Head Harold heard Jeremy Night. He was surprised.

"This kid thinks like the various Heads of the Beast Taming Forces," he thought.

"We lost one of our governors already. The beast tide is going to be a do-or-die battle. Be ready for that," Harold said in a serious tone.

How could this be possible? But when he looked at the face of Head Harold, it showed he was not joking. Jeremy didn’t know what to say. The unknown crisis felt by him increased.

"You can go back. Don’t ask me about the governor. You will know eventually. Just focus on the preparation. We could face an attack at any time."

"Don’t forget to take care of yourself. You might become a Tier-8 Beast Tamer one day," Harold said.

Jeremy nodded his head. Then he stood up from the seat and left the place. He really couldn’t stay here. His mind was disturbed.

"One of the Governors is dead. Who could kill him?" Jeremy thought.

While walking along the corridor, Jeremy Night was lost in deep thought. He then came to the lobby; he came across a familiar person.

The person was none other than Senior Sister Melinda.

"Senior Sister," he called her out.

Hearing that, Melinda paused her footsteps and turned towards him.

"What are you doing here?" Melinda asked.

"I’m just taking a walk around," he replied.

Melinda nodded her head. She was then about to walk past, but she paused her footsteps. She looked towards Jeremy Night.

She said, "There is going to be a second Beast Tide. Make preparations for that."

Jeremy’s eyes flickered. He understood. She was worried about the next beast tide.

"Don’t worry, senior sister. It will be fine," Jeremy said to her.

Melinda then nodded her head and went to her room.

Jeremy then sighed inwardly. He then went back to his room. He immediately took the device out and started going through the online news.

The news feed was loaded with articles. Jeremy didn’t read the news articles last night, so he could see there were more developments today as well.

He selected one of the news articles and began to read it.

A few minutes later, his expression became worse because it was not good news at all. The situation in the wilderness was worrisome.

Jeremy Night didn’t know what to say. He then recalled the words of Head Harold. One of the Governors was dead.

What could be worse news than that? But it was not released to the public yet. His mood became tense. He then spent a few more minutes reading the latest articles.

Then he phoned his parents and talked to them. He didn’t know whether they were aware of the situation here. It’s possible that media houses in other human zones had started reporting about it.

It was not like communication was cut off, but the information was kept secret. The information won’t be allowed in order not to create a panic situation.

When the call was connected, he spoke to his dad, Ron Night, first. Obviously, Ron Night knew about the situation. He asked about the Beast Tide right away.

Jeremy Night decided to hide a few things, but he talked about the beasts gathering in the wilderness.

Ron Night himself used to be one of the Governors. He could tell that his son was keeping things from him, so he didn’t try to pry further.

Finally, Ron said to Jeremy Night that he should talk to Nora Night. But he wanted his son to avoid the matter of the beast tide.
