Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 873 - Conversation with Fierce Breaker
Infusing his Soul with the new Law didn't take Kyle a long time, and after he was done, he smirked.
'Sure enough, filling an empty slot is much more useful than improving an already filled one,' he thought with a chuckle. 'Even though it's only a Level Four Complex Law, its power in combat is tremendous!'
After thinking about his newest Law for a while and imagining the shocked faces of his enemies, Kyle looked at the date.
'Only about 500 years left. I wonder if someone has already arrived. Speaking of, there's a message.'
When Kyle read the message, his brows rose in surprise. 'Fierce Breaker? He accepted? Huh, I thought the chances of him accepting my invitation were even lower than Swamp Dragon's. I mean, I don't know the guy very well, and I essentially asked him to just trust me.'
Kyle found an attached contact and added it. A moment later, a guest profile appeared on Kyle's Communicator, and he called it.
"Descending Mountain?" Fierce Breaker's voice came out of the Communicator a moment later.
"Yep, that's me," Kyle answered. "I'm quite surprised that you accepted. Is everything good?"
"Yes, everything's fine," Fierce Breaker transmitted. "I'm currently on a random Planet in the Hell Dimension. I've been told that we will leave in about 500 years."
"That's the plan," Kyle answered. "I hope it's fine that the Cult is sponsoring this trip."
Fierce Breaker remained quiet for a bit.
"I don't want to talk about these things via Communicator," he answered. "I also prefer to wait for the others before talking about any important things."
"Assuming the others show up," Kyle commented. "You're the first and only one for now."
"I'm confident that there will be at least one more person," Fierce Breaker said.
"Who?"
"Manny," Fierce Breaker transmitted. "From what I can tell, he is very flexible and usually goes with the flow."
Kyle scratched the side of his head. "Honestly, I can't get a read on him, which makes it hard for me to predict his choices. Maybe you know him better than me."
"Maybe, you will see," Fierce Breaker transmitted.
"By the way, how did you even get to the Hell Dimension? I sent the message, but I never wrote about how to get in contact with us," Kyle asked.
"There was a message attached to your letter with instructions," Fierce Breaker explained. "I was simply told to crush an emblem one month before I would leave. After a month, I was supposed to descend to the Elemental Dimension on the Planet on which I crushed the emblem. I did just that, and when I descended, I was greeted by your friend, Sebastian."
"Oh, Sebastian got you?" Kyle asked. "Did you guys already talk?"
"We talked on our way back," Fierce Breaker said. "To be honest, it was difficult for me to believe how high his Battle-Strength is, but in hindsight, I shouldn't have been surprised. No one in your group is simple."
"My group? Pretty sure this is our group," Kyle answered with a chuckle.
"No, this is your group," Fierce Breaker said. "You might not have noticed it, but even when you were not there, you were the primary focus of our group. While we helped each other, we mostly did that so we could somehow help you."
Kyle became a bit uncomfortable when he heard that. "Come on, it can't be that extreme, right?" π»π³β―β―π€β―π·π―β΄πβ―π.πβ΄π
"Indirectly, it is that extreme," Fierce Breaker answered. "It's mainly because of Swamp Dragon and Star Genesis. Swamp Dragon can deal with all kinds of problems that come his way, which means he has time and resources to focus on other people's problems. He also views you as his closest companion. Star Genesis also manages to go through life without creating too many adverse relationships, and she also cares a lot about you."
"Manny mostly went with the flow, which meant he simply deferred judgment to the other two. I, as the newest member, needed to focus on my own power, which was also in accordance with the plan. Since those two were essentially the leaders of the group, Manny and I simply followed their script. So, yes, everything revolved around you."
Kyle remained silent for a while as he thought about what he had done.
For the majority of his time in the Secondary Sector, he hadn't even tried to help his friends. He had only gone to them when he needed something. Meanwhile, his friends had tried to help him the entire time.
Kyle almost felt like a thankless, unreliable burden, but he knew that wasn't the case. While his emotions made him feel embarrassed and guilty, his mind told him that he simply wasn't in a position to help. He had been declared a criminal. Helping them would put them in hot water with the Contrast Empire.
"I'm sorry," Kyle answered after a while. "I will repay all the help you have given me. If you need anything, just tell me. I'm no longer in a vulnerable position, which means I can finally use my power to support you as well."
The polite answer to Kyle's statement was to say that it wasn't a big deal and that everyone needed help sometimes. However, it was also expected that someone would feel frustrated when they needed to help one person for an extended period of time without receiving any help from them.
"I understand," Fierce Breaker said. "You saying this got rid of most of my uncertainties regarding my choice of following you. I'll be honest with you. I don't know you very well. While I don't want you to die, I'm also not willing to risk my life for you. Coming here was already very risky for me. I'm a Seeker, and just like almost every Seeker, I want more power."
"From what I have heard and seen, you are exceptionally good at growing stronger. I came here because I want to learn how to grow even stronger. When I became a Legendary Crusher, I had already reached the highest level of quality as a Crusher. Everyone would have said that I was at the top of the Compression Realm."
"But that's not the case. My Battle-Strength was very average for a Legendary Crusher. People might not believe that there is a great gulf between different Legendary Crushers, but that's not the case. You are currently a Legendary Crusher, right?"
"Yes," Kyle answered.
"How high is your Battle-Strength?" Fierce Breaker asked.
Kyle thought about his imposing Law, his Infused Mind Law, and his Infused Soul Law. Almost every single Legendary Crusher didn't have any of these things.
The power these three things granted him...
"I don't think numbers matter anymore," Kyle said. "Defeating one Legendary Crusher and defeating a thousand makes no difference to me. I might even have a shot at winning against a newly-advanced Sage."
"That's what I've expected," Fierce Breaker said, "and that's also why I've come here. If you want to help me, show me how you train. Show me how you grow stronger. Tell me how you've obtained this power."
Kyle scratched the back of his head for a moment before shrugging.
"Sure."
