Stellar Transformation
Chapter 306: Volume 11 - 64 Poor
"Great Teleportation?"
Qin Yu was very curious about this divine skill that only Golden Immortals could possess. At this moment, he saw Du Zhongjun, Hua Yan, and Ao Feng forming a triangle around him, enclosing him in the center.
Streams of energy surged around the surface of the three, and soon formed a unique domain in the shape of the triangle.
Suddenly—
Qin Yu felt his entire body shudder, and a strange sensation surged through his heart; it was as if for an instant he merged with heaven and earth, but the feeling vanished in just a moment.
"We’re here."
The voice of Ao Feng rang out.
Only now did Qin Yu realize that the scenery around him had completely changed. Not long ago he was still near his home planet ’Zixuan Star,’ and now he found himself above a yellow planet.
Gazing to the right, next to Yellow Stone Star, was a gigantic planet—Zixuan Star.
"From Zixuan Star, Yellow Stone Star looks only the size of a fist, but from Yellow Stone Star, Zixuan Star appears so large as if it’s right in front of my eyes," Qin Yu couldn’t help but marvel.
To his eyes, he seemed to be only a hundred steps away from Zixuan Star.
Zixuan Star was too big.
"Brother Qin Yu, in the cosmic space, two planets may look close, but when you try to fly from one planet to another, you’ll realize the vast distance between them. Plus, there’s a very weird thing in the universe. If you look with your eyes, the planet seems to be in that direction, but when you get close through instantaneous movement, you’ll find that the direction you initially saw was wrong," Hua Yan explained these facts.
Qin Yu chuckled to himself.
He of course knew this principle; according to his master ’Lei Wei,’ it was due to the principle of light refraction, which was because of something in cosmic space... In truth, Qin Yu didn’t quite understand it either, but he had a general idea.
"Zixuan Star is a hundred billion li in length, while Yellow Stone Star is only around a billion li. The difference in volume between the two is a hundred million fold!" Du Zhongjun exclaimed, "Such a giant planet like Zixuan Star is indeed rare."
Ao Feng, Du Zhongjun, and Hua Yan gazed in the direction of Zixuan Star, admiring the huge planet that occupied nearly a third of their field of vision.
"Brother Du, Brother Hua Yan, let’s start setting up the formation on Yellow Stone Star. Once the formation is successfully deployed, it will be time to invite ’Lan Feng’ over," Ao Feng said cheerfully.
Thinking of the divine artifact on Lan Feng, both Du Zhongjun and Hua Yan nodded and, taking Qin Yu with them, flew straight towards Yellow Stone Star.
Yellow Stone Star was very peculiar; rocks made up the vast majority of the composition of the entire planet, resulting in its incredibly high density and, likewise, its gravity was absurdly strong.
The gravity of Yellow Stone Star was about twenty times that of Zixuan Star.
Twenty times the gravity would cause a mortal to have their skeleton shattered and their organs burst in an instant, resulting in immediate death. But who among Qin Yu and the others was ordinary? Twenty times the gravity had no effect on them at all.
Standing on the ground of Yellow Stone Star, Qin Yu looked up at the sky.
The sky above Yellow Stone Star wasn’t obscured by as many things as Zixuan Star, so one could clearly see the boundless starry sky and beautiful planets from its surface.
"Hey, you guys leave me here, even lifting the energy restriction on my body, and aren’t worried I’ll run away?" Qin Yu called out to Ao Feng and the others who were focused on setting up the formation at a distance.
This time, the formation that Ao Feng and the others were setting up was a super large maze array. Even someone very familiar with formations would need half a month to set it up successfully. Hearing Qin Yu’s words, Ao Feng turned to Qin Yu with a smile and said, "Be my guest and escape. You can’t even perform instantaneous movement right now. If you want to fly to Zixuan Star, who knows how long it would take you."
Qin Yu smiled slightly and said no more.
In these past few days, Ao Feng, Du Zhongjun, and Hua Yan had treated him well, chatting and laughing with him and even lifted the energy restriction around his body.
But Qin Yu knew.
They were being so friendly to him now because they hoped he would cooperate amicably to deceive Lan Feng.
Qin Yu then stopped pondering and began to closely observe the sights of Yellow Stone Star.
The ground of Yellow Stone Star was made up of yellow rocks, and looking up one could see countless celestial bodies, even many constant stars, the closest of which appeared smaller in size than Zixuan Star.
In the distant cosmic space, Qin Yu could also see dozens of constant stars as well as numerous planets, which he guessed were uninhabited. After all, in the universe, inhabited planets were relatively scarce.
...
The days passed by in tranquility, and thirteen days went by in full.
On the surface of Yellow Stone Star, there were four stone houses. They belonged to the four of them, and at this time Qin Yu, Ao Feng, and Hua Yan stood beside the stone house, while Du Zhongjun was thousands of meters away.
"Brother Du, can you see us?" called out Ao Feng in a loud voice.
"I can." Du Zhongjun responded.
At this moment, they were all testing the effects of this so-called grand illusion array from the Demon World’s Dragon Clan.
"Now try to reach us and see if you can make it," Ao Feng spoke again.
"Alright, I’m starting now," Du Zhongjun said, and then began moving forward, while Ao Feng, Hua Yan, including Qin Yu, watched Du Zhongjun carefully to see if he could enter.
A confident expression appeared on Ao Feng’s face: "This large array spans around six miles, Du Zhongjun will soon enter the array... right, he’s in."
Qin Yu and Hua Yan watched Du Zhongjun’s reaction carefully.
As soon as Du Zhongjun stepped into the range of the large array, he came to a halt, "Brother Ao Feng, I can’t see your stone house anymore, I only see a grassland in front of me."
Ao Feng nodded.
"It’s alright, this large array is only meant to trap people, it doesn’t harm them. Keep moving forward and see," Ao Feng said loudly.
This maze array was just a part of a super array from within the Dragon Clan. This super array comprised the outer maze array, the inner illusion array, and the hidden killing array. The maze array was solely meant to confound.
Qin Yu clearly saw Du Zhongjun going around in circles within a ten-step radius, unable to get out.
Qin Yu closed his eyes and used his spiritual sense to sense the large array before him. As soon as he closed his eyes, he perceived that in front of him was a chaotic area, with the entire space being distorted.
"Such a formidable maze array," Qin Yu was shocked in his heart.
He understood that with even the space being so affected, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to get in.
"Brother Du, close your eyes, I’ll come get you out," Ao Feng said in a loud voice.
As soon as Du Zhongjun closed his eyes, Ao Feng’s figure flashed, walking through the great formation leisurely as if in his own backyard. However, Ao Feng’s steps were very strange; it took him hundreds of steps just to get one step closer to the center of the formation. He kept walking and after a long while, finally reached Du Zhongjun’s position.
Grasping Du Zhongjun’s hand, Ao Feng once again started walking with those peculiar steps, and after a long time, they finally returned to the stone house.
"It’s done, Brother Du, we have successfully made it out," Ao Feng said with a smile.
As soon as Du Zhongjun came out, he looked at Ao Feng in shock and exclaimed, "Brother Ao Feng, this Maze Array is unimaginably powerful; I couldn’t even get out of the first bewildering turn."
Ao Feng confidently said, "This Maze Array is only part of the formations I have studied. The complete formation is a secret Array of my Dragon Clan. If it were fully deployed, even an Immortal Emperor would not dream of breaking in. Although this Maze Array is but a fraction, it could still hinder a general Immortal Emperor expert for a day or two. As for Lan Feng, I reckon it could tie him down for half a month."
"Impressive, truly impressive," Hua Yan also exclaimed in admiration.
Seeing is believing.
The Dragon Clan holds a rather unique position in the realms of Immortals, Demons, and Heavenly Demons. If the Immortal Realm or the Demon World were completely united, they could definitely surpass the Dragon Clan. But with so many forces in both the Immortal Realm and the Demon World, how could they unite?
However, the Dragon Clan is very united, with the whole clan heeding the Dragon Emperor’s commands. The united Dragon Clan is inviolable throughout the realms of Immortals, Demons, and Heavenly Demons. No one dares to provoke the Dragon Clan, which keeps many of its secrets unknown to the outside world.
"Brother Qin Yu, you can now send a message to your Master Lan Feng, right? You should remember what was said before; we have kept our word and released your relatives," Ao Feng said as he looked toward Qin Yu.
The formation was complete, which meant it was time for Lan Feng to come.
Once they obtained the Divine Artifact from Lan Feng, the three Envoys would go straight back to the realms of Immortals, Demons, and Heavenly Demons.
Hua Yan and Du Zhongjun also turned their eyes toward Qin Yu.
Qin Yu smiled lightly and said, "You all have treated me well during this period, how could I renege on my promise?" Saying this, Qin Yu took out the Communication Order, causing the eyes of Ao Feng and the others to light up.
They knew Qin Yu was sending a message to Lan Feng.
"From Yellow Stone Star to Zixuan Star, the distance is so vast; will the Communication Order work?" Du Zhongjun suddenly whispered to Ao Feng.
The actual transmission distance of the Communication Order is limited.
In the realms of Immortals, Demons, and Heavenly Demons, experts who are extremely far apart usually use items that are a level higher than the Communication Order to send messages. The Communication Order is mainly circulated among ordinary Cultivators.
"No worries, Yellow Stone Star and Zixuan Star are quite close to each other. Moreover, I have already tried to communicate with Fang Tian beforehand, and the communication will go through," Ao Feng nodded affirmatively.
Hearing that Ao Feng had already tried communicating with Fang Tian, Du Zhongjun felt relieved.
"Alright, I have notified my Master, telling him everything... it seems like my Master is a bit furious," Qin Yu said with a wry smile as he looked at Ao Feng and the others.
"Told him? Very well!"
Suddenly, Ao Feng kicked Qin Yu in the abdomen, sending him flying with the kick, his face all coldness: "Hua Yan, help me restrain this kid. We’ve been so courteous to him these days that he’s forgotten who he is, really thinking he can refer to us as brothers."
That kick did not do much harm to Qin Yu.
"Quite the realist, aren’t you," Qin Yu said, chuckling self-deprecatingly, "At first you were worried I wouldn’t cooperate and fail to notify my Master, so you treated me well, but now you kick me away so casually."
The smile on Qin Yu’s face was very peculiar.
"It seems you’re not a fool either," Du Zhongjun chuckled. "Now that Lan Feng has rushed over, what do we need you for?"
Qin Yu spoke up, "There’s one thing I’m curious about, if this Maze Array is so powerful, can’t it be broken?"
Ao Feng sneered, "Kid, are you thinking about breaking the Maze Array to help your master? There’s no harm in telling you. To break the Maze Array, from the outside, you can only rely on brute force. It’s simpler from the inside, you just need to use brute force to break each Array Base. However... each Array Base has my Restrictions placed upon it, and unless your power exceeds mine, don’t even dream about breaking them."
"Oh..." Qin Yu understood.
"Qin Yu, have you not realized how noisy you are? Get back into your stone house," Du Zhongjun suddenly barked.
They had been frustrated these past days, and now they were taking it out on Qin Yu.
"Fine, fine, I’ll roll, I’ll roll," Qin Yu replied with a brilliant smile, sauntering off towards his stone house as if taking a leisurely walk.
"Brother Ao Feng, Lan Feng has three treasures in hand. Considering Qin Yu’s place in Lan Feng’s heart, what sort of treasure do you think we can get?" Du Zhongjun began to inquire.
However, just as Qin Yu stepped into the stone house—
"Ao Feng, Du Zhongjun, Hua Yan, release my nephew immediately, or you all will face death," a cold voice echoed incessantly within thousands of miles.
"It’s Lan Feng."
Ao Feng and the others sprang to their feet, carefully watching all directions of the Maze Array, eager to discern from which direction Lan Feng was coming.
"Lan Feng is so fast," Hua Yan whispered.
Ao Feng also nodded, "Lan Feng is much stronger than us. I guess he used Great Teleportation and arrived at Yellow Stone Star in an instant, but we don’t know his current position."
Hua Yan, Ao Feng, and Du Zhongjun all looked around, trying to spot Lan Feng.
"Stop looking, I’m here."
What frightened Ao Feng and the other two out of their wits was that Lan Feng’s voice came from behind them. They spun around like lightning and saw Lan Feng and Qin Yu walking out from that stone house.
"How can this be, how can this be?" The three of them were dumbfounded, completely at a loss for how Lan Feng could have come back from the stone house.
Qin Yu walked up to Lan Feng, gazing steadily at the three men.
"What’s the matter? Can’t understand?" Qin Yu smiled. "That stone house wasn’t just hiding Lan Feng; there were others as well."
No sooner had Qin Yu’s words fallen than a woman in white emerged from the stone house.
The woman in white was none other than Shuo Yan, the leader of the first layer of the Ten Thousand Beasts List. As Shuo Yan came out from the stone house, one after another Ninth-level Heavenly Demon Spiritual Beasts followed...
Ao Feng, Hua Yan, and Du Zhongjun simply stared dumbly at the scene.
Ninth-level Heavenly Demons were barely beneath them in power, but now, over a hundred Ninth-level Heavenly Demons had walked out of that stone house, swarming every corner. With so many Ninth-level Heavenly Demons, they could easily overwhelm and kill them.
The swarms of Ninth-level Heavenly Demons, the green glint in their eyes fixated on them, and the forbidding, stern Lan Feng leading them left Hua Yan and the other two, who only had the strength of First Level Golden Immortals, trembling with fear.
