earlier, Yang Tian would have wholeheartedly agreed. But why now? He was particularly troubled, running a hand through his hair, his face wrinkled like an orange.

Forcing a smile, he said, "Tianzhen, perhaps we should keep looking. You’re still young and it’s not suitable to rush into a relationship. Take your time, maybe there’s someone even better out there. You’ve never been in love, don’t quite understand what it entails, and it might lead to regrets."

Feeling his smile was especially bitter, if he could do it over, he would never take charge for his daughter again; how did it become this embarrassing?

Yang Tianzhen couldn’t help but burst into laughter. How amusing her dad was, believing even this.

"Alright, Dad, don’t worry. I don’t really fancy anyone yet. When I do, I’ll let you know, but promise you’ll stop interfering. If you keep meddling, I might just go for him. I can tell you least want him as your son-in-law."

Yang Tian quickly nodded in agreement, "Oh, my dear daughter, I promise I won’t interfere in your affairs anymore. Follow your heart."

"In the future, as long as you like something, Dad will support you and won’t oppose you."

Yang Tian felt relieved; thankfully his daughter wasn’t fond of Xu Ke, otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to clear himself of guilt even if he jumped into the Yellow River.

At least his daughter was sensible and certainly wouldn’t take a liking to Xu Ke.
