Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!
Chapter 850 - 830: Raise Her Like a Disabled Person (Part 3)
With that, Zaizai turned his head again and proudly said to his little friends, "You guys said my daddy and mommy were getting divorced! Look! They came to pick me up together!"
A little Baozi said meekly, "It wasn’t me who said it, I heard it from my dad. My dad heard it from the news."
"They were just arguing, understand? Arguing! Haven’t your daddy and mommy ever argued? After arguing, it’s all good! Also, you actually believe what the news reports now? Please, you’re four years old, not a three-year-old kid anymore. Be a bit more discerning, and don’t just believe any gossip you hear, okay?" Zaizai lectured.
Little Baozi was stunned and confused by Zaizai’s words.
The homeroom teacher had been advised by the Huo Family earlier and was still helping to conceal the matter, busily saying to that Little Baozi, "Maybe your daddy saw it wrong. Alright, don’t talk carelessly about classmates’ parents getting divorced, it’s not kind."
"Who said daddy and mommy are getting divorced?" Huo Zhenyang walked forward and picked up his son.
Zaizai huffed in frustration but also felt a bit wronged, "These past few months they’ve been saying daddy and mommy got divorced, I didn’t believe it, daddy, you tell them."
"Daddy and mommy didn’t get divorced, nor did we argue. It’s just that daddy was busy with work and went abroad for a few months, therefore you and mommy temporarily moved back to Green Island Garden. Perhaps some inaccurate news reports caused misunderstandings among your little friends’ parents. Now, daddy is back, and starting from today, mommy will live with Zaizai back in Disheng again."
Zaizai’s eyes widened as he looked at Huo Zhenyang, "Really?"
"Have I ever lied to you?"
Zaizai cheered in Huo Zhenyang’s arms and then made faces at the other little Baozis, "Told you so."
Huo Zhenyang nodded to the homeroom teacher and carried his son back to the car.
Just as he was about to place Little Baozi into the child car seat in the back, Zaizai stretched his chubby arms towards Jiayi like a little dumpling, rolling into her embrace.
Jiayi didn’t reject him and hugged Little Baozi, cuddling him.
"Zaizai!" Huo Zhenyang’s face turned stern, and he reprimanded sharply for fear that Zaizai might touch Jiayi’s foot injury, "Your mommy has a foot injury, how can you sit on her? Stop messing around, sit in the back."
Zaizai hid in Jiayi’s arms.
Jiayi also sided with Little Baozi, "I’ll just hold him for a moment, it will be fine."
Zaizai parroted, "Mommy will just hold me for a bit, it will be fine."
Huo Zhenyang looked at the big and small, like he was taking care of two mischievous babies, and couldn’t help but feel a mix of frustration and amusement.
Zaizai suddenly remembered something, "Why did mommy’s foot get hurt?"
Jiayi lifted her face and glanced at the man outside the car, "That’s a question for your daddy."
The certain fine-faced gentleman felt slightly awkward and changed the subject, "Alright, Zaizai, have you hugged enough? Let’s go home."
Zaizai was thrilled to see both his daddy and mommy come to pick him up today and had finally cleared the "false accusation" of his parents’ divorce in front of his friends. Additionally, having not seen Jiayi for a few days, he was probably too excited, clinging to Jiayi’s neck and not letting go, "I want to sit in the front, have mommy hold me, with daddy being the driver!"
Children are active and don’t like sitting in child car seats, which they feel are as binding as being tied up, and lack freedom. Little Baozi was no exception.
Huo Zhenyang scowled, "Knowing your mommy got hurt and still clinging, aren’t you being unreasonable again?"
But Zaizai still couldn’t bear to let go, "If mommy is hurt, why did daddy still bring mommy out? Daddy is the one being unreasonable."
"Learning how to talk back now? These past few months, your grandparents have spoiled you rotten again." Huo Zhenyang raised his hand, pretending to give Little Baozi a knuckle-rap on the head.
He has always trained Zaizai as his successor, being quite strict with him. After putting in some effort and shaping Little Baozi’s manner for a while, leaving him be for just a few months has reverted him back to his old self!
And so, he was indeed a bit annoyed at the moment.
Zaizai knew that mommy was his protector. As long as mommy spoke up, daddy would agree to anything, just like a sticky rice ball burrowing into Jiayi’s arms: "Mommy, save me~ Daddy’s going to hit me!"
Sure enough, Jiayi hurried to shield Little Baozi’s head: "Don’t hit him."
Meeting the eager stare of his little woman, Huo Zhenyang’s hand hung in mid-air, slowly lowering down, and yet he stretched his hand out again, trying to pick up Little Baozi and toss him behind.
Worried that he was still angry: "Don’t be so fierce, a child should be taught patiently. He’s only four years old."
Patiently taught? This is her idea of teaching patiently, as a result the child is spoiled beyond reason.
Huo Zhenyang’s approach to educating the boy was still on the strict side, disciplining him when he did wrong, even going so far as to spank him.
However, this little woman treated Little Baozi like a baby, being far too protective.
He chuckled, "So what if he’s four? I was already attending business events with grandfather at that age."
"That’s why you missed out on childhood fun. I wouldn’t want my son’s childhood to be as miserable as yours." She muttered softly, burying her head in Little Baozi’s neck.
"What are you saying?" He arched an eyebrow.
"I mean, that’s why you’re so outstanding. Not everyone can be as outstanding as you." She quickly stuck out her tongue, changing her tone.
Seeing her watery eyes, he knew she wasn’t speaking well of him, but indulgently furrowed his brows and softly rubbed her hair, his anger receding.
Seeing his face lighten up, Jiayi patted Little Baozi’s back, blinking, "There, see? Daddy isn’t angry anymore."
In order not to "scare" Little Baozi, Huo Zhenyang tried to rub Little Baozi’s head amicably, explaining calmly: "Daddy took mommy out to the hospital for a check-up."
"To check mommy’s foot?" Little Baozi finally calmed down somewhat, cautiously looking at Jiayi’s foot.
Huo Zhenyang’s lips curled with a mysterious smile, remaining silent, and as Jiayi was about to speak, fearing the man would say something inappropriate for children, he had already propped his hands on the car wall, leaning in with a meaningful voice: "Zaizai, haven’t you always wanted a little sister? Today’s hospital visit was to check mommy’s health. The doctor said mommy is in very good shape now. Shall we have her quickly give you one, alright?"
Little Baozi’s face lit up with joy, immediately shifting his focus, letting go of Jiayi, but then he quickly said: "Hmm! But, daddy, you’re mistaken, I want a little brother."
"That’s a small matter. Brother or sister, we could have a dozen of them." Huo Zhenyang glanced at Jiayi’s body, "Right?"
Seeing Zaizai’s hopeful look, Jiayi felt like she was cornered, her back beginning to sweat with heat.
Seeing her not speaking, Zaizai started to get anxious, pitifully pleading: "Mommy, if a dozen is too many, you and daddy just make me a little brother."
Little Baozi’s obsession with having a brother was still very strong.
Jiayi was helpless. Aren’t other families’ children usually against having a second child, fearing that a brother or sister would dilute their parents’ love? Why does it not apply to Zaizai?
