Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1677: Another Dream?
One month later.
"Help!"
Oooohhh!
A massive alien let out a cry. The humanoid alien was five hundred meters tall, probably the most massive alien they had ever encountered.
When the alien took a step, the ground trembled. The alien raised its club and swung it down.
The tremendous force struck the ground and destroyed the entire city. People were screaming, but there was nothing they could do.
Some people managed to survive, but what was waiting for them was another dead end.
In front of them was a fly-like alien. Instead of legs, the aliens had tentacles. Its size couldn’t be compared to the humanoid alien, but it was still two-thirds of the octopus that Nathan once fought.
The fly crushed the remaining survivors.
However, the fly wasn’t the only one they needed to worry about. Another massive alien also came forward. This alien towered to the sky like the humanoid alien, but its body looked like an elephant’s instead.
It had ten legs, and the trunk produced numerous tentacles that could be extended all the way to the ground. Its body was so wide that it might even fit a small village.
The aliens wreaked havoc around the area, causing massive destruction everywhere.
When some summoners came toward them, each of them unleashed an invisible power that suppressed them. The summoners couldn’t do anything under this suppression and they soon died.
The summoners could only stare at the aliens in despair. These aliens were not meant to be defeated.
There was no way humanity could defeat even a single one of them. Humans only had two options. Either they tried a useless struggle or they waited for their death.
Nonetheless, there was no way for humanity to fight back. The only thing that would happen was the race’s extinction.
The summoner looked up, breathing heavily. "You monsters... How are we meant to fight something like this..."
He witnessed the massive foot that fell on top of him, flattening everything in the area.
"Ha... Ha..." Nathan suddenly woke up and rose from the bed. He looked around, wondering what had happened.
Realizing that he was still in his bedroom, Nathan facepalmed and let out a long sigh. It turned out it was a nightmare.
’A nightmare? No, is it a prophetic dream? The dream that shows me the original Nathan’s memory? But I’m not in the original Nathan’s body...’ Nathan’s expression turned grim.
If it were the original Nathan, there should be a fight. The original Nathan should be strong enough to at least fight them, even if he were going to lose.
So, the fact that there was no fight, Nathan was wondering whether this was just a nightmare.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford such leisure. Thinking it was a nightmare was good, but the dream felt too real.
It was as if something was warning him about the incoming attack.
The three massive aliens were pretty clear. Their strength was above that of the alpha class aliens.
In fact, the invisible force that defeated the summoners felt similar to Cthulhu’s power.
The power of fear came from Cthulhu’s divinity, so it was pretty clear who they were up against.
Those three aliens might be the Ancient Ones. However, Nathan still felt that these three were not as strong as Cthulhu.
However, they must have formed their divine bodies. He didn’t know whether they had formed their godhood or not, but it was not relevant.
Nathan had to consider the possibility that three Ancient Ones might come into this world soon.
"Nathan? Are you all right?" Vivian asked, waking up because of Nathan’s reaction.
"Ah. Sorry for waking you up." Nathan smiled wryly.
"What’s wrong? You don’t look fine."
Nathan fell silent. On the one hand, he never really got any more prophetic dreams ever since he formed the Time Domain, which ultimately patched the hole in the timeline. This meant no memory from the original Nathan would leak to him.
On the other hand, he didn’t feel like this was a simple nightmare. He wondered if this was true or not.
If he told Vivian about it, the others would probably learn about it. If such a thing didn’t happen, would he end up scaring them unnecessarily?
"What’s wrong? Tell me." Vivian came closer and hugged him. She once taught him a lot of things, so she understood that Nathan had a lot of worries this time.
She wanted to make him feel secure.
"Nathan?" Vivian tilted her head.
Nathan took a deep breath. "Let’s gather the girls first. I hope it’s just me being paranoid, but..."
"I see." Vivian nodded.
"Can you ask the girls to gather first? I need some time to think."
"Sure."
Nathan pinched the bridge of his nose as he fell into deep thought. This felt like another big problem that he needed to immediately solve.
However, this time felt a bit different. There were too many uncertainties that he didn’t know what was going on with anymore.
Nathan sighed. They just had a moment of peace, but to think that they had to worry about another attack!
"It looks like the aliens know we’re searching for their portals. They’re trying to prevent us from searching their portals, so they’re trying to distract us with all this mess..."
Nathan crossed his arms. "Surely, the aliens are not just sore losers who are trying to pay back because of the previous defeat, right?"
Nevertheless, the situation had become urgent. This time, the Ancient Ones that would come weren’t at the level of elite class aliens. Instead, they were much stronger than ordinary alpha class aliens. It could be said that they were the Ancient Ones that were already close to being a god like Fenrir and the others.
If they approached this situation incorrectly, the destruction would be unimaginable.
Besides, he didn’t know how the aliens even managed to reach the city. They needed to pass the front lines first.
"Don’t tell me... Yog-Sothoth is gradually losing to the black cell and is about to get taken over?" Nathan could only imagine Yog-Sothoth opening a portal in the middle of human territory.
If that was the case, the severity of this matter had just been upgraded by several levels.
