Chapter 141: An Undying Emissary
They used to say a Werewolf was a creature of unmatched rage and power.
But in the far edges of the Supernatural World, close to an abandoned lair, a Werewolf had finally met its match.
The collision sent forth an explosion that completely crumbled the entire mountain range for a distance of a hundred meters.
Entire cliff faces shattered apart like brittle glass, while slabs of stone the size of houses were hurled skyward before crashing back down in fiery ruin.
It sent Jack flying into the abyss carved open in the ground, his eyes widened in disbelief that his full-powered cleave had been resisted—and that he had even been blown back.
His eyes burned with even greater rage.
Veins bulged beneath his exposed skin, and the crimson energy around his claws thickened until it distorted the air around him.
BOOOOOOOM!
BOOOOOOOM!
Two explosions tore through the cloud of smoke as White flew into the abyss, slamming both fists downward.
His descent was so violent that the walls of the chasm cracked apart from pressure alone, stones bursting outward in every direction.
The creature responded by grabbing both of White’s fists with its massive claws, only to be forced deeper underground as White flapped his wings, adding enough force to drive the Werewolf Emissary seven hundred meters below the surface.
At last, Jack managed to land on his feet and stop his descent in the pitch darkness. Dust and fragments of rock rained around him like a storm. Yet something horrifying welcomed him.
White opened his mouth wide, and a pitch-black hole appeared before Jack, swallowing his vision. Even the loose debris around them was dragged screaming into its center.
[Limitless Collapse Activated!]
Deep underground, in such a tight space, White had unleashed a second Limitless Collapse directly in front of Jack’s face.
The explosion that followed was so powerful that cracks spread for miles across the ground above before both of them were violently blasted back upward. Mountain peaks in the surrounding range buckled and sank from the pressure wave, while entire slopes avalanched into the valleys below.
White spun roughly through the air from the force, slamming into a mountain and bringing the entire thing down upon himself.
The summit collapsed in a roaring landslide, burying him beneath thousands of tons of shattered stone.
He remained buried for only a second before the mountain burst apart.
A beam of darkness pierced forward toward Jack, whose body was missing half its skin.
His face had been reduced to exposed skull, flesh and muscle burned away, yet he still turned forward to find those lifeless crimson eyes staring at him.
"What do you know... of pain?" White asked.
And in the next moment—
CLEAAAAAVE!
The air was ripped apart as Jack’s massive claws slashed downward, landing on White’s shoulders and tearing through to his waist.
The strike continued beyond White, carving five glowing trenches through the mountains behind him.
The sight left Jack stunned. White should have dodged, yet he had remained still.
RIIIIIIIIIP!
The sound of flesh being torn rang out as blood splattered from Jack’s mouth. He looked down.
White’s hand had pierced through the wound in Jack’s stomach, which was only beginning to heal.
"Let’s fight a battle of pain."
"Activate Limitless Collapse."
White ordered, and Jack’s face changed drastically.
A black hole had been released inside his body!
ROOOOOOOOOOOAR!
A powerful roar slammed into White, blowing him away. The roar alone uprooted stone pillars and sent rings of force racing across the mountainside, pulverizing everything in their path, while Jack desperately cleaved at his own stomach to separate himself from the attack.
It was a fatal mistake.
The moment his claws reached the black hole within him, they were caught by its terrifying pull.
White rose to one knee, watching with a sickening smile of mockery as the Werewolf tried to stop the black hole in his stomach, only for his own body to be dragged inward. The bones in Jack’s arms snapped one after another as they bent against impossible gravity.
It was a scene straight from hell. Jack’s hands were pulled first into his stomach, then his head, then his chest.
"Collapse."
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Another devastating explosion erupted, greater than the last. A pillar of blood, ash, and destructive energy burst through the sky, punching through the clouds high above.
White stepped through it all and came to the center.
There, lying on the ground, half separated into two, was the Werewolf—now unrecognizable.
Not a single part of him remained where it should have been.
The same went for his internal organs, half of which had been reduced to nothing.
Blood pooled outward through the broken earth, filling cracks and steaming where it touched heated stone.
Jack inhaled and exhaled roughly, and true to the horror of Werewolves, his broken body was already beginning to heal.
Flesh crawled across exposed bone, and shattered ribs slowly shifted back into place.
But would White really allow that?
He bent down, his hands morphing into claws whose blades stretched ten centimeters long.
They pierced through Jack’s heart like knives, and with one swift jerk—
GASSSSP!
A pained gasp left Jack’s lips, quickly cut off by blood bubbling in his throat as White withdrew his hand, a dark object still pumping gleaming in his grasp.
He looked at Jack and, with a smile bordering on insanity, placed the heart into his mouth, forcing it between his sharp maw as the his woman heart was crushed to pieces by his fangs.
Death was beyond evident, yet in that moment a milky white rune suddenly appeared on Jack’s forehead, and his final words reached White.
"I am protected by the Divine Energy of the Primordial Wolf. My soul will be endlessly brought back to life."
White chuckled before lowering to Jack’s ear and whispering:
"If you truly can return to the Primordial Wolf, then do her a favor... relay this message."
He rose back up and silently moved his lips.
Jack’s eyes strained to read them, and as he breathed his last, he understood.
"The Supernaturals shall know fear... for the Umbrawyr will come for them."
Far above, thunder rolled across the broken mountain range as though the world itself had heard the promise.
"I will come for them all."
