"<Sorry, Master, no luck. We explored most of the city, but didn’t come across any sign of Jaden. Those Knight humans have spread out all over the place, so we decided to return and report to you>," Remarked Avaritia with a sigh.

"<Yeah, the Knights are patrolling the entire city, there are a lot of them. And they’ve declared a lockdown too, all the civilians are holed up in their homes. We did get a bunch of this world’s clothing, Boss, but can’t exactly blend in if there’s no one around to blend in with>," Added Invidia, taking a large pile of clothes from his personal slot in Treasury and setting them down.

The sun had set a while ago, and the two of them had been searching all day. Jaden’s either found a really good hiding spot, or he’s been captured...but the latter seems pretty unlikely, so I’m banking on the former.

"Hm, I see. Good work, you two. Rest up, you’ve earned it," I smiled gratefully.

Hey, Ai, analyze their memories and map out the parts of the city they already explored today, that should make it easier once they pick back up tomorrow.

"Alright, guys, let’s call it a night, shall we? Let’s get some rest and reassess tomorrow morning. It’s been an eventful day, we’re probably all feeling worn out," I suggested, as I glanced around at the others.

"Sounds good to me," Nodded Aria in agreement.

"<Same here. I could use a nice long nap>," Added Rex, who was still being clung to by Ciel, she’d refused to budge from his side this whole time.

Understandable, I’d probably be the same way if I was in her position.

"Hey, come on, you slept for, like, three months," Frowned Ciel indignantly.

"<I don’t see how that’s relevant>," He shrugged, as I brought up my System display.

Ai had added a function that lets Aria and I change the layout of the Pocket Dimension as we want.

Let’s see here...I’ll split the space into three rooms, two with bigger beds and one with a single bed. There we go, that looks good.

As I implemented the changes, the others looked around in bemusement as the Pocket Dimension shifted, more walls appearing as the space expanded to accommodate the changes I’d made.

"Alright, that should do it. Ciel, Rex, you guys can take either of the rooms to the right. Cleo, the one on the left is all yours," I remarked, stretching my arms up as I stifled a yawn.

"For no particular reason, how thick are the walls between the rooms?" Inquired Ciel, as she glanced at Rex with a gleam in her eyes.

"Don’t worry, the rooms are soundproofed," I replied with a wry smile.

"Good," She smirked, before promptly dragging Rex towards one of the room, entering and shutting the door behind them.

Well, that’s not awkward at all. I-...

"Hm? Is something wrong?" I inquired, as the door opened and Ciel walked back out.

"No, nothing like that, the room’s great...I was just wondering if we could have a few joints?" She requested sheepishly.

"Sure, no problem. How many do you want?"

"Hm...three?"

"Coming right up. Here you go," I replied, as I created the copies and tossed them to her.

"Thanks, appreciate it!" She grinned, as she caught them and rushed back to the room.

"Can I have a couple too? It should help me sleep," Spoke up Cleo.

"Mhm, sure," I nodded, creating two more copies and giving them to her.

"Thanks," She smiled gratefully, before heading towards her room.

"Come on, let’s go get in bed too, Kai," Remarked Aria, as she linked her arm with mine.

"Yeah, sounds good," I nodded, letting her lead me as we headed towards the vacant room. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

As we entered the room and shut the door, the two of us flopped onto the bed, letting out weary sighs in unison.

What a crazy day it’s been. Seriously, what are the chances of getting summoned to an entirely different world like this?

And it’s my second time in a different world, after that time I ended up in the Monster world.

"Oh, yeah, just realized this isn’t the first time you’ve ended up in another world, huh?" Remarked Aria, voicing my thoughts.

"I was literally just thinking the same thing. On the bright side, I’ve got you with me this time, that’s definitely a plus," I smiled, stroking her hair as I gave her a kiss on the side of her head.

"Yeah, this is definitely better than last time. It was awful, I was constantly worried and anxious back then...but here, while the situation is less than ideal, at least I know you’re okay. Unlike last time, we’re in this together," She grinned, as she snuggled up to me.

"Hm...actually, it might have been better if only one of us got summoned. Because unlike last time, we have the Pocket Dimension now. If, say, I got summoned here and you were still on Earth, all I’d need to do to get back would be to enter the Pocket Dimension from my end, and wait for you to open it from your end," I realized thoughtfully.

"Oh. Yeah, I didn’t even think of that."

"Well, I suppose it’s a moot point, since we’re both here. On the bright side, we do have a couple of leads on ways to get home, though first we need to regroup with Jaden. But we can worry about all that tomorrow, let’s take it easy for now. So, wanna smoke up or something?" I suggested.

"Hm...nah, I think I just want to cuddle up and doze off. Though, if you really want to get stoned, I guess I don’t mind having one or two," She replied after a brief pause.

"No, I’m not particularly craving it or anything, I don’t really have anything specific in mind. Cuddling and dozing off sounds good to me," I smiled, as I wrapped my arms around her.
