Gina rubbed Fio’s hair with a loving smile before she motioned towards Jason, who was standing at the side.

"I think you forgot to say hello to somebody."

Fio turned around sharply, and she squeaked in surprise when she finally sensed the intimidating aura rolling off Jason’s body! Fio took a step back, but Gina pushed her forward with a smile and told her that it was rude to stare. Fio blushed and looked down at her sandaled feet.

"H-Hello, Jason. It’s been a while." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Jason reached out and patted Fio’s hair with a grin.

"Hey, Fio. Hope you aren’t causing too much trouble for your mum and dad."

"Wha-?!? Gina, I never do that!"

Jason just chuckled, and Fio’s cheeks darkened from embarrassment as she ran to Gina’s arms!

"Hey, are you sure that’s Jason? He looks completely different from before."

"I don’t even know what to say to him anymore. It’s a completely different person."

"Yeah, but what caused him to change so much?"

"Does it matter? He’s smoking hot."

"Gina’ll kill you if she hears that. Better watch it. But you’re right, he’s smoking hot."

At the side, the teenagers watched Jason greeting the family members with a critical gaze. Many of the boys who had been close to Jason in the past felt overwhelmed by the intense changes that they could see in Jason. Both Jason’s demeanor and appearance had changed drastically, and it looked like they were meeting someone completely different from who they once knew! As for the girls, there were many of them who couldn’t help but admire how much more attractive Jason was now! Jason had always been handsome, but after going through so many battles, there was a ruggedness that Jason had gained, and this made it nearly impossible for any of the girls to keep their eyes off him! Jason was wearing a simple pair of trousers and a shirt with black boots. His long hair was tied into a ponytail, and the shirt sleeves were rolled up to his elbows for easier movement. A few of the girls looked like they would start salivating as they stared at Jason’s exposed forearms!

"I want him to pin me down and have his way with me."

One of the older teenagers, a beautiful girl named Darcy, spoke up with a perverted smile, and the other girls laughed as they agreed! Since Jason was only related to them through Gina, the girls didn’t see anything wrong in viewing Jason sexually, and if any of them had a chance to be with Jason, they would take it immediately!

"Hey, guys."

But the girls were pulled out of their trance when they saw Gina walking over with a smile. Gina greeted her cousins happily, and the girls all swallowed nervously as they greeted Gina with their own smiles. Even though Gina was smiling kindly, there was a pressure coming off Gina at that moment that threatened to suffocate them, and the girls felt like Gina was releasing the pressure on purpose as a warning to them! Most of the girls were standing behind Darcy since Darcy was the unofficial leader of the clique, and Darcy chuckled nervously as she spoke up:

"You look beautiful, Gina. D-did you do something new with your hair? It really grew longer."

Darcy was trying to get rid of the tense atmosphere, but Darcy was shocked when Gina reached out and pulled her into a hug. Darcy’s face turned white as Gina whispered to her in a sweet voice.

"I don’t care if you’re my cousin. Touch him, and I’ll kill you."

Darcy swallowed as fear gripped her heart, and Gina pulled back with the sweetest smile on her face as she went on to greet the rest of her family! Gina had heard a lot about Darcy from her parents, and she knew that Darcy changed boyfriends like people changed clothes. Darcy was the sort of girl to throw herself at a man without caring about her body, and Gina felt disgusted that Darcy thought she even had a chance with Jason! When Jason finally came around to greet Darcy and the other girls a few seconds later, he was shocked when Darcy quickly excused herself and ran away from him.

The greetings went on like this for the next few minutes since there were so many people in the Fey family, but it wasn’t long before the family brought out the grills and drinks, and they organized the tables in the yard as they got ready for the picnic. Mira and Bett had taken over the kitchen as they got the food ready while laughing and gossiping with the other wives. Gina was surrounded by many of her cousins who wanted to know about her adventures with Jason and how her relationship was going, and Jason was standing around the large open-air grill along with Gina’s father and uncles. Gina’s father had bought a new grill just for this picnic, and the men were all staring at the grill like it was some sort of precious artefact, and one of them whistled before speaking.

"Now that’s a good-looking grill. You go handle it, Jason."

Jason blinked.

"Huh?"

Jonas laughed and slapped Jason on the back!

"Yeah, Leroy is right! It’s a rite of passage for the Fey men to handle the grill at family picnics! All my brothers did it, and since you’re one of us now, you have to do it! You’re eighteen now, right? Here, have a beer and pick up an apron! We’re all watching with you, so you don’t need to worry about messing up! Just have fun with it!"

Jonas grabbed a pink apron that had the caption ’kiss the chef’ printed in the front, and Jason recoiled at the horrible-looking apron! Jason tried to refuse, but Jason couldn’t really do anything as all his future in-laws laughed while urging him to put on the apron. Jason just laughed as he did as he was told. Jason rolled up his sleeves even more, put on the apron, and grabbed a spatula! The grill had already heated up at this time, so the meat was thrown straight on after seasoning it, and Jason found himself expertly working the grill while drinking and chatting with the other men about pointless things! Normally, Jason was meant to be hanging out with the younger teenagers since he was still only eighteen, but Jason’s position in society, as well as his mature looks, made it difficult for any of the younger boys to hang around Jason without feeling intimidated, so Jason simply stayed with the older men!

"Holy shit, this is awesome! Hey Jonas, your son-in-law is one hell of a chef!"

"Damn, Leroy’s right! This is awesome!"

"Let me have a piece!"

"Wait, don’t eat all of it! Save some for the ladies – Whoa, this is good!"

The men were all shocked when they took bites from the meat Jason had cooked and realised that it was fucking good! Jason had once been a professional chef in his mother’s restaurant, and he cooked hundreds of meat patties on a daily basis, so something like grilling was nothing to him!

A feminine laugh came from the main door, and Jason looked up to see Gina walking out of the house with some other girls who were all looking at him and laughing shyly. Gina had a blush on her face as she listened to what a younger girl was saying to her, and she couldn’t keep her eyes away from Jason when she saw what he was wearing! The pink apron had been a part of Gina’s family tradition for generations, and the fact that Jason was wearing it meant that Gina’s father and uncles had accepted Jason into the family! Jason looked like a typical husband, and Gina found it undeniably attractive. Jason noticed Gina staring, and he winked at her with a grin before taking a drink of beer!

"Oooooouuuu~!"

The girls all made teasing noises at Gina when they saw this, and Gina’s blush grew larger as she quickly moved to help someone else with organising the rest of the picnic!
