Chapter 536 - 391: Long-tailed Thunder Beast, Secret Realm Tribe, Divine Mountain (Part 2)
"The Nine Poison Sect has already been wiped out by someone named Lin Chang’sheng, and the sect leader Zhu Tianzhi, in order to escape Lin Chang’sheng’s pursuit, was forced to enter this Secret Realm. I’m afraid there’s little hope for his survival now!"
Luo Shang said, feigning sorrow.
"Who is Lin Chang’sheng? He’s got some nerve! When I get out of here, I’ll tear him to pieces!"
The old man in green was seething with rage.
"No need to wait until we’re out. That bastard chased us right into the Secret Realm as well!"
Seeing how much the other man hated Lin Chang’sheng, Dugu Yifang immediately spoke up.
"Oh?"
This genuinely surprised the old man in green. "He actually dared to come here? Then I’ll make sure there’s no way out for him!"
Li Zhu clenched his fists tight, murderous intent swirling in his heart.
"We’ll leave it to you, senior!"
Dugu Yifang’s lips curled into a slight smile. With this man’s help, Lin Chang’sheng would be facing another formidable foe.
"But this guy is no pushover. He’s got a Mahayana level expert and a powerful Demon Beast guarding him. Taking him down won’t be easy!"
Luo Shang chimed in as a reminder.
"I’ll handle it!"
Li Zhu said confidently. Once he found them, killing them would be a piece of cake.
At this moment, Lin Chang’sheng had no idea Luo Shang had rescued Dugu Yifang, or that they had run into the past sect leader of the Nine Poison Sect.
Meanwhile, Lin Chang’sheng and Gu Shan had already reached the mountainside of a vast Mountain Range.
From here, they could see part of the Secret Realm’s landscape.
"Hmm? Is that a village in the distance?"
Lin Chang’sheng spotted a massive river far ahead, and on its banks was a settlement. He was genuinely surprised.
Could there really be other people living here?
Not knowing who these people were, Lin Chang’sheng didn’t dare approach recklessly. He planned to observe for a while first.
Rumble—
Suddenly, Lin Chang’sheng heard a deafening explosion in the distance—a fierce battle seemed to be underway.
"Maybe it’s Zhu Tianzhi and the others!"
Lin Chang’sheng thought to himself, immediately rushing over.
If he found Zhu Tianzhi, he’d be sure to finish him off.
This man had teamed up with Dugu Yifang against him, so he was definitely an enemy.
But when Lin Chang’sheng and his group arrived, they realized it wasn’t Zhu Tianzhi and company fighting—rather, it was a group of strangers battling a Demon Beast covered in lightning with a long tail.
The Long-tailed Thunder Beast wasn’t especially huge, but it was about the size of an elephant.
Its tail was at least three meters long—like a steel whip. Wherever it struck, trees were snapped in two.
Sparks of lightning crackled all over its body. Its ears, as wide as umbrellas, could block most attacks.
A group of five kept up a siege against the Thunder Beast, but still couldn’t take it down.
There were four men and one woman among them—most of their attacks were deflected by the Long-tailed Thunder Beast.
Even the blows that got through only tore at its hide, not causing any fatal injuries.
Roar—
The Long-tailed Thunder Beast roared, lightning blossoming over its body, spreading out like a spider web in all directions.
This blow was clearly its killing move.
Bang bang bang—
Wherever the lightning swept, trees and rocks exploded into pieces.
The five besieging the Long-tailed Thunder Beast were thrown backward, all of them wounded.
"We have to go! It’s reached the level of a Tier Four Spirit Beast!"
One of the men shouted, and as he did, the others began to retreat.
But the beast wouldn’t let them go. Instantly, it gave chase, blasting at them relentlessly with the Power of Thunder.
One person was unlucky—struck by a blast of thunder and killed on the spot.
"Split up!"
The leader yelled, and the four survivors scattered in all directions.
The Long-tailed Thunder Beast set its sights on the woman and chased after her, lightning flashing—all set to blast her to death.
Seeing how dire the situation was, Lin Chang’sheng didn’t hesitate—he stepped in decisively, firing off a fierce punch.
His Fist Aura was overwhelmingly powerful, echoing with the roars of four beasts.
Before the Long-tailed Thunder Beast could even react, his punch crashed down on its head.
Boom—
A deafening explosion rang out as the beast was sent flying by Lin Chang’sheng’s attack.
The strike was fierce, but didn’t quite finish off the beast.
The Long-tailed Thunder Beast smashed through several trees before it finally stopped. Before it could get up, Gu Shan hit it with another punch, killing it outright.
The beast let out a mournful wail, instantly slumping lifeless to the ground, the Power of Thunder slowly fading from its body.
With the crisis resolved, the four escaping people finally stopped running.
"Are you people from the High Mountain Tribe?"
A sturdy man approached from their group, apparently the leader of the four.
He looked at Lin Chang’sheng and the others, surprised by their unfamiliar faces, and asked in confusion.
"No, we just arrived and got lost. We happened to see you fighting this Demon Beast, so we helped out."
Lin Chang’sheng replied.
He had no idea who the High Mountain Tribe was, but it seemed this Secret Realm had more than just one tribe.
"Just arrived? That’s rare! If you don’t mind, you can follow us back to our tribe to rest. Otherwise, once it gets dark out here, Demon Beasts come out to hunt—it’s extremely dangerous!"
Hearing they weren’t from the High Mountain Tribe, the sturdy man relaxed, then offered a reminder.
"If it’s convenient, that would be perfect."
Lin Chang’sheng didn’t refuse.
After all, Demon Beasts ran rampant here. If they didn’t find a decent place to rest, encountering one at night would turn into a deadly battle.
Even a random Demon Beast here was at least a Tier Four Spirit Beast. If they ran into a Tier Seven or higher, even Gu Shan would struggle.
"Of course! But this Demon Beast..."
The burly man beamed. If strong newcomers like Lin Chang’sheng and his group joined their tribe, it could only be a good thing.
But glancing at the slain beast, he hesitated a bit.
"You can have it."
Lin Chang’sheng offered without hesitation.
He had no use for the Demon Beast; maybe they needed it more.
"Then we won’t stand on ceremony!"
The man signaled to his companions, and they quickly went up to carve up the Long-tailed Thunder Beast. In just a few breaths, their sharp blades had divided it into several pieces and packed them away into their Storage Bags.
"Please, come with me!"
The man gestured invitingly, then led Lin Chang’sheng and the others off toward the tribe.
This tribe just so happened to be the one Lin Chang’sheng had seen from the Mountain Range by the riverbank.
As he walked with the strong man, they chatted along the way.
Lin Chang’sheng quickly learned more and more about this place.
The Spiritual Energy and air here were dense, making the Demon Beasts extremely powerful and unusually large.
The landscape here was so vast that no one really knew its full extent.
After all, no one would risk their life wandering everywhere.
The sturdy man’s name was Zhang Kun, from the Qingshui Tribe.
There were over three hundred people in the tribe. Zhang Kun was a junior leader, in charge of hunting and supplying food for those who hadn’t begun Fasting cultivation yet.
Through Zhang Kun, Lin Chang’sheng also heard of the High Mountain Tribe.
That tribe was located in the very center of the Secret Realm, and was very powerful.
Because the Spiritual Energy at the center was the most concentrated, everyone there had higher cultivation levels.
But the center was also the most dangerous area—Demon Beasts there were much fiercer.
When Lin Chang’sheng asked why they didn’t just leave, Zhang Kun just smiled bitterly and shook his head. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to leave and were greedy for the Spiritual Energy here.
There simply wasn’t any way out. This Secret Realm only allowed people in; nobody ever got out again.
So, as more people entered, various tribes gradually formed here.
"Oh, the chieftain once said that the only hope of leaving lies in the Divine Mountain at the Secret Realm’s center, but there’s a powerful Spirit Beast guarding it. Normal folks can’t even get close."
Something seemed to occur to Zhang Kun, and he mentioned this.
The only possible escape route lay atop the Divine Mountain at the center of the Secret Realm.
But a mighty Spirit Beast sat at the peak—most couldn’t even approach.
This news was extremely important to Lin Chang’sheng.
Looks like I’ll have to make a trip to the Divine Mountain.
