"Let’s just eat this, after eating we have to continue the investigation. Now I have to race against time to solve the case." Zhou Susu said firmly.

Reluctantly, Ye Chen could only take the girl to eat KFC, originally he had planned a place for dining along the way.

During this time, Zhou Susu kept looking at her watch, her face showing an anxious expression.

After a while, Ye Chen came over with a tray of food.

She began to eat the burger and took a sip of her drink.

Ye Chen drove according to the address Zhou Susu gave and arrived at a very luxurious neighborhood.

This neighborhood was slightly inferior to the one Ye Chen lived in.

The car drove inside, the security guard did not stop Ye Chen’s car but let them pass easily.

Ye Chen parked the car and walked inside with Zhou Susu.

The two got into the elevator, and Zhou Susu pressed the number 10.

"Ding!" The elevator door opened, the two walked out, and under Zhou Susu’s lead, they arrived at a front door.

At this moment, a police line was set at the door.

Ye Chen frowned, thinking if the little girl was still living here.

After all, this was the crime scene, the police needed to protect it, and couldn’t let anyone stay inside.

Before Ye Chen could ask, Zhou Susu said, "Ye Chen, this is the little girl’s home, but she’s not here."

Since they were already here, they might as well go in as Zhou Susu suggested, lest she thinks he’s lying to her.

Ye Chen put on the clothes, shoe covers, and gloves prepared by Zhou Susu and walked inside. However, once inside, Ye Chen didn’t search around for fingerprints, shoe prints, bloodstains like those professional police officers, but instead took a casual look around upstairs and downstairs.

He came down from upstairs, looked at Zhou Susu, and said, "Susu, let’s go."

Zhou Susu looked at the time; from the time they entered to Ye Chen saying to go, it was less than ten minutes.

"Leaving so soon, Ye Chen, did you see everything clearly?" Zhou Susu asked with a puzzled expression.

"I saw it clearly, I saw it clearly." Ye Chen replied perfunctorily.

In fact, Ye Chen’s way of solving cases was rooted in this, and he only came in to dispel any suspicion from Zhou Susu.

"Did you check every room?" Zhou Susu asked again.

"Yes, I checked every room, Chief Zhou, don’t worry, how dare I lie to you." Ye Chen said with a smile.

Seeing Ye Chen saying this, Zhou Susu nodded and said, "Alright, let’s go then."

Hearing Zhou Susu’s words, Ye Chen breathed a sigh of relief, after all, staying here was nothing but a waste of time for him.

The two stepped out of the building, Ye Chen driving the car with Zhou Susu in the passenger seat.

"Ye Chen, let me take you to see the little girl." Zhou Susu said.

Ye Chen, however, smiled and said, "Wait a minute, let’s go somewhere first?"

Zhou Susu looked surprised and asked, "Where to?"
