SSS Awakening: Starting With Infinite Soul Copy
Chapter 203: Only A Monster Accepts Another
As White flew through the sky, his gaze remained fixed forward through the clouds, but his ears twitched all of a sudden as he heard a call.
He gazed down, and there, standing and waving with a jump, was someone he didn’t quite expect.
He flew down and landed on the ground before her.
It was none other than the dual-eyed girl... Zisel.
"I heard about it... from my Vice mentor."
She said softly, before stepping forward and suddenly pulling him into a hug.
"I’m sorry."
In that moment, the dark White took over, wrapping its claws around her back.
They remained like this for a while before parting as White regained control.
"Now that I remember, I never said thank you that night."
White said to her, before shifting a step back and bowing lightly.
"Thank you, Zisel. For accepting me."
"Only a monster would accept a monster."
Zisel said to him, with a broken smile of her own, but the words shook White enough for him to whisper,
"Only a monster accepts a monster."
"So, what will you do now? Now that you’re leaving?"
She asked, and White hummed for a second, thoughts flashing in his eyes before responding.
"I’m not sure yet. I guess I’ll... figure it out along the way."
"If you ever need help, out there in the world..."
Zisel suddenly said, walking forward and passing White a piece of paper.
"Go to that location and find them...They accept monsters."
Zisel claimed, and White looked at the words on the paper.
It was the address of a place that was weirdly familiar.
"Thank you... And goodbye now."
He said, his wings unfurling once more.
"I’ll miss your warmth..."
Zisel whispered, looking down at her feet, but White’s sharp hearing still picked it up.
"You mean the cold."
He said, as she raised her head in shock and embarrassment, but he had already become a dot in the sky.
Her lips moved then, wanting to say something, but in the end, she bit it back, raising her hands and waving instead.
It stopped after he had disappeared, and her hands quietly fell.
"It was warmth to me."
---
When they had left for the Outerschool Mission and returned, White had memorized the route out of Xtremecyber and headed there directly, after securing everything he had, of course.
Majorly, it was just the runic book, which he had been given by Commander Zoltan, one that he hoped contained the secrets to this body.
He had also given it to the system to help him store it away.
But on reaching the exit, he found a couple of figures waiting.
One was Vice Rohan, another the Prison Warden, and lastly Vice Amora, the other twin of Vice Mimura, Nova’s mentor.
"You know I already heard your ban speech quite clearly enough. I don’t need a second at the exit."
White said, stepping to the ground.
"We’re not here for that."
The Prison Warden said, and in that moment, White could see the jet at the side.
"I’ll make sure you get returned to Dongard City."
Vice Rohan stated, but then White walked through their assembly, pausing before Vice Rohan and asking,
"You seriously think Xtremecyber was the only option I had?"
VRRROOOOOOM!
In that moment, the clouds parted as a gigantic golden-colored mothership appeared in the sky, holding a symbol that all immediately recognized.
"Humanity Ascension!?"
The ship’s hatch opened, landing exactly a few feet away from White, who climbed up.
He spoke no words, nor did he turn his back.
To him, it was all over.
The hatch retracted into the mothership, and in the next moment, it flew high into the sky before turning into a golden beam that disappeared into the distance.
"Was having him banned really a good choice for the alliance?"
Vice Amora mused beneath her breath as they all watched the ship disappear into the distance.
"He might indeed be talented. Perhaps the most talented student Xtremecyber has ever possessed."
The Prison Warden said with creased eyebrows.
The power that the boy had, a power close to, if not even next to hers, was something beyond what any human should technically be capable of.
And to further boost that, this power she had gotten after more than 30 years of relentless training and full use of her potential, and right now she was already at the peak of it.
How many years had White spent cultivating, on the other hand?
Not even up to a year, and that new transformation he pulled out showed he wasn’t anywhere close to the peak of his potential.
"But no human is meant to be capable of holding that much in. His potential would be the end of him... soon enough. All the First Order did was protect and remove ourselves from that end."
"It might not be the best choice, but... It’s the safest."
---
"Never thought I’d see you in person so soon again."
Commander Zoltan said as he took a seat with a mug in hand, pouring the red juice into the cup for White.
"Thank you,"
White said, taking a long sip and downing it at once.
Commander Zoltan looked at the young man, and it was pretty clear that he seemed exhausted from the whole ordeal.
"You know, if you want, the Supreme Commander can override the ban Xtremecyber has on you, having them reinstate you."
"Sure, it might cost a little friction, but it’s still well within Humanity Ascension’s power."
He said, but White shook his head before saying, 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"I have a second request ready for the Supreme Commanders."
Commander Zoltan’s ears perked.
"And what is that?"
He asked, pouring himself a cup.
"I want to join the United Earth Federation."
CRACK!
Cracks ran across the cup as Commander Zoltan’s eyes widened, turning to White.
That was the last thing he expected from him.
He tried to look for any clue he could get from White, but the young man remained relaxed on the sofa, with eyes closed, preventing anything from leaking from him.
In the end, he could only respond,
"Consider it done."
